- Ready to run
- Hungry and driven by urgency
- Exceptional at what they do, with low ego
- Comfortable operating in motion
THE ROLE
As Marketing Counsel, you will be an essential legal partner to OnePay’s fast-growing marketing organization — turning ambitious, creative go-to-market ideas into launches that are compliant, ddefensible, and fast. This role will impact OnePay’s vision by providing the legal foundation for a marketing function that is a sophisticated, high-velocity engine for growth and brand awareness.
You will be the go-to counsel across a wide range of subject matters, advising the business in real time while partnering with legal teammates to draft and negotiate the agreements that make marketing run. You will work closely with the Marketing, Brand and Design, Paid Media, and Product teams.
It is well-suited for a strategic legal operator who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and can navigate intensity, ambiguity, and imperfect processes with steady judgment.
This role is responsible for
- Advising across the marketing lifecycle. Serve as the primary legal partner to marketing, brand, design, paid media, and product teams, providing practical, real-time counsel that keeps creative and campaigns moving.
- Ad tech, privacy, and consumer data. Guide the responsible use of advertising technology, tracking, and consumer data — advising on the state privacy law patchwork (CCPA/CPRA and beyond), PII, targeting, and required disclosures across the ad stack.
- Social media, creators, and influencers. Structure and paper creator, influencer, and brand-collaboration relationships, advising on FTC endorsement and disclosure rules, usage and content rights, and platform terms.
- Rewards, sweepstakes, contests, and promotions. Design and review rewards programs, sweepstakes, contests, and promotions, including official rules, registration and bonding, and multi-state regulatory compliance.
- Affiliate marketing. Advise on and paper affiliate and partner-marketing programs, including disclosures, tracking, and payout structures.
- Production and content development. Support production and content development end to end — talent and releases, music and licensing, rights clearances, and production and vendor agreements.
- Claim development. Partner with marketing and product on claim development — substantiation, puffery, comparative claims, and disclaimers — to keep messaging both compelling and defensible.
- Scaling with AI and better systems. Bring hands-on fluency with AI tools to accelerate contract review, marketing review workflows, knowledge management, and issue-spotting, while maintaining appropriate controls and confidentiality. Build lightweight, stage-appropriate processes and self-serve guidance that let marketing move fast and stay compliant as volume and complexity grow.
- Additional duties as assigned by your manager.
You bring
- J.D. and active membership in good standing with a U.S. state bar.
- 8+ years of legal experience, including at a leading law firm and/or in-house, with at least 6 years focused on marketing, advertising, and/or ad tech law.
- Deep, hands-on command of the marketing-legal landscape: advertising and consumer-protection law (FTC Act, UDAAP), promotions and sweepstakes, endorsement and influencer rules, affiliate marketing, and advertising-related privacy (CCPA/CPRA, the state privacy patchwork, PII, and ad tech/tracking).
- A demonstrated history of working directly with C-suite and other executive leadership — influencing decisions, earning trust, and communicating clearly at the highest levels.
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills across agency, vendor, talent, and marketing-partnership agreements, with a strong eye for detail.
- AI-forward: proficient with AI tooling and genuinely excited to use it thoughtfully to improve the team’s velocity and quality.
- An act-like-an-owner mentality. We have a bias toward taking action.
- A practical, business-first mindset with the ability to weigh legal risk in the context of product, brand, and commercial realities, and to drive toward creative, business-oriented results in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Clear, concise communication across creative, technical, and non-legal audiences, with the ability to influence decision-making at multiple levels.
- Intellectually curious, comfortable with ambiguity and risk, and energized by dynamic change. Low ego, high ownership, and strong collaborative instincts — no task is too big or too small.
Preferred
- Prior tech, fintech, or financial services experience, and familiarity with marketing in a regulated industry.
- In-house experience at a high-growth consumer brand or platform.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Competitive base salary, stock options, and health benefits from Day 1
- 401(k) plan with company match
- Remote-friendly (US), flexible time off (FTO), and opportunities for growth

