ABOUT BASETEN
Baseten powers mission-critical inference for the world's most dynamic AI companies, like Cursor, Notion, OpenEvidence, Abridge, Clay, Gamma, and Writer. By uniting applied AI research, flexible infrastructure, and seamless developer tooling, we enable companies operating at the frontier of AI to bring cutting-edge models into production. We're growing quickly and recently raised our $1.5B Series F https://www.baseten.co/blog/announcing-our-series-f/, led by Altimeter Capital, Conviction Partners, and Spark Capital. Join us and help build the platform engineers turn to ship AI products.
THE ROLE
We’re looking for a Corporate Accounting Manager to support the general ledger, the close, and our accounting processes and controls as Baseten scales. This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role for someone who wants full ownership of the core accounting function at a company where the entity structure, transaction volume, and reporting requirements are growing quickly.
You’ll join the corporate accounting team and take on the general ledger, vendor contract review, the close calendar, and our internal control environment as the business grows. We are focused on tightening close procedures, strengthening controls, and building reporting rigor to support the scale ahead. You’ll partner closely with FP&A, Data, and cross-functional partners to make sure the books close on time and accurately every cycle.
Baseten is building the infrastructure layer for AI-native companies, and we're scaling quickly - in headcount, entity structure, transaction volume, and contract complexity and volume and vendor size. If you want real ownership over a growing function on a lean team, this role offers real scope.
RESPONSIBILITIES
General Ledger and Financial Reporting
- Own day-to-day execution of general ledger journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly financial statement preparation as the entity structure grows
- Own recurring close areas, including accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and equity compensation
- Lead month-end and year-end close, setting the calendar and holding FP&A, Data, and cross-functional partners so the books close on time every cycle
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements and flux analysis for accounting and finance leadership
- Identify and automate the manual, error-prone steps that slow the close down
Controls and Audit
- Partner directly with cross-functional teams and external auditors to keep internal controls tight and the company audit-ready
- Own audit deliverables, including technical accounting memos, schedules, and sample testing support
Systems and Cross-Functional Partnership
- Support day-to-day administration and maintenance of our accounting systems stack, including NetSuite and our spend management platform, and push for automation over manual workarounds
- Partner with FP&A on reporting, forecasting inputs, and variance analysis
- Support FP&A, Legal, and Procurement on the accounting implications of new entities, contracts, and programs
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years focused specifically on corporate accounting, general ledger, and close management
- Deep working knowledge of US GAAP across core corporate accounting areas, including accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, debt and leases
- Hands-on experience owning account reconciliations and preparing monthly financial statements
- Experience owning the close calendar directly, not just contributing to a close run by someone else
- Public company or audit-ready private company experience (Big 4 or industry, with audit exposure)
- Builder mentality with a bias toward execution; comfortable operating on a lean team relative to company scale
- Experience with NetSuite (or comparable ERP) and a modern spend management platform
- Based in San Francisco or New York, with the ability to work in-person 3+ days per week
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience at a high-growth, venture-backed infrastructure or cloud company
- Experience supporting multi-entity or international consolidations
- Integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact
- CPA
- Exposure to SOX or SOX-readiness controls work
BENEFITS
- Competitive compensation, including meaningful equity
- (U.S. only) 100% coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance for employee and dependents
- Flexible PTO policy including company wide Winter Break (our offices are closed from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day!)
- Paid parental leave
- Fertility and family-building stipend through Carrot
- (U.S. only) Company-facilitated 401(k)
- Exposure to a variety of ML startups, offering unparalleled learning and networking opportunities.

