About Nebius:
Nebius is leading a new era in cloud infrastructure for the global AI economy. We are building a full-stack AI cloud platform that supports developers and enterprises from data and model training through to production deployment, without the cost and complexity of building large in-house AI/ML infrastructure.
Built by engineers, for engineers. From large-scale GPU orchestration to inference optimization, we own the hard problems across compute, storage, networking and applied AI.
Listed on Nasdaq (NBIS) and headquartered in Amsterdam, we have a global footprint with R&D hubs across Europe, the UK, North America and Israel. Our team of 1,500+ includes hundreds of engineers with deep expertise across hardware, software and AI R&D.
The Product
In a rapidly evolving world, trust in AI depends on AI agents being grounded in fresh, verified real-world data. Search is the foundation that makes this possible.
We are building an agent-native search platform designed specifically for AI systems rather than human users. Our product provides programmatic, low-latency, and observable search APIs that AI agents use to retrieve, filter, and reason over real-world information at scale.
The Role
As a Senior ML Engineer focused on Search Optimization, you will work on improving the quality of our search product across the all parts of the search stack.
You will work on problems such as query understanding, query reformulation and expansion, retrieval, ranking, reranking, and result selection. Your goal will be to identify where search quality is lost, develop better approaches, and turn them into measurable improvements in production.
This is an applied ML and information-retrieval role combining experimentation with production impact. You will work with real-world queries, large-scale search systems, and evaluation signals to improve relevance, recall, freshness, and overall result quality.
In this position, your responsibility will be to
Design, implement, and operate the retrieval system for a search vertical
Connect and tune the data pipeline, from ingestion to relevance tuning
Build knowledge-graph and entity-resolution layers: entity linking /
NER
, ontologies, and graph databases (Neo4j or similar)
Develop structured-extraction pipelines over messy, unstructured domain data
Reason about freshness and trust: model how confident we are in a fact and how stale it has become before we serve it
Define evaluation and quality metrics for relevance and drive measurable improvements
Collaborate with crawling, indexing, and ML teams to ensure retrieval and ranking requirements are met
Enable safe experimentation with retrieval, ranking, and extraction strategies
You may be a good fit if you have:
6+ years of software engineering experience, some of it in search / information retrieval
Strong
IR
fundamentals: inverted indexes,
BM25
/
TF-IDF
, query understanding, ranking, and evaluation (nDCG/
MRR
/recall@k)
Experience with vector & hybrid retrieval: ANN, dense+sparse fusion, embeddings models
Experience building structured extraction over messy/unstructured domain data
Fluent in Python and comfortable with systems-level performance work
Strong candidates may also have experience with:
Knowledge graphs: entity resolution, entity linking /
NER
, graph DBs (Neo4j), ontologies / schema design
Owning relevance / ranking for a real product and improving it against
IR
metrics
Data quality, truth discovery, or systems that decide how much to trust a piece of information
Published work on
IR
, ranking, or knowledge graphs
Benefits & Perks:
Competitive compensation
Career growth and learning opportunities
Flexibility and ownership
Collaborative and innovative culture
Opportunity to work on impactful AI projects
International environment and talented teams
What's it like to work at Nebius:
Fast moving - Bold thinking - Constant growth - Meaningful impact - Trust and real ownership - Opportunity to shape the future of AI
Equal Opportunity Statement:
Nebius is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace and to providing equal employment opportunities in all aspects of employment. This role is designed for someone who thrives in builder environments, is energized by a product that sells itself once prospects see it, and wants ownership over outcomes, not just activity.
Requirements
Drive New Business Growth
Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, discovery, demos, proposals, negotiation, and close.
Build and maintain a target account strategy by segment and customer profile.
Clearly articulate the ROI, efficiency gains, and revenue impact of AI-powered call handling and booking automation.
Seamlessly transition new customers to onboarding and Customer Success for activation and first value realization.
Build a Repeatable Outbound Motion
Lead outbound strategy and execution across calls, email, LinkedIn, and industry events.
Develop and iterate on talk tracks, competitive positioning, objection handling, and demo structure.
Establish pipeline creation targets and inspection routines that translate activity into predictable results.
Create repeatable playbooks covering segments, sequences, cadences, and qualification criteria.
Shape the Go-to-Market Strategy
Share structured customer insights and market feedback with Product and leadership to inform roadmap, pricing, and packaging decisions.
Maintain accurate pipeline, activity tracking, and forecasting in CRM (HubSpot).
Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly KPIs across outreach, demos, pipeline, and revenue.
Coordinate with Partnerships and Marketing to leverage partner channels and campaigns for pipeline generation.
