About the role
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will design, implement, and evolve product capabilities while solving high-scope backend problems and influencing the technical and product direction of our teams. You will move beyond "assigned work" to actively improve the quality, reliability, and performance of our systems. You will work across product, frontend, infrastructure, data, and security boundaries, making sound architectural trade-offs, communicating complex ideas clearly in an asynchronous environment, and helping define the standards for a high-scale, global product.
Why you’ll love this role
High Impact:
You aren't just shipping features; you are shaping the architecture of a global platform used by millions.
Technical Agency:
You will influence team objectives, technical direction, and long-range goals, helping us solve problems of high scope and complexity.
Innovative Culture:
You will get to experiment with and integrate agentic AI into production engineering workflows, moving beyond simple prompt engineering to build resilient, AI-assisted systems.
Autonomy:
You will thrive in our remote-first, asynchronous organization, where clear written communication and self-direction are the pillars of success.
User-Centric Collaboration:
You’ll partner closely with PMs and designers to shape requirements, ensuring every technical decision delivers genuine value to our users.
What you’ll do
Drive Technical Direction:
Design and ship moderate to complex backend features with minimal guidance, making pragmatic choices between modular-monolith code, shared components, or independently operated services.
Raise the Bar:
Advocate for product quality, security, availability, and performance. You will define backend standards for style, maintainability, testing, APIs, and operational readiness.
Mentor & Lead:
Mentor associate and intermediate engineers, remove technical blockers, and improve team delivery practices through code and design reviews.
Operational Excellence:
Diagnose and prevent performance/reliability issues at scale. Participate in incident response and act as a technical owner where appropriate.
AI Integration:
Use AI in production engineering work to improve outcomes, evaluate its effectiveness, and coach others on responsible, high-judgment use.
What you’ll bring
Deep Backend Expertise:
A strong command of backend architecture, APIs, data systems, and performance tuning in a complex product or service environment.
Adaptability:
Proficiency in modern backend languages and a deep understanding of systems programming. We value the ability to learn and adapt over mastery of a single language.
Architectural Judgment:
Experience designing or evolving modular backend boundaries, bounded contexts, and migration-safe architectures.
Influence:
Ability to lead through influence, technical judgment, and clear written communication, effectively bridging the gap between product needs and technical reality.
Agentic AI Expertise:
Proven experience building or operating agentic systems in production—moving beyond prompt engineering to architecting loops, tool-use, and error-handling strategies that ensure reliability at scale.
Helpful experience
Experience with high-throughput distributed systems, concurrency, or profiling.
Hands-on experience with containerized production operations (e.g., Kubernetes).
Deep database performance knowledge (e.g., PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, schema evolution, partitioning).
Background in large-scale modular monoliths or event-driven systems.
Public technical communication, open-source maintenance, or experience in developer-focused SaaS.

OUR STORY:
Every year millions of people are either filing their taxes in fear or giving up on their tax refund altogether. We're working on fixing that. Our intuitive app enables anyone, regardless of education or background, to file their taxes with newfound confidence.
Spread across Germany, Spain and the UK, the team at Taxfix Group with its brands Taxfix and Steuerbot, is a compassionate group of solution-finders. We speak our minds openly, and with over 400 professionals, including tax experts, developers, and IT security experts, we're rich in ideas and voices. The group has facilitated more than 3.5 billion euros in tax refunds for its customers since its founding in 2016.
THE OPPORTUNITY:
Taxfix is continuously evolving its business model for scalability in the context of a subscription-driven revenue base. This shapes how we plan, forecast, and measure the business, and it makes revenue planning one of the most interesting places to work in FP&A right now.
As Senior Financial Analyst in the FP&A team, you will take care of the company topline model and help shape a scalable revenue planning landscape. You will report to the Senior Director of FP&A and work closely with Product, Marketing, Monetization, Data, and Accounting, with regular exposure to the Senior Leadership team.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own the company topline revenue model: design, maintain, and continuously improve it, with clear accountability for forecast accuracy.
- Lead the redesign of the revenue modeling landscape toward a scalable, and auditable structure with a single source of truth.
- Build subscription economics into planning: recurring revenue, subscriber growth, retention and churn cohorts.
- Own scenario and what-if modeling for budgeting, pre-budgeting, and long-range planning, translating business questions into quantified options.
- Drive alignment of key KPI definitions across Finance, Data, and Accounting, contributing to a single company-wide KPI glossary.