We’re scaling fast and staying true to what makes us different: an open-source legacy, a global collaborative culture, and a passion for meaningful work. Our team thrives in an innovation-driven environment where transparency, autonomy, and trust fuel everything we do.
You may not meet every requirement, and that’s okay. If this role excites you, we’d love you to raise your hand for what could be a truly career-defining opportunity.
This role is available for candidates located in Australia or Singapore.
The Opportunity:
Grafana Cloud is our composable observability platform that integrates metrics, logs, traces, and profiles with Grafana. It allows our customers to leverage the best open source observability software – including Prometheus, Mimir, Loki, Tempo, and Pyroscope – without the overhead of installing, maintaining and scaling their own observability stack.
The Databases team owns the telemetry databases that are
Mimir for metrics
,
Loki for logs
,
Tempo for traces
, and
Pyroscope for profiles
. Our databases are OSS projects that we also offer as a Cloud service supporting Grafana Cloud, and as an on-premise solution. They are multi-tenant distributed systems implemented in Go and running on Kubernetes across all major Cloud service providers (GCP, Azure, AWS). We also have engineers working on
Prometheus
,
Grafana Alloy
,
Mimir proxies
, and OpenTelemetry.
As a company we are remote-first and global, we embrace people of different experiences and backgrounds to build diverse teams where every person brings a new perspective to the software. Our tech stack is mostly made up of services written in Go, running on multiple Kubernetes clusters that leverage Cloud object storage.
We invest heavily in developer productivity. You can use modern AI coding assistants as part of your daily workflow (your choice of tools, within security guidelines), backed by a company-funded usage budget so you can iterate quickly without unnecessary friction.
We encourage pragmatic AI-assisted development: faster prototyping, test generation, refactors, documentation, and incident follow-ups—always paired with strong code review and quality standards.
You'll also have access to the latest frontier models from OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Design, build, operate, and maintain critical systems, owning the reliability, performance, and availability.
Take an active role in influencing our roadmap and your own career objectives.
Work with your team to deliver new features, then use the results to iterate and improve.
Drive projects from initial ideation all the way to operations once it is in the hands of customers.
Embrace our open-source culture and contribute to other projects that may not directly fall within your team’s scope.
Be a part of your team’s on-call rotations and take ownership of the services you’re running.
Mentor and support other team members, participate in design discussions, and collaborate with the team.
Learn new skills by gaining a deeper understanding of our cloud product and our customers and getting to know the codebase of a large distributed system.
As we are remote-first and our engineering organisation is largely remote, we provide guidance and meet regularly using video calls, so an independent attitude and good communication skills are a must.
What Makes You a Great Fit:
You are a motivated self starter with a bias towards action.
You are customer focused. We build everything with our users in mind. You have a passion for creating intuitive products that fit customers’ needs .
Pragmatism: You are able to take on complex challenges and break them down to achieve short feedback loops: to analyze, design, and build modular solutions, deliver MVPs, gather data and feedback, and then progress iteratively.
Collaboration and communication: The smallest unit we have is a team. You’ll be working with your teammates in a fully remote setup. Good communication skills are a must.
Requirements:
Solid experience with at least one programming language. We use Go, but if you have familiarity with Python, C, C++, Rust or similar then that translates well.
Some experience with delivering projects from gathering requirements and brainstorming ideas, all the way to shipping a product to the customer’s hands in a self-driven way.
Some experience with developing software that runs in the Cloud
or
some experience with systems engineering.
Experience writing clean, robust, and performant software that is easily maintained by others.
Bonus Points For:
Experience writing low level code for databases, storage layers, or query engines.
Experience working with Kubernetes.
Been a user of Grafana and/or Prometheus in operational roles (including on-call for your team at a previous employer or just using these tools in hobby/homelab projects).
Exposure to microservices architecture and distributed systems, or a desire to learn.
Familiarity with being on-call and performing operations/SRE tasks or with the concept of infrastructure as code.
Compensation & Rewards:
In Singapore, the Base compensation range for this role is SGD 167,000 to SGD 237,000. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset as assessed in the interview process. Benefits include equity, bonus (if applicable) and other benefits listed
here
.
*Compensation ranges are country specific. If you are applying for this role from a different location than listed above, your recruiter will discuss your specific market’s defined pay range & benefits at the beginning of the process.

