The ‘In-Store’ squad is focused on building and improving the integrations with new and existing POS (Point of Sale) partners and systems. They ensure that customers orders successfully flow through the Olo ecosystem by driving critical SLA’s, uptime and overall performance when it comes to integrations with external partners.
This position is perfect for someone who has experience in the POS domain or who has been building systems that integrate with external partner platforms. You’ll have the support of a highly experienced engineering team consisting of 8 engineers in one squad. On a management level, the team is led by a dedicated Engineering Manager.
How you’ll make an impact
Deliver small-to-medium features independently, with some initial guidance, contributing across much of the team’s domain and components.
Collaborate with Product, Design, and other stakeholders to drive requirements for the work in front of you, and make well-reasoned design decisions at a component level, understanding the trade-offs involved.
Write code with testability, readability, and maintainability in mind.
Troubleshooting and incident management efforts, helping Senior Engineers to resolve critical production issues and improving system reliability.
Actively seek to learn about new technologies and trends, and how they might apply to what we’re building.
Use Claude Code and GitHub Copilot extensively as part of your daily workflow, and grow your skills through hands-on AI training designed to help you become highly effective with modern AI coding agents and IDEs.
Consistently contribute to team documentation, sharing what you learn with the squad, and providing useful feedback during estimation and in retrospectives.
Active participation in on-call duties is required, with specific responsibilities determined by your assigned team and area of expertise.
What will set you up for success
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
3+ years of experience in software engineering post graduation.
Good experience in the .Net and C# ecosystem.
Working knowledge of architectural patterns for distributed systems (e.g., microservices, event-driven architecture using Kafka), and the judgement to weigh design trade-offs at a component level.
Experience working with cloud infrastructure and services (e.g., AWS, Kubernetes/EKS) and implementing DevOps best practices using CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Octopus Deploy, and Terraform.

ClickHouse is the open-source, real-time analytical database behind a lot of today's AI. More than 4,000 companies build on ClickHouse, including Anthropic, OpenAI, Tesla and Meta.
As a TAM Architect, you're the named technical lead for a small group of our largest customers. You carry the context of how they run ClickHouse, guide them from their first design decisions through production and growth, and make sure the rest of ClickHouse shows up for them when it matters. Your job is to keep them healthy, help them get more out of ClickHouse, and spot the next use case.
You'll work inside our Support organisation and own escalations for your accounts, working closely with our support engineers. The role is based in Singapore, covering customers across APJ.
Large enterprises are moving onto ClickHouse fast, and we're building out how we look after them. People joining now have a real say in how this role works.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Run a regular cadence with 4 to 8 strategic accounts (weekly, fortnightly or monthly, depending on the project), plus quarterly health checks and business reviews, on site where it helps
- Lead onboarding, where the decisions that are hardest to reverse get made: schema and data modelling, table engines, ingestion, migration and query design
- Once customers are live, keep performance and cost on track as they grow, and help them onto new use cases
- Work closely with Support: own escalations for your accounts, with regular case reviews and a direct line into L3 engineering
- Work with the right people for each piece of work: partner with Solutions Architects on new use cases and proof of concepts, and bring in Consulting Engineers for hands-on projects
- Write it down: documented setup and configuration, knowledge base articles and reference architectures that help other customers too
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- 5+ years in a hands-on, customer-facing technical role after the sale, whether your title was TAM, solutions architect, professional services, senior support or something else
- Specialist depth in data modelling, query performance and integration on distributed or analytical databases
- Hands-on SQL. You regularly write complex queries from scratch, and tune and debug them yourself
- Experience owning a small book of high-touch enterprise accounts, where you know each customer's architecture in depth
- Hands-on cloud experience (AWS, GCP and/or Azure)
- You've run distributed systems, such as distributed databases, in production
- You explain technical trade-offs clearly, to engineers and to executives
- Fluent English
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with ClickHouse, or with other analytical databases such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift or Druid
- Involvement in open source, as a user, contributor or community member
- A working knowledge of Kubernetes
GOOD TO KNOW
- You'll be based in Singapore. Travel to customer sites is part of the job, up to 35% of your time, across APJ
- You'll join our APJ Support Services team, alongside Support Engineers and Consulting Engineers
- You'll be part of the on-call rota, about one week a quarter, with time off in lieu if you're paged at a weekend
HOW WE HIRE
- A 30-minute call with our recruiter
- A conversation with the hiring manager
- A take-home exercise, designed to take four to five hours, with three working days to complete it
- A 90-minute technical interview with the team: you'll walk us through your take-home, then join a working session where you write and tune SQL live
- A final conversation with our VP of Support Services
- References, then an offer
The working session is without AI tools, so make sure you're comfortable writing queries from scratch. Download open-source ClickHouse and practise: it's free, easy to install, and great preparation.