- Deliver revenue insights and analysis for Board materials and investor reporting.
- Partner with Product, Marketing, and Monetization on pricing decisions, growth cases, and ROI assessments.
- Set modeling standards within FP&A and provide technical mentorship to junior analysts.
- Drive automation of recurring planning and reporting workflows, leveraging planning tools (Pigment) and AI-enabled solutions.
YOUR PROFILE:
- 5+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or a highly analytical role, ideally in a high-growth or subscription-based business; consulting or investment banking backgrounds welcome if combined with hands-on modeling ownership.
- Proven track of owning mindset of company-level revenue or topline model, not just contributing to one.
- Deep familiarity with subscription metrics: recurring revenue, cohorts, LTV, churn, retention, and customer acquisition economics, beyond high-level financial KPIs.
- Demonstrated experience simplifying or rebuilding complex legacy models into scalable structures.
- Hypothesis-driven mindset: you form a view, test it against data, and defend it with senior stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills; able to translate stakeholders input into scalable model structures with model output designed for management and Board audiences.
- Expert in Excel and Google Sheets; experience with planning tools (Pigment a strong plus) and cloud-based finance systems.
- SQL is a strong plus; Python, R, or BI tools are welcome.
- Confident with financial statements and accounting principles, able to link revenue drivers to P&L outcomes.
- Experience mentoring or coaching junior team members is a plus.
WHY TAXFIX?
- A chance to do meaningful, people-centric work with an international team of passionate professionals.
- Holistic well-being with free mental health coaching sessions.
- A monthly allowance to spend on an extensive range of services that you can use and roll over as flexibly as you like.
- Employee stock options for all employees—because everyone deserves to benefit from the success they help to create.
- 30 annual vacation days and flexible working hours.
- A generous learning budget to support your personal and professional development and guidance from our internal L&D experts.
- Work from abroad for up to six weeks every year. Just align with your team, and then enjoy your trip.
- Plenty of opportunities to socialise as a team. In addition to internal meetups, our international team hosts regular get-togethers—virtually and in person when possible.

Fivetran helps organizations automate data movement across the systems, clouds, engines, and tools they rely on. dbt Labs pioneered analytics engineering, helping teams transform data into reliable, governed insights. Together, we support thousands of organizations as they build a trusted foundation for analytics, AI, and better business decisions.
As we bring our teams and technology together, we’re building on the strengths of both companies while continuing to deliver the products and experiences our customers know and trust. It’s an exciting time to join us: we’re creating a company with the scale, talent, and technology to help more organizations put their data to work with greater speed, confidence, and impact.
During this transition period, you may see references to both Fivetran and dbt Labs throughout our recruiting process as we integrate our teams, systems, and career sites.
About the Role
Fivetran and dbt Labs is building data pipelines to power the modern data stack for thousands of companies.
We're looking for a senior software engineer to join our Metadata team, which owns the metadata layer of the dbt platform — the discovery API, catalog, lineage, and run history services that let customers understand, trust, and act on what their data is doing.
You'll own the design and delivery of features end to end, working across high-throughput APIs and data models to make them faster, more reliable, and more capable. You'll write and review designs, raise the quality bar in code review, use the latest AI tools, and collaborate closely with product and QE to deliver work that scales.