Hi, I'm Paul, VP of Engineering at
Customer.io
. We're always looking for thoughtful, driven Engineering Managers to add to our org. Some of our teams are building customer-facing product and workflows; others keep our distributed systems reliable, observable, and ready to scale. Whichever kind of problem energizes you, if you lead people well, hold a high technical bar, and drive work to completion without waiting to be handed a plan, we want to hear from you.
About
Customer.io
Over 9,000 companies—from scrappy startups to global brands—use our platform to send billions of emails, push notifications, in-app messages, and SMS every day.
Customer.io
powers automated communication that people actually want to receive.
We help teams send smarter, more relevant messages using real-time behavioral data—what people do or don't do inside a web or mobile app. Under the hood: Go, React, and AI help us ship fast and scale with confidence.
What we value
Ownership.
You set direction and see initiatives through. You create clarity when things are murky and set the path forward rather than waiting for one to be defined, and you're motivated by impact—not just intention. You hold yourself and your team accountable to shipping, not just staying busy.
Leaders who can do both.
You operate at the strategic level and stay close to the technical work. You can align stakeholders on a plan and earn your engineers' respect in the same day—you don't choose between vision and execution, you hold both.
A drive to execute through resistance.
Competing priorities, skeptical stakeholders, tired teams—you've moved work forward anyway. You name the resistance, make the call, and own the milestones and the misses.
An AI-first mindset.
AI is central to how you build and how you lead your team to build. You have a real, concrete point of view on AI-native development, you use agentic tooling yourself, and you bring it into how your squad operates.
A healthy skepticism for "the way things are done."
You bring rigor and pragmatism. Best practices matter—but never more than forward motion. You know when to build, when to buy, and when to wait—and you're comfortable making the call with incomplete information, then adjusting as you learn.
What you'll do
Care deeply about our customers and their outcomes
Lead your squad to deliver real customer value by owning projects end to end—from planning through delivery, quality, and follow-through
Drive execution: set milestones, keep work moving through ambiguity and competing priorities, and
ship in small, observable increments rather than waiting for a release window
Make confident decisions when the path isn't obvious, and lead your team through them
Set the operating rhythm that helps your team move fastest, rather than defaulting to ceremony for its own sake
Ensure your squad's solutions are scalable, architecturally sound, flexible, and secure, with strong peer-review, QA, documentation, deployment, logging, and monitoring practices
Stay close to the work—jump into design reviews, architecture calls, and incidents rather than watching from a distance
Provide direct, timely, and specific coaching, and create meaningful development opportunities for your direct reports
Participate in an on-call rotation as required, supporting the reliability of the systems you build
Hire, onboard, and manage performance so the right people are in place to hit your squad's goals
Bring an AI-native perspective—use AI tools to accelerate the team's velocity and help everyone prototype faster and ship smarter
Partner across engineering and other departments to align efforts with customer success, and reach higher when our customers are having a bad day
What we're looking for
3+ years managing engineers at a SaaS company (B2B or B2C), ideally early-to-mid-stage
A track record of driving execution—concrete delivery outcomes with milestones, dates, and "I drove" ownership, especially in complex or fast-moving environments
A strong technical background—you can hold your own in architecture conversations and design reviews, represent your squad's technical choices across the company, and you've shipped real work recently enough to stay credible
Comfort operating with high autonomy and little prescribed structure—you create your own clarity and make difficult tradeoffs between competing priorities
Demonstrated AI-native leadership—not just personal fluency, but bringing AI-first practices into how your team builds
Experience building high-performing, inclusive, and collaborative teams
Clear, concise, and direct communication, both verbal and written
Compensation & Benefits
We believe in transparency. Starting salary for this role is $185,000-$215,000 USD (or equivalent in local currency) depending on experience and subject to market rate adjustment. In addition to base salary, this role includes an equity grant in the form of stock options, so you share in the success you help build.
We know our people are what make us great, and we're committed to taking great care of them. Our inclusive benefits package supports your well-being and growth, including
100% coverage of medical, dental, vision, mental health, and supplemental insurance premiums for you and your family
. We also offer
16 weeks paid parental leave
,
unlimited PTO
, stipends for remote work and wellness, a professional development budget, and more.

