Hi, I'm Paul, VP of Engineering at
Customer.io
. We're always looking for thoughtful, driven Engineering Managers to add to our org. Some of our teams are building customer-facing product and workflows; others keep our distributed systems reliable, observable, and ready to scale. Whichever kind of problem energizes you, if you lead people well, hold a high technical bar, and drive work to completion without waiting to be handed a plan, we want to hear from you.
About
Customer.io
Over 9,000 companies—from scrappy startups to global brands—use our platform to send billions of emails, push notifications, in-app messages, and SMS every day.
Customer.io
powers automated communication that people actually want to receive.
We help teams send smarter, more relevant messages using real-time behavioral data—what people do or don't do inside a web or mobile app. Under the hood: Go, React, and AI help us ship fast and scale with confidence.
What we value
Ownership.
You set direction and see initiatives through. You create clarity when things are murky and set the path forward rather than waiting for one to be defined, and you're motivated by impact—not just intention. You hold yourself and your team accountable to shipping, not just staying busy.
Leaders who can do both.
You operate at the strategic level and stay close to the technical work. You can align stakeholders on a plan and earn your engineers' respect in the same day—you don't choose between vision and execution, you hold both.
A drive to execute through resistance.
Competing priorities, skeptical stakeholders, tired teams—you've moved work forward anyway. You name the resistance, make the call, and own the milestones and the misses.
An AI-first mindset.
AI is central to how you build and how you lead your team to build. You have a real, concrete point of view on AI-native development, you use agentic tooling yourself, and you bring it into how your squad operates.
A healthy skepticism for "the way things are done."
You bring rigor and pragmatism. Best practices matter—but never more than forward motion. You know when to build, when to buy, and when to wait—and you're comfortable making the call with incomplete information, then adjusting as you learn.
What you'll do
Care deeply about our customers and their outcomes
Lead your squad to deliver real customer value by owning projects end to end—from planning through delivery, quality, and follow-through
Drive execution: set milestones, keep work moving through ambiguity and competing priorities, and
ship in small, observable increments rather than waiting for a release window
Make confident decisions when the path isn't obvious, and lead your team through them
Set the operating rhythm that helps your team move fastest, rather than defaulting to ceremony for its own sake
Ensure your squad's solutions are scalable, architecturally sound, flexible, and secure, with strong peer-review, QA, documentation, deployment, logging, and monitoring practices
Stay close to the work—jump into design reviews, architecture calls, and incidents rather than watching from a distance
Provide direct, timely, and specific coaching, and create meaningful development opportunities for your direct reports
Participate in an on-call rotation as required, supporting the reliability of the systems you build
Hire, onboard, and manage performance so the right people are in place to hit your squad's goals
Bring an AI-native perspective—use AI tools to accelerate the team's velocity and help everyone prototype faster and ship smarter
Partner across engineering and other departments to align efforts with customer success, and reach higher when our customers are having a bad day
What we're looking for
3+ years managing engineers at a SaaS company (B2B or B2C), ideally early-to-mid-stage
A track record of driving execution—concrete delivery outcomes with milestones, dates, and "I drove" ownership, especially in complex or fast-moving environments
A strong technical background—you can hold your own in architecture conversations and design reviews, represent your squad's technical choices across the company, and you've shipped real work recently enough to stay credible
Comfort operating with high autonomy and little prescribed structure—you create your own clarity and make difficult tradeoffs between competing priorities
Demonstrated AI-native leadership—not just personal fluency, but bringing AI-first practices into how your team builds
Experience building high-performing, inclusive, and collaborative teams
Clear, concise, and direct communication, both verbal and written
Compensation & Benefits
We believe in transparency. Starting salary for this role is $185,000-$215,000 USD (or equivalent in local currency) depending on experience and subject to market rate adjustment. In addition to base salary, this role includes an equity grant in the form of stock options, so you share in the success you help build.
We know our people are what make us great, and we're committed to taking great care of them. Our inclusive benefits package supports your well-being and growth, including
100% coverage of medical, dental, vision, mental health, and supplemental insurance premiums for you and your family
. We also offer
16 weeks paid parental leave
,