THE ROLE
We are bringing our people systems in-house on Workday, and we are hiring our first dedicated Workday Analyst to make it excellent. You will join while the implementation is underway, ramp alongside our deployment partner, and own the tenant from go-live onward. This is a hands-on configuration role: you will build business processes, manage security, load data, and test releases yourself, and you will teach others on the People team to do the same as we grow. If you want to shape a Workday environment from its first day in production instead of inheriting years of someone else's decisions, this is that rare opening.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own day-to-day Workday configuration: business processes, security groups and roles, custom reports, calculated fields, and tenant settings
- Build and run EIB loads for data changes, mass updates, and audits
- Own the twice-yearly Workday release cycle: evaluate new features, regression-test, and roll out changes safely
- Shadow the implementation build, then take over tenant ownership at go-live
- Monitor integrations and triage issues with our IT team and vendors
- Support payroll configuration in partnership with our Accounting team and payroll services provider
- Field and resolve system requests from employees, managers, and the People team
- Mentor teammates so Workday administration becomes a team capability, not a single point of failure
REQUIREMENTS
- 6+ years administering a live Workday tenant in-house (customer side, not consulting)
- Deep Workday HCM core: business process configuration, security administration, and Report Writer
- Fluent with EIBs and comfortable owning data loads end to end
- Have shipped multiple Workday releases and know how to test them
- A builder's temperament: you do the configuration yourself and like it that way
- Clear written communication for documentation and change notes
- Excitement about a pace that's faster than anywhere you've worked before
- You'd rather improve on your old playbooks than reuse them as-is, and you're interested in AI tools that help you do it
NICE TO HAVE
- Workday Payroll configuration experience
- Workday Benefits module configuration (plan and enrollment event setup)
- Workday Absence Management configuration (time off and leave plans)
- Workday Pro or similar certifications
- Commutable to our San Francisco or New York office
BENEFITS
- Competitive compensation, including meaningful equity
- (U.S. only) 100% coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance for employee and dependents
- Flexible PTO policy including company wide Winter Break (our offices are closed from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day!)
- Paid parental leave
- Fertility and family-building stipend through Carrot
- (U.S. only) Company-facilitated 401(k)
- Exposure to a variety of ML startups, offering unparalleled learning and networking opportunities.

THE ROLE
We are hiring at a rapid rate, and every one of our new hires deserves a great new hire experience from the moment they sign their offer letter through their entire onboarding journey. As our People Operations Coordinator, you'll own the tactical side of onboarding: collecting and tracking the completion of required documentation, greeting new hires, assisting in running sessions, and keeping the operations of onboarding on track as we grow. The role is heavily onboarding-focused today and will broaden across the employee lifecycle as our new people systems take over more of the routine work. Things change quickly here, and this role will too. This role is based in our San Francisco office.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own the full onboarding experience for every new hire, including: new hire communication from offer signature through Day 1; ensuring completion of onboarding tasks like background checks, Form I-9s, setting up HRIS profiles, etc; coordinating travel logistics; partnering with the Global Mobility Manager on immigration matters that may affect start dates
- Support day one and San Francisco week one onboarding program, including coordinating with managers and buddies, room booking and coordination of start location
- Partner with IT and Workplace so new hires have the right access, equipment, and desk waiting on day one
- Manage the logistics behind our onboarding platform and manage the day-to-day vendor relationship
- Support more moments in the employee lifecycle as the role evolves, from job changes to location moves and more
- Bring ideas for making the day-to-day run smoother, from automating a task to fixing a clunky step
- Handle sensitive employee information with discretion
REQUIREMENTS
- 2-4 years in a high-volume coordination or operations role - People function preferred
- Extremely organized and detail-oriented, with a tactical, get it done approach, where tasks don't get dropped on your watch
- Self-directed and comfortable with ambiguity
- Extremely clear written communicator
- Based in San Francisco and able to work in the office 3+ days per week
NICE TO HAVE
- Comfortable presenting to groups and facilitating engaging onboarding sessions for new hires as needed
- Experience incorporating AI tools, such as Claude, into workflows, with a strong mindset toward automation and systems integration.
- Experience working with recruiting, HRIS and onboarding platforms and related People systems.
- Strong spreadsheet skills, including comfort working with formulas and organizing complex data.
- Experience at a fast-growing startup