What Success Looks Like
In the First 90 Days
You’ve built a clear target account list by segment and launched outbound motions that are producing qualified opportunities.
CRM pipeline and activity tracking are clean, reliable, and maintained.
You’ve delivered multiple demos, progressed deals through the pipeline, and closed your first customers.
In 6 to 12 Months
A predictable sales engine is running: outbound activity is converting to qualified pipeline, and pipeline is converting to closed revenue.
You’ve closed a meaningful book of new business and the customer base is growing steadily.
Sales playbooks, talk tracks, and demo flows are documented and repeatable.
You’re contributing to expansion beyond the initial vertical, identifying and testing new market segments.
Benefits
Required
3 to 5+ years of proven success in B2B SaaS new business sales, with a strong track record of closing.
Strong hunter mentality: comfortable with outbound prospecting and generating your own pipeline, not reliant on inbound leads.
Experience managing a full sales cycle from first contact through contract execution.
Confident running discovery calls and solution-based sales conversations that connect product capabilities to business outcomes.
Experience building or materially improving a sales motion: process, messaging, cadence, and forecasting.
Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
CRM experience (HubSpot, Salesforce, or equivalent).
Self-motivated, goal-driven, and comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Preferred
Experience selling in marine management, storage systems, dealership platforms, or adjacent verticals is a strong plus.
Experience selling AI, automation, or voice/conversational technology products.
Experience in vertical market software or operationally complex environments where the buyer is an operator, not a tech team.
Startup or early-stage SaaS experience where you had to build the motion, not just run it.
Why Join
Sell a product that prospects can see and hear in action from the first demo, in a market that is ready for it.
Ground-floor opportunity: be one of the first commercial hires as the business establishes its leadership team and revenue engine.
Direct influence on positioning, pricing, go-to-market strategy, and product direction.
Competitive base salary with uncapped commission and high OTE potential.

ABOUT DOCKER
Docker has been one of the most loved brands in developer tooling, trusted by more than 20 million monthly users and over 20 billion container image pulls. From solo founders to the world's largest companies, developers rely on Docker to build, share, and run their applications across our suite of products including Docker Desktop, Docker Hub, and Docker Scout.
We are a globally distributed, remote-first team building the tools that define how software gets built and delivered. As AI agents redefine software development, Docker is at the center of that shift, providing the sandboxed environments, verified images, and secure infrastructure that make autonomous workflows trustworthy by default.
_______________________________________________________________________
THE ROLE
Docker seeks a Principal Software Engineer to define the technical vision and architecture for our internal Developer Tools team. This is a rare opportunity to establish how software is designed, built, shipped, and operated at Docker. With the addition of AI we are modernizing our SDLC and building the mechanisms that make the right way the easy way for every engineer.
You'll own the technical strategy across four interconnected pillars:
- Platform Engineering & Self-Service: Design and build the internal developer platform that empowers teams across Docker to unblock themselves, rapidly scaffolding, prototyping, deploying, and operating their own services and tools.
- CI/CD & Build Systems: Define Docker's technical approach to continuous integration, delivery, and build infrastructure. Establish architectural standards for pipeline tooling, GitOps deployment patterns, build substrate, and release engineering.
As Principal Software Engineer, you'll partner with engineering leadership across Docker, principal engineers, Security, Infrastructure, and the service teams to author the SDLC tenets that underpin all of this work, and build the mechanisms those tenets run through.
Reporting to the Sr Manager of Developer Tools, you'll collaborate closely with engineering leadership across Docker, product engineering teams, platform teams, and ultimately customers as internal tools evolve into product offerings.
_______________________________________________________________________
WHAT WOULD MAKE SOMEONE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE
You're a technical leader who excels at the intersection of developer experience, platform engineering, and systems design. You think in platforms and golden paths, building once and enabling dozens of teams to move faster. You have strong opinions on what makes developer tools great: invisible by default, indispensable once adopted, and measurable in the workflows engineers already use.
You have deep experience across the breadth of the developer tooling stack, CI/CD, build systems, observability infrastructure, and developer platforms, and working knowledge of LLM integration and AI agent development. You understand the nuances of internal platforms: designing for adoption, not mandate; plugging into existing workflows before standing up new ones; and earning trust through data before expanding scope.
You have exceptional judgment on when to build custom solutions versus integrate existing tools, and you're comfortable navigating a rapidly evolving landscape across both AI and developer infrastructure. You balance technical excellence with pragmatism, shipping iteratively while maintaining high quality bars. Most importantly, you lead through influence and mentorship, elevating the entire engineering organization's technical capabilities.
