We’re looking for a
Senior Android Engineer
to join our SDUI team. In this role, you’ll help us build and scale our server-driven UI (
SDUI
) platform, enabling teams to build a UI once and have it deploy seamlessly to iOS, Android, and Web without redeploying a new app — performantly and consistently. This role is based in our London office with a hybrid setup, typically three days in the office.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be joining the SDUI team. We own the Android rendering layer of our server-driven UI platform, and the backend services that drive it, ensuring every consumer surface built on it is fast, correct, and visually indistinguishable from native.
Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:
Drive technical execution
by designing, building, and evolving the Android SDUI renderer — and the backend services (Kotlin, Golang, Protobuf) that feed it — to handle complex, real-time UI updates at scale.
Lead architectural improvements
and code reviews, ensuring the maintainability, visibility, and operational health of the renderer as more teams build on top of it.
Partner with cross-functional disciplines
(iOS and Web renderer engineers, product and design teams) to plan rollouts, align on platform decisions, and influence the roadmap.
Own large-scale initiatives
from design to delivery — including the push to bring SDUI motion and interaction quality to native-equivalent, and the ongoing migration off legacy rendering systems.
Support the growth of others
by mentoring colleagues and taking an active role in our engineering hiring process.
What You’ll Need to Thrive
Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:
5+ years building Android applications at scale
, with a deep understanding of Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
Backend development experience
, specifically with Golang, Kotlin, and Protobuf, and the comfort to move between client and server code as the work demands.
Experience building or maintaining a server-driven / declarative UI system
, with a keen interest in pushing what's possible with declarative rendering — bonus points if that included Litho or another DSL-based renderer.
A product mindset
, and the instinct to apply it to how you design platform services for the teams that build on top of them.
Demonstrated ownership of technical delivery
within cross-functional teams, guiding implementation choices and technical design for a platform other teams build on.
Strong communication skills
, working across time zones with iOS, Web, and Backend counterparts, plus PMs and multiple product teams.
A pride in software craft
, with a commitment to writing readable, well-designed, and thoroughly tested mobile code.
Bonus points for exposure to Figma-to-code tooling, design-token/theming systems, or accessibility work in mobile rendering.
Why Join Us?
At Deliveroo, you’ll do work that matters — solving real problems for a platform that every consumer-facing team builds on. About the Role
Hybrid (3 days per week in the London office required)
Individual contributor role
Fraud is constantly evolving. As our business grows, so do the ways bad actors seek to exploit our products, promotions, and operations.
As the Senior Strategy & Operations Manager for Emerging Fraud & Abuse, you'll lead the discovery, investigation, and mitigation of new and evolving abuse vectors across our platform. Your mission is to identify risks before they become systemic, working across Product, Engineering, Data Science, Operations, Legal, and Policy to design scalable solutions that protect our customers, partners, and business.
This isn't a role focused on running existing fraud programmes. It's about identifying what's next.
You'll combine deep analytical thinking with strategic problem solving to uncover emerging threats, quantify business impact, influence product strategy, and build new controls that keep us ahead of increasingly sophisticated fraudsters.
If you enjoy solving ambiguous problems, following the data, and building solutions where no playbook exists, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
Identify Emerging Abuse
Proactively identify new fraud patterns, abuse trends, and vulnerabilities across our products, customer journeys, and operational processes.
Investigate anomalies, understand attacker behaviours, and translate observations into actionable mitigation strategies.
Continuously scan for evolving risks, whether driven by organised fraud, policy loopholes, technological change, or new product launches.

LOCATION AND TRAVEL
You can be based in Europe; we're mainly remote and invite you to the Berlin office 3-5 days every two months.
We expect significant travel across the Europe, with occasional travel to other regions when the audience quality justifies it. The exact cadence will change with the event calendar, but you should expect travel to be a meaningful part of the job.
WHY THIS ROLE?
Langfuse has grown mostly through product-led, open-source adoption. We built a strong product, wrote useful docs and examples, stayed close to users, shipped in public, and helped developers understand how to build better AI applications.
However, many of the highest-signal moments happen in person: hallway conversations, workshops, meetups, dinners, conference demos, and technical talks.
We want someone who can own that motion end to end; put Langfuse in the right AI engineering rooms, make the product clear to technical audiences, and turn in-person conversations into durable marketing momentum.