ABOUT ONEPAY
OnePay is the consumer fintech trusted by millions of Americans to make money better.
Our financial system is broken. High fees, low rates, and too few ways to actually grow your money. We’re fixing it. And we’re moving fast.
We’re an all-in-one financial services platform that brings together banking, high-yield savings, credit cards, point-of-sale lending, investing, and crypto in one place. THE ROLE
This Product Manager role sits at the center of one of OnePay's most significant new product bets: an offering designed to give customers more flexibility around their largest recurring monthly expense. You'll own this product from zero - defining the vision, leading the build, and driving it through launch and into scale. If owning something that matters, built inside a company with the distribution to make it reach millions of people, is what you're looking for, this is the role. You will:
- Own end-to-end product development from ideation through launch and iteration
- Define and drive the roadmap for a net-new consumer financial product, balancing customer needs against risk, compliance, and business constraints
- Partner closely with engineering, design, data, risk, and legal to ship a high-quality consumer experience
- Use data and experimentation to make decisions and drive continuous improvement post-launch
- Navigate underwriting and regulatory requirements as a product owner - a collaborative partner to risk and compliance, not a passenger
- Identify and manage third-party partnerships and integrations required to deliver the product
- Represent the product to senior leadership with clear, data-driven points of view on prioritization and tradeoffs
YOU BRING
- 6-12 years of product management experience in consumer fintech or fast-growing financial technology environments
- A demonstrated track record of owning and a product focusing on splitting Rent/Payments - not just contributing to one
- Knowledge and ability to use AI tools to accelerate development and deliver measurable output
- Deep comfort working at the intersection of consumer experience and financial product constraints
- A strong sense of urgency and high ownership
- High ownership - you take responsibility for outcomes and drive work end to end without waiting to be directed
- Low ego and strong collaboration skills across technical, legal, and executive stakeholders
WHAT WE OFFER
- Competitive base salary, stock options, and health benefits from Day 1

From Fivetran’s founding until now, our mission has remained the same: to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. With Fivetran, customer data arrives in their warehouses, canonical and ready to query, with no engineering or maintenance required. We’re proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven.
About Us
Fivetran and dbt Labs are bringing together two industry-leading companies with a shared mission: helping organizations unlock the full value of their data.
Together, we’re delivering the data infrastructure layer that helps organizations move, transform, and trust their data — from the moment data moves, through every transformation, to the context teams and AI systems rely on.
Fivetran helps organizations automate data movement across the systems, clouds, engines, and tools they rely on. dbt Labs pioneered analytics engineering, helping teams transform data into reliable, governed insights. Together, we support thousands of organizations as they build a trusted foundation for analytics, AI, and better business decisions.
As we bring our teams and technology together, we’re building on the strengths of both companies while continuing to deliver the products and experiences our customers know and trust. It’s an exciting time to join us: we’re creating a company with the scale, talent, and technology to help more organizations put their data to work with greater speed, confidence, and impact.
During this transition period, you may see references to both Fivetran and dbt Labs throughout our recruiting process as we integrate our teams, systems, and career sites.
About the Role
We’re looking for a
Sr Software Engineer
to join the Platform Ops team (Platform Engineering) and enable developer productivity by building and improving developer tooling and environments, and by improving other productivity tools around observability. Our team builds the shared systems and workflows engineers rely on every day—internal developer environments and self-serve tooling that makes the recommended way to ship changes the easiest way. This is a platform tooling role with a focus is on reusable capabilities and self-service workflows adopted across teams.
You’ll also help develop AI-based workflows for productivity and efficiency, including automation that improves infrastructure operations (for example, faster triage, automated runbook steps, and better self-service for common issues). You’ll prioritize the highest-impact problems by looking at where time is being lost today (slow builds, flaky tests, manual release steps, repetitive operational work) and turning that into concrete projects. You’ll set clear success metrics up front and use them to guide design decisions and rollouts.
Expect to partner closely with engineering teams to drive adoption, document changes, and iterate based on feedback. You’ll drive cross-team work across internal tooling, developer environments, observability, and reliability, focusing on measurable improvements (for example: shorter lead time, fewer incidents, and faster recovery). You’ll add automation and enable developer workflows across all three major cloud environments (AWS, Azure, and GCP).
Over time, you’ll own medium-sized projects end-to-end: identify the highest-friction workflows with partner teams, build and ship improvements, roll them out safely, and iterate based on adoption and measurable outcomes (for example: faster builds, fewer flaky tests, shorter time to debug, and less operational toil). You’ll collaborate closely with Platform Engineering, Release Engineering, Security, and product engineering teams to make improvements that are easy to adopt and maintain.
What You’ll Do
Build internal tools and services in
Python
and/or
Go
Build tooling for our internal developer platform (self-service workflows, shared patterns, developer-facing interfaces)
Add automation and enable developer workflows across all three major cloud environments (AWS, Azure, and GCP)
Develop AI-based workflows that improve developer experience and reduce repetitive manual work, including efficiency gains in infrastructure operations
Improve developer feedback loops through better observability (metrics/logs/traces), making failures easier to diagnose
Automate common engineering workflows (scaffolding, environment setup, releases, operational runbooks)
Improve observability for platform services (metrics, logs, traces) to make issues easier to detect and debug
Integrate tools into existing workflows (CLI, Slack, GitHub, dashboards) where it reduces time-to-resolution
Participate in on-call/incident response as needed and drive follow-up automation to prevent repeat issues
Skills We’re Looking For
Professional software engineering experience in
Python
and/or
Go
Experience building developer productivity tooling (CI systems, build tooling, developer portals, workflow automation)
Experience with at least one cloud provider (
AWS
,
Azure
, or
GCP
)
Strong fundamentals: testing, code review, debugging, and operating production services
Ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-team environment
You'll have an edge if you have:
Kubernetes experience
Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/OpenTofu), including reusable modules and safe state management