THE ROLE
We're looking for a social media manager to own how Baseten shows up on social. Our audience is ML engineers, infrastructure teams, and technical founders, and most of them meet us first on X or LinkedIn, around a model launch, a benchmark, an open source release, or a customer result. This role decides what that first impression is.
This is a senior individual contributor role. You set the strategy and you write the posts. Day to day you'll work with product marketing, comms, design, our engineers, and our founders.
This role relies on technical credibility. You don't need an engineering background, but you do need to understand what we're claiming and why it matters. We post about latency, throughput, and GPU cost, and we hold ourselves to getting those details right.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- This role is the face of the Baseten brand on our social channels and builds our direct line of communication with the community across X, LinkedIn, YouTube, and the communities where our audience already spends time.
- Track the conversation across AI and open source, and move quickly when we have something useful to add.
- Set the social strategy: what we post where, how each account grows, and how we measure it, with a clear point of view on which channels deserve investment and which don't.
- Translate technical work into posts worth sharing: model launches, benchmark results, open source projects, engineering deep dives, and customer outcomes.
- Lead the social side of launches alongside product marketing, product, and engineering.
- Produce content. Shoot and edit short-form video at events, in the office, and around launches, and brief a freelancer or design partner when that's faster.
- Scale the voices of our team. Help engineers, GTM, and leadership post in a way that still sounds like them, and ghostwrite where it helps.
- Report on follower growth, engagement, reach, and share of voice against goals, and change the plan when the numbers say to.
- Manage the contractors and creators who extend our output beyond one person.
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years running social for a technical, developer-facing, or B2B technology brand, most of it as the person writing and shipping the posts.
- A track record of growing an account. We'll ask you to walk us through posts you wrote and what made them land.
- Technical fluency to write accurately about inference, GPUs, and model performance, and to ask our engineers the right follow-up questions.
- Native fluency on X and LinkedIn, and comfort producing short-form video.
- Experience being trusted with a brand account, including the judgment calls about what not to post.
- Comfort in a fast launch cycle where the plan changes and the window to react is short.
- A point of view on how AI companies show up online, with specifics on who does it well.

This is a remote position. We are considering candidates in Germany, Sweden, Spain, Ireland and the UK only.
The Observability department is focused on enabling developers to understand the health and performance of their applications and infrastructure in any environment by providing tools to instrument their code, ingest observability data into Grafana Cloud and visualize and explore it.
What is the Ingest team?
We build and maintain the configuration and deployment tooling that bridges the gap between "I want observability" and "I have observability,". To achieve this the team owns
Fleet Management
, the
Kubernetes Monitoring Helm Chart
, and the
Instrumentation Hub
. Fleet Management is the cloud-based central control plane our customers use to manage hundreds of thousands of Observability Collectors in the wild. The Kubernetes Monitoring Helm Chart is used to effectively deploy Observability Collection in Kubernetes based environments. The Instrumentation Hub seamlessly combines Fleet Management and the Kubernetes Monitoring Helm Chart to achieve a magic 1-command instrumentation experience.
What You'll Be Doing:
Manage and develop the team of backend and frontend engineers, providing regular feedback and supporting each person’s growth through career conversations. This is a remote team, distributed between EMEA and NASA.
Collaborate closely with go-to-market to ensure customers and prospects are successful with their Observability collection journey.
Work closely with product and engineering leadership to ensure Fleet Management, the Kubernetes Helm Chart, and the Instrumentation Hub fit seamlessly into the end-to-end user experience for Grafana cloud products.
Provide guidance throughout the project lifecycle from early ideation through planning, execution and post‑launch guiding the team to deliver high‑quality results consistently.
Foster a psychologically safe environment where engineers can learn, experiment and iterate quickly, encouraging innovation and a culture of continuous improvement.
Work across team boundaries by contributing to projects outside your team’s scope and partnering with other functions to solve customer problems.
As a company we are remote-first and global, we embrace people of different experiences and backgrounds to build diverse teams where every person brings a new perspective to the software.
What Makes You a Great Fit:
Experience in either of these areas is a strong advantage: Observability (especially OpenTelemetry), or building a central control plane that manages fleets of collectors.
You will be comfortable working with engineering teams who have a strong sense of autonomy in their decision-making, be it technical or product focused.
While you’re great with people and adept at managing relationships, you still keep up-to-date with the latest technical trends and shifts in order to maintain and enhance your understanding of the challenges your teams face.
Comfortable collaborating across time zones and cultures in a fully remote environment, using clear, empathetic communication to build trust, connection, and psychological safety.
Demonstrated ability to manage complexity, align stakeholders, and elevate team performance to deliver meaningful, high-quality results.
Deeply customer-focused, consistently grounding decisions and technical choices in user needs and real-world impact.
Solid understanding of distributed systems principles, including scalability, fault tolerance, consistency, and observability.
Comfort with AI-assisted tooling.
We embrace AI and agentic development so we expect you to be curious and comfortable using AI-powered tools and ideally have practical experience folding them into a team’s workflow.

- Turn ambiguous customer and market signals into clear recommendations for Product, Sales, and Marketing.
- Develop competitive messaging against inference providers, cloud platforms, and internal DIY alternatives
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Partner with Engineering to ensure technical claims are accurate, defensible, and supported by real product behavior.
- Work with Sales and Solutions teams to understand deal blockers, buyer objections, and enablement gaps.

REQUIREMENTS