The goal is not to do every event. The goal is to make the right events excellent, scalable, and measurable.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Represent Langfuse at conferences, meetups, workshops, customer events, partner events, and community gatherings across Europe
- Run live demos and technical sessions on tracing, evals, prompt management, datasets, metrics, and related LLM engineering workflows.
- Build and maintain field-ready material: demo flows, workshop runbooks, talk abstracts, event landing pages, follow-up emails, signup flows, and conference-in-a-box assets.
- Organize Langfuse-hosted meetups, workshops, dinners, and smaller technical gatherings around the highest-quality audiences.
- Partner with ClickHouse field marketing, sales, solutions, product marketing, and engineering teams where it helps Langfuse show up well.
- Turn event learnings into useful artifacts: better messaging, better demos, better docs, better talks, better customer stories, and sharper product feedback.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- You have worked in DevRel, product marketing engineering, solutions engineering, field engineering, developer advocacy, or technical community roles.
- You have spoken at developer conferences, meetups, workshops, webinars, or technical customer events.
- You already create technical content, demos, videos, talks, open source projects, or educational material.
- You should be excited to travel, give talks, run demos, host events, talk to developers and technical leaders, and bring what you learn back into the company.
- You care about developer experience, open source, AI engineering, and the quality of the rooms you spend time in.
- You are comfortable with ambiguity and can independently decide what to do before there is a mature playbook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely.
A strong plus:
- You are a former engineer, or deeply technical operator who can credibly explain software to experienced developers.
- You can write code well enough to build, debug, and maintain demos or workshop material.
- You are deep in AI engineering, LLM observability, evals, agents, or developer tools.
- You have original opinions that experienced developers value.

WHY BACKEND ENGINEERING AT LANGFUSE
Your work will have an outsized impact.
Langfuse ingests terabytes of AI tracing data per day. When a Fortune 50 company instruments their application with Langfuse, they hit the infrastructure you built. Everything you ship is open source and immediately visible.
The core of your role is making Langfuse fast and affordable at scale: owning the ingestion pipeline, optimizing ClickHouse data models and queries so dashboards load instantly, and building the backend abstractions that let product engineers ship data-heavy features without reinventing the plumbing each time.
You will also make sure Langfuse runs everywhere. You’ll operate Langfuse Cloud across multiple production environments, and make self-hosting effortless. You will support a single Docker Compose setup to enterprise-grade Helm chart deployment.
You won’t be solving these problems alone. Langfuse is now part of ClickHouse, which means the people who built the database you’re optimizing are one channel away. Few backend roles give you that kind of access to the internals of your core datastore.
YOU WILL GROW AT LANGFUSE BY
- Own and optimize our ingestion pipeline: Langfuse ingests massive volumes of tracing data through a pipeline that flows from our API to ClickHouse. You'll work on throughput, latency, reliability, and cost efficiency at every stage of this pipeline.
- Make ClickHouse fast: our tracing data lives in ClickHouse. You'll design schemas, optimize merge strategies, tune batch inserts, write and review analytical queries that power dashboards and the UI. You'll become an expert on ClickHouse internals — and you'll have the ClickHouse database engineering team one channel away.
- Build new infrastructure-heavy features: things like LLM-as-a-Judge (where we post-process large volumes of ingested data asynchronously), alerting at scale, client-code execution, or batch dataset operations. Build the foundation and, if you like, dip your toes into the frontend for those.
- Test with real data in production: when evaluating a new ClickHouse schema, migration, or query optimization, you'll run load tests against production data to validate that changes actually improve things. We don't guess at performance. We prototype new table designs, run them in parallel on real traffic, and compare before committing.
- Scale for what's next: we're growing fast and new product directions like complex long-running agent observability and real-time evaluation push the infrastructure in new ways. You'll be thinking ahead about what breaks at 10x scale.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Strong backend engineer who gets excited about database internals, query optimization, and distributed systems
- You get excited when working with a ton of data
- Experience with analytical databases, data pipelines, or high-throughput event processing. ClickHouse experience is a big plus but not required
- You organize yourself. You have strong opinions about what to build and how to ship it
- Comfortable reading and writing TypeScript (our backend) and SQL
- Interest in open source software and genuine enjoyment talking to users about their scaling challenges
- Thrives in a small, accountable team where your output is visible and matters
- CS or quantitative degree preferred
Bonus points:
- Experience with ClickHouse, other OLAP databases, or observability infrastructure
- Former founder
- Background in building data-intensive systems at scale