Technologies You’ll Use
Python, Rust, GraphQL, Postgres, Snowflake, Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, GCP, Datadog
What You’ll Do
Design and implement features and performance improvements across the Metadata team's services — discovery API, catalog, lineage, and run history
Develop, maintain, and test high-quality, maintainable code, and optimize critical paths for performance
Write technical designs for feature-level work, actively seek feedback, and clearly explain the trade-offs of your decisions
Participate in and review technical designs and pull requests, providing constructive feedback to the team
Improve test coverage with comprehensive unit tests and refactor code to drive down tech debt
Troubleshoot and debug production issues, and follow up on incidents with post-mortems and mitigation plans
Break features into tasks, structure and execute your own project plans, and contribute to sprint and feature planning
Collaborate with product managers, QE, customer support, and peers to deliver the best product with high quality, performance, and scalability
Participate periodically in the on-call rotation, and be mindful of security throughout your work
Use AI tooling — IDE assistants like GitHub Copilot, coding agents like Claude Code, and conversational AI — to accelerate development and to author and review SDLC artifacts such as TDDs, PRDs, post-mortems, and test plans
Skills We’re Looking For
5+ years of experience in the software industry with a passion for solving complex software engineering problems, including designing and building backend services and reusable components from the ground up
Experience working with distributed systems and cloud computing concepts
Demonstrated ability to write well-structured, performant, and well-tested code
Ability to independently lead feature-level software and design work that satisfies project requirements, and to clearly explain design trade-offs
Can identify design flaws in existing systems and propose improvements
Experience with code reviews, design, troubleshooting, and testing
Proficiency in a modern backend or systems language such as Python, Java, C++, or C#
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with continuous integration tooling such as BuildKite, and familiarity with observability tools like Datadog or Grafana is a plus
Fluent in using AI code assistants and coding agents to generate and investigate code, and conversational AI (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT) to research, author, review, and synthesize SDLC artifacts
Bonus Skills
Experience in data processing (ETL, ELT) and/or cloud-based data platforms
Experience building or working with metadata, catalog, lineage, or discovery/search systems
Experience with GraphQL APIs and high-throughput, multi-tenant data services
Familiarity with the analytics engineering workflow and the dbt ecosystem

Proficiency in a modern backend or systems language such as Python, Java, C++, or C#
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and managing dev infrastructure
Fluent in using AI code assistants and coding agents to generate and investigate code, and conversational AI (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT) to author, review, and synthesize SDLC artifacts — and able to model those practices for a team
Bonus Skills
Experience in data processing (ETL, ELT) and/or cloud-based data platforms
Experience architecting metadata, catalog, lineage, or discovery/search systems
Experience with GraphQL APIs and high-throughput, multi-tenant data services

From Fivetran’s founding until now, our mission has remained the same: to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. With Fivetran, customer data arrives in their warehouses, canonical and ready to query, with no engineering or maintenance required. We’re proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven.
About Us
Fivetran and dbt Labs are bringing together two industry-leading companies with a shared mission: helping organizations unlock the full value of their data.
T
ogether, we’re delivering the data infrastructure layer that helps organizations move, transform, and trust their data — from the moment data moves, through every transformation, to the context teams and AI systems rely on.
Fivetran and dbt Labs are building data pipelines to power the modern data stack for thousands of companies. We're looking for an engineering manager to lead our Metadata team, which owns the metadata layer of the dbt platform: the discovery API, catalog, lineage, and run history services that let customers understand, trust, and act on what their data is doing.
You'll own technical excellence and delivery of a single team, from evolving high-throughput APIs and data models, to hardening reliability and latency for enterprise and single-tenant customers, to shipping new discovery and catalog capabilities in close partnership with product. You'll set direction, review designs and code, remove roadblocks, and grow the engineers on your team through coaching, feedback, and clear career development.
What You'll Do
Lead and grow a team of software engineers, owning hiring, onboarding, coaching, career development plans, and regular 1:1s and check-ins
Own project delivery for your team against the quarterly plan, and be accountable for the reliability and performance of the services you own (e.g. uptime and latency targets)
Review technical designs and code, and provide feedback grounded in a deep understanding of the Metadata product area and architecture
Drive the team to address technical quality — incidents, bugs, tech debt, and post-mortems — within SLA and metric targets
Partner with product and business stakeholders on planning, and maintain a realistic, prioritized feature and project backlog with a high completion rate
Contextualize and communicate the engineering vision and strategy to your team, and share the team's work and business impact with adjacent teams
Ensure engineering processes (e.g. FDLC) are implemented and consistently followed
Delegate effectively and build autonomy and a positive, high-trust culture within the team
Address performance issues and conflict promptly and fairly
Ensure your team uses AI tooling — IDE assistants like GitHub Copilot, coding agents like Claude Code, and conversational AI — to accelerate development and to author and review SDLC artifacts such as TDDs, PRDs, post-mortems, and test plans
Skills We're Looking For
Experience managing and growing a software engineering team(ideally a customer-facing product development team); including hiring, coaching, and running a full performance and career-development cycle
Strong technical foundation with the ability to review designs and code and make sound architectural trade-offs in a distributed, cloud-based systems environment
Track record of delivering complex projects on schedule while holding the team to high standards of quality, reliability, and performance
Experience owning production services and driving operational health — incident response, on-call practices, tech-debt reduction, and meeting SLAs
Ability to plan and prioritize with product partners, maintain a realistic backlog, and drive high sprint and quarterly completion rates
Communicates clearly and effectively across the team and with adjacent teams and stakeholders; keeps people well informed
Fluent in using AI code assistants, coding agents, and conversational AI (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT) to support the software development lifecycle, and able to establish those practices across a team
Bonus Skills
Experience building or operating metadata, catalog, lineage, or discovery/search systems
Experience with GraphQL APIs and high-throughput, multi-tenant data services
Familiarity with the analytics engineering workflow and the dbt ecosystem
Experience supporting enterprise or single-tenant customers with strict reliability and latency requirements

Here at Humanoid, we believe in a future where robots amplify human potential. That’s why we’ve set out on a mission to build the world’s most capable, commercially-scalable, and safe humanoid robots. We’re bringing that mission to life with HMND‑01 - our rapidly developed humanoid platform being deployed in real industrial environments - and we’re growing the team to take it even further.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Senior or Staff Reinforcement Learning Engineer to develop learning-based control policies for humanoid robots.