You’ll succeed here if you’re deeply curious, eager to grow, and excited to hone your craft in People. This is a launchpad opportunity to learn from strong leaders, build expertise across the full spectrum of People work, and help shape moments that matter—bringing energy, optimism, and genuine care for people while helping build a workplace where everyone can do the best work of their careers.
As the regional anchor for how Notion’s global people & environment programs come to life outside the U.S., you’ll sit at the intersection of global vision and local execution. Based in Dublin and reporting to the Notino Experience & Environment Lead for APAC & EMEA, you’ll partner closely with the Global Experience Programs team in AMER and environment teams across Dublin, Sydney, Tokyo, Seoul, and Hyderabad—translating global programs into locally relevant, high-quality experiences and building the operational infrastructure to deliver them consistently at scale.
We work from our offices on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays (our Anchor Days) because we do our best thinking and building together in person. We’re looking for someone who’s excited to work alongside the team during those days.
WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE:
- Own regional program operations. Take end-to-end ownership of key people programs across EMEA and APAC — from onboarding and performance cycles to engagement surveys and talent retention initiatives. You'll research, plan, launch, and iterate.
- Bridge global and local. Act as the connective layer between the Global Experience Programs team and on-the-ground environment teams. You'll translate global frameworks into locally relevant experiences.
- Build the infrastructure. Create processes, playbooks, and agents that make local execution easier and more consistent across markets. Think onboarding workflows, program calendars, and repeatable delivery frameworks.
- Elevate Affinity Groups. Partner with Affinity Group leads across the region to strengthen their programmes, provide operational support, and help surface retention and engagement insights from within those communities.
- Use data to drive decisions. Build and maintain dashboards that track program health, adoption, and outcomes. Use what you learn to run experiments, course-correct quickly, and demonstrate ROI.
- Partner cross-functionally. Work closely with People Partners, NoE , Recruitment and business leaders to align people programs with organisational goals and ensure an inclusive, well-supported employee experience.
- Champion the Notion Experience. Help craft and bring to life a more distinct Notino Experience brand across EMEA and APAC — reimagining how we work, how we connect, and what it feels like to be a Notino in your region.
SKILLS YOU'LL NEED TO BRING:
- Programatic: experience running people programs end-to-end, across multiple markets & time zones.
- AI-native mindset: you’re “AI‑pilled” in the best way: you proactively use AI tools to speed up research, ops, and communication, and you’re excited to build AI agents/playbooks.
- Project management: strong skills and the ability to hold many moving pieces.
- Stakeholder trust: you build trust naturally across levels, from team members to executive partners.
- Bias toward action: you’re resourceful, scrappy when needed, and energised by a fast-moving environment.
- Change management: experience driving change at a high-growth company — you know how to bring people along, not just roll things out.
- Executive presence: you’re comfortable presenting to and partnering with senior leaders.
NICE TO HAVES:
- Familiarity with or enthusiasm for Notion
- Experience working across APAC and EMEA markets, with an understanding of cultural nuance in employee experience.
Notion is committed to providing highly competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits. The compensation offered for this role will be based on multiple factors such as location, the role's scope and complexity, and the candidate's experience and expertise, and may vary from the range provided below. The estimated range for total on target earnings (including base salary and on target incentive pay) for this role is €45,000 - €70,000 per year.

A NOTE ON AI
You don’t need deep AI expertise for every role, but we do expect every Notino to be intellectually curious, drawn to tinkering and discovery, and excited to use AI as a real collaborator in their work. For some roles, AI fluency is a core requirement — when that’s the case, we'll say so explicitly in the qualifications. People who thrive here don’t treat AI as a novelty. They use it to think better, and make their work easier for others to build on.
EQUAL OPPORTUNITY & ACCOMMODATIONS

ABOUT THE ROLE
Our Marketing team shapes how the world sees and experiences Attio. We think strategically, move fast, and obsess over quality—from acquisition to brand to product marketing. We experiment constantly, craft clear narratives, and focus relentlessly on what drives growth.
We’re looking for a Demand Generation Lead to own one of Attio’s most important growth opportunities: building the demand engine that helps us win larger customers.
You’ll lead our demand generation strategy across mid-market and enterprise accounts. Working closely with Sales, SDRs, Product Marketing, Growth Marketing, and Studio, you’ll build and scale our account-based marketing motion, lead field marketing initiatives, define our lead qualification strategy, and create the programmes that consistently generate qualified pipeline.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role suited to someone who combines strategic thinking with exceptional execution. You’ll be responsible for standing up new programmes, partnering closely with Sales, and continuously optimising how demand is generated, nurtured, and converted into pipeline as Attio continues to scale.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Demand generation: Own Attio’s demand generation strategy, delivering integrated campaigns that generate qualified pipeline across mid-market and enterprise accounts.
Account-based marketing: Build and scale our ABM programme, partnering closely with Sales to engage high-value target accounts.
Field marketing: Plan and execute events, executive dinners, roundtables, and other in-person experiences that accelerate pipeline and strengthen customer relationships.
Lead management: Own lead qualification, scoring, nurture programmes, and sales handoff processes to maximise conversion throughout the funnel.
Sales partnership: Work closely with Sales and SDRs to align on pipeline goals, enable account engagement, and continuously improve campaign performance.
Performance optimisation: Measure campaign effectiveness, uncover insights, and continually experiment to improve pipeline generation and marketing ROI.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
Demand generation expertise: A proven track record of building and scaling demand generation or account-based marketing programmes that drive measurable pipeline growth within B2B SaaS.
Strategic ownership: Experience operating in a senior, high-autonomy role, building new marketing programmes and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
Marketing operations: Strong understanding of lead scoring, qualification frameworks, funnel management, and sales handoff processes.
Commercial mindset: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data to inform decisions and optimise marketing performance.
Cross-functional collaboration: Experience partnering effectively with Sales and SDR teams around shared pipeline goals.
Executional excellence: Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