- Hands-on experience conducting offensive security engagements - internal red teaming, penetration testing and adversary simulation - across cloud, network and application environments
- Ability to design adversary scenarios grounded in real threat intelligence (e.g. ransomware operators, supply chain attackers, insider threat) tailored to ClickHouse's risk profile as a multi-tenant cloud data platform
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to translate attack chains into clear, actionable findings for engineering and leadership
- Experience building or adapting agentic and LLM-assisted tooling for offensive security use cases (recon automation, exploit chaining, fuzzing harnesses), with judgment on where AI genuinely speeds up an engagement versus adds noise

- Strong knowledge of and experience with one or more cloud service providers (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure), Kubernetes, Cilium
- Experience implementing and operating engineering security tools and processes (e.g. static / dynamic code analysis, software composition analysis, SBOM, OWASP SAMM, client and network fuzzing tools)

Bonus Points:
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related field
- Previous contributions to open source projects
- Security or cloud related certifications (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Previous experience in using AI security harnesses for pentesting purposes
- Experience building or operating internal red team tooling and infrastructure from scratch, rather than relying solely on off-the-shelf frameworks
- Offensive security certifications (e.g. OSCP, OSCE, OSEP, OSWE)

In the space of a day, you might be doing behind the scenes work of a Linux administrator troubleshooting performance problems by using strace on a particular process, interacting with the Product team to ensure that steps in a bug report are reproducible, or interacting with the Engineering team itself by diving deep into our codebase and putting together a merge request to actually fix a customer issue.
That’s not all though - you’d equally be invited to contribute to the source code, improve our documentation, and help build out more efficient support processes in our issue tracker. We want to live in a world where everyone can contribute, and as a member of the support team, there are no barriers to using your skills to improve the experience of our users and customers.
Some examples of our projects:
A tool to automatically check a GitLab Omnibus install for known issues
A
solution to capture the state of a customer’s server
for easier troubleshooting
A tool which turns log files into interactive tables to easily sort and filter columns
A functionality to
ChatOps
to make it easier to identify user accounts on GitLab.com
What you’ll do
Support a mix of Self-managed and GitLab.com (SaaS) customers and resolve their issues via Zendesk tickets, merge requests, email and video conferencing
Collaborate with our
Product
,
Development
,
Infrastructure
,
Customer Success
and
Sales
Teams to build new features and fix bugs, define and shape the product goals, roadmap, priorities, and strategy
Create and update documentation based on customer interactions
Collaborate with Support team members (through

)
Participate in regular rotations for weekday and weekend on-call coverage (daytime only), providing emergency support to our Self-managed and SaaS customers, or working with our SaaS Production team to coordinate incident communications
Participate in our hiring processes by reviewing applications and assessments, and by participating in interviews.
What you’ll bring
Experience in, and passion for managing customer facing cases throughout the entire support lifecycle from initial customer inquiry to triage and reproduction, writing bug reports for hand off to the development team, and case resolution
Excellent Linux systems administration knowledge (LFCE or RHCE equivalent knowledge)
Ability to use scripting languages (preferably Ruby or Bash), and MVC frameworks (preferably Ruby on Rails)
Experience with Git and CI/CD
Expertise in writing support content
Ability to communicate complex technical topics to customers and coworkers of varying technical skill level
Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and technologies like Serverless and Kubernetes
Understand a range of different GitLab implementations, and how service interruptions impact the customer.
About the team
The Support team is distributed all over the world across AMER, EMEA, and APAC regions. Support Engineers work on Support Tickets and helping GitLab’s customers, but they also dig into the code and logs to find out why something is not working as expected. The Collaboration here at GitLab is extraordinary and exciting - Support Engineers
solve complex problems together
and participate in regular pairing sessions and 1:1s, as well as coffee chats and Slack conversations that help them stay connected. Team members are given the ability to structure their shift the way it best suits their private life while maintaining our ability to address customer issues.