You will design and train reinforcement learning policies that enable dynamic locomotion and loco-manipulation behaviors on real robots. - Private healthcare, including virtual and in-person care.
- Pension scheme with 8% total contribution (5% employee, 3% employer) on full earnings.
- Free daily breakfast, catered lunch, and snacks in-office.
- Work at the frontier - collaborate daily with world-class engineers, researchers, and product experts building the next generation of AI and humanoid robotics.
- Real ownership - direct access to founding leadership, meaningful input on product direction, and the ability to drive key initiatives from day one.

At Eneba, we’re building an open, safe and sustainable marketplace for the gamers of today and tomorrow. Our marketplace supports close to 20m+ active users (and growing fast!), provides a level of trust, safety and market accessibility unparalleled to none. We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished in such a short time and look forward to sharing this journey with you. Join us as we continue to scale, diversify our portfolio, and grow with the evolving community of gamers.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a proactive and commercially-minded Head Of Business Unit to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving significant project growth, with a clear mandate to scale and significantly increase our operations and outcomes. You will serve as a key strategic Leader, leveraging your start-up experience to navigate challenges, identify growth opportunities, and execute high-impact commercial initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Full accountability for the unit's P&L: revenue, margin and cost base — you set the KPIs, build the reporting, and make the pricing and investment trade-offs rather than escalating them.
- Stand up a new business line from a standing start — validate the opportunity, ship the first version, and get it to real revenue rather than inheriting something already running.
- Define positioning, pricing and channel strategy, plan market entry, and take accountability for the launch landing — not just the plan being written.
- Keep milestones, resources and dependencies on track across every workstream, without needing to be chased.
- Pull product, engineering, marketing and finance in the same direction, translate between them, and surface blockers early — usually without direct authority over the people involved.
- Replace manual workarounds with processes that scale as the unit grows, so the business doesn't depend on you holding it together.
- Develop and own the 12–24 month growth strategy. Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities, product categories, or monetization channels that materially move the needle.
- Transition from "founder-mode" execution to building scalable processes. Institutionalize repeatable playbooks for category management, supplier onboarding, and performance monitoring that enable sustained, rapid growth.
- Foster a high-velocity testing culture. Build the framework for hypothesis-driven development, design, launch, measure, and iterate on large-scale initiatives that unlock new revenue streams.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in a high-growth B2C startup or ecommerce marketplace environment within the Digital Products ecosystem. You have personally owned a growth metric and successfully scaled it significantly (e.g., from early-stage to high-scale operations).
- Exceptional commercial and numerical acumen. You do not just read data—you build sophisticated models, surface non-obvious insights, and translate complex metrics into clear, actionable business strategies.
- A history of leading large-scale projects from concept to market-ready execution. You have experience navigating the friction of cross-departmental alignment and delivering measurable outcomes under pressure.
- You thrive in unstructured, high-velocity environments. You have a proven ability to shape chaos into process and define order where none exists.
- Strong people-management capabilities (experience leading teams of 10+ is a plus). You know how to hire, coach, and mentor high-performing talent, and you possess the executive presence to present plans to leadership.
- A relentless "Get Things Done" mindset. You are results-driven, comfortable challenging the status quo, and willing to put in the necessary effort to hit ambitious growth targets.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in English. You can influence peers, negotiate with external suppliers, and provide clarity to C-level stakeholders regarding project health and strategic pivots.