We’re scaling fast and staying true to what makes us different: an open-source legacy, a global collaborative culture, and a passion for meaningful work. Our team thrives in an innovation-driven environment where transparency, autonomy, and trust fuel everything we do.
You may not meet every requirement, and that’s okay. If this role excites you, we’d love you to raise your hand for what could be a truly career-defining opportunity.
This is a full-time remote opportunity. We are considering candidates from US and Canada only (EST time zone).
The Opportunity:
The Grafana Cloud Observability department is focused on enabling developers to understand the health and performance of their applications and infrastructure in any environment by providing tools to instrument their code, ingest observability data into Grafana Cloud and visualize and explore it.
In this role, you will be part of the Cloud Integrations team. We develop
our portfolio of integrations
that allow customers to collect, visualize and act on telemetry from various systems and applications.
The software you will create is a core building block for the users of Grafana Cloud, and has direct impact on Grafana Cloud’s out of the box experience.
Our work is built on Open Source technologies such as Prometheus and OpenTelemetry, which you will also have the opportunity to actively contribute to.
What You’ll Be Doing:
You will bring your software engineering expertise to develop the tooling that powers our portfolio of cloud integrations and observability apps; working to develop, maintain and scale our infrastructure observability features in Grafana Cloud.
We’re looking for someone who can work across the full stack:
Frontend - written in Typescript / React
Backend - written in Golang
Monitoring Mixins
- written in Jsonnet
Day to day, that looks like:
Ship features end to end, from the UI a user clicks through to the backend services behind it and the dashboards and alerts that ship with each integration
Move between parts of the stack as the work demands. Some weeks are a React panel, some weeks a Go service, some weeks a Jsonnet mixin
Own projects from problem statement to production, including talking to users and checking whether what you shipped actually worked
Represent the team's work outside the team: write the design proposals, run the demos, and make the case for our roadmap in cross-team discussions
Contribute upstream to Prometheus, OpenTelemetry and Grafana Alloy where our work touches them
Join the on-call rotation for the services you own
We invest heavily in developer productivity. You can use modern AI coding assistants as part of your daily workflow (your choice of tools, within security guidelines), backed by a company-funded usage budget so you can iterate quickly without unnecessary friction. We encourage pragmatic AI-assisted development: faster prototyping, test generation, refactors, documentation, and incident follow-ups—always with strong code review and quality standards. You'll also have access to the latest frontier models from OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google.
As we have embraced a remote-first approach and our engineering team is primarily remote, it is essential to possess strong communication skills and the ability to work independently. We provide support and hold regular meetings through video calls to ensure effective collaboration and alignment.
What Makes You a Great Fit:
Interest in working across the full stack, with a product-focused mindset. You start from the user problem and are comfortable deciding what to build, not only how to build it
Experience on both the backend and the frontend. We use Go and TypeScript; solid experience with comparable languages translates well
Fluency with AI-assisted development. You use coding agents and LLM tooling as part of how you work, and you have a clear view of where they speed things up and where they get in the way
Comfort being visible. You raise concerns early, advocate for your team's work across the org, and turn quiet good work into decisions other people can see and act on
Working knowledge of the observability ecosystem: Prometheus, Grafana dashboards, alerting, and what it takes to run these systems in production
Strong written communication. Most of our decisions happen in docs, issues and pull requests across several time zones
Bonus Points For:
Experience contributing to or maintaining Open Source projects, with evidence of successful pull requests and community collaboration
Experience working on Developer Tooling with a large user base
Experience building Grafana plugins, apps or dashboards
Familiarity with Grafana Alloy, the OpenTelemetry Collector, or similar telemetry pipeline tooling
Experience writing Jsonnet, or another configuration-as-code language
You have been on-call for the systems you instrument, so you know what a useful alert looks like
In Canada, the OTE (On-Target Earnings)/Base compensation range for this role is CAD $164,490 - $197,389. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset as assessed throughout the interview process. All of our roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), giving every team member ownership in Grafana Labs' success. We believe in shared outcomes—RSUs help us stay aligned and invested as we scale globally.
*Compensation ranges are country specific. If you are applying for this role from a different location than listed above, your recruiter will discuss your specific market’s defined pay range & benefits at the beginning of the process.
