Strong network within the brokerage, fintech, affiliate, trading, iGaming, payments, or related industries
An existing network of potential partners, brokers, affiliates, industry contacts, or relevant businesses in Thailand or across Asia will be a major advantage
We offer
Full-time remote role with long-term collaboration (service provider contract)
Competitive compensation and performance-based bonuses (paid in EUR or USD directly to your bank account)

Smartling is an AI-native translation platform that's redefining how the world's biggest brands go global - ranked #3 on Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies list. We're growing rapidly at scale and are backed by Battery Ventures, a global technology-focused investment firm. While most companies are still figuring out how to use AI, we've spent years building it into the core of our platform - and we're just getting started.
As a Senior Localization Operations Specialist on Smartling's Managed Services team, you'll own complex, larger-scale customer accounts and serve as an operational advisor to both clients and junior team members. This role blends hands-on execution with strategic thinking - you'll optimize workflows, lead escalation resolution, and help clients mature their localization programs, all while mentoring the next generation of Loc Ops Specialists. We are looking for a hire based on the US East Coast at this time.
You Will
Own complex or high-volume customer accounts end-to-end - from process design through delivery and retrospective.
Design and optimize localization processes to improve efficiency, scalability, and quality across diverse client accounts and operational environments.
Lead escalation resolution with minimal oversight, driving issues to closure while maintaining clear, proactive communication with clients throughout the resolution process.
Partner with customers and cross-functional teams to improve localization processes and support the scaling of their programs effectively.
Proactively identify operational risks - including volume spikes and tooling gaps - and mitigate them before they impact delivery or quality.
Mentor junior Localization Coordinators and Operations Specialists on process design, platform usage, and execution best practices.
You Have
3-5 years of experience in localization project management or operations, including ownership of complex accounts.
Deep hands-on experience with Smartling or comparable enterprise translation management systems (TMS).
Demonstrated ability to design, optimize, and govern localization processes at scale across complex, multi-account environments.
Strong track record of managing escalations and navigating challenging customer conversations, providing advisory support, education, and guidance to drive successful resolution.
Experience mentoring or coaching junior Localization Coordinators and Operations Specialists, with the ability to clearly explain complex concepts and provide effective training in a localization or operations context.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience engaging senior client stakeholders.
Solid understanding of localization industry trends, AI-enabled tooling, translation memory (TM) strategy, and localization frameworks.
Preferred but not required
Working knowledge of file engineering fundamentals, scripting languages, and localization engineering concepts, including file formats, encoding standards, and placeholder/tag management.
Experience supporting global, enterprise-tier clients with complex, multi-stream localization programs.
Fluency or working proficiency in a second language
You Are
Strategic.
You think beyond immediate deliverables, considering how today’s decisions impact the client’s localization program at scale.
Resilient.
Escalations and ambiguity don’t destabilize your approach; you stay grounded and focus on driving resolution.
Influential.
You build trust across internal and external stakeholders through expertise, consistency, and dependable follow-through.
Analytical.
You leverage available data, tools, and AI insights to identify trends and inform clear, actionable recommendations.
Mentorship-Minded.
You actively invest time in developing less experienced team members, helping them build skills and grow their capabilities.
You Will Enjoy

We take play seriously. We’re looking for curious adventurers ready to find their party, fueled by imagination and drive to build what’s never been built before. At Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast, you’ll collaborate with passionate teams to reimagine our iconic brands and create experiences that spark joy, connection, and community through the magic of play. This is your chance to shape legendary play that lasts a lifetime.
Purpose of Role
As Finance Director – APAC, you will serve as the senior finance leader and strategic co-pilot to Hasbro's APAC Commercial Leadership Team. This is a broad, high-impact role that combines Sales Finance (commercial business partnering, pricing, customer P&Ls, and investment strategy) with Regional Finance (A&P and overhead stewardship, planning and consolidation) across the region.
This is a key leadership role in Hasbro's International Commercial Markets. You will own the full finance agenda for APAC — from commercial deal-making and channel strategy through to regional planning, cost discipline, and consolidated reporting — giving you end-to-end visibility and influence over the region's financial performance.
This role is built for a bold, energetic leader who combines sharp financial acumen with commercial instincts, thrives in ambiguity and change, and is ready to build and lead a high-performing, multi-market team. Driving the region to sustainable profitability is the #1 challenge — and this role is central to achieving that.
What You'll Do:
Commercial Strategy & Decision Support (Sales Finance)
• Partner with the APAC Commercial Leadership Team to drive business performance across key markets, channels, and franchises.
• Lead pricing strategy, channel investment, profitability analysis, and customer P&L decisions.
• Act as a strategic architect — identify revenue growth opportunities and unlock margin through smart trade-offs.
Investment Planning & Regional Finance
• Partner with the Regional Head of Marketing and Head of Customer Marketing to align investment and promotional strategy.
• Lead line plan pricing recommendations across the region, supporting commercial market decision-making.
• Drive disciplined oversight of A&P and overheads across APAC.
• Lead the regional planning rhythm: weekly sales tracking, monthly business reviews, and financial performance reporting.
• Manage in-year performance processes, ensuring accurate, timely visibility of risks, opportunities, and sufficiency.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes across the region.
• Own regional consolidation, ensuring accurate roll-up of market-level results into the APAC view and clean handoff to Corporate Finance.
Leadership & Team Building
• Lead a combined Sales Finance and Regional Finance organization of 11 across Singapore, Hong Kong, China, India, and Australia, through 4 direct reports: Senior Finance Manager – Regional Finance, Senior Finance Manager – Sales Finance (Asia Markets), Finance Manager – Sales Finance (PAC & GEM), and a Finance Analyst – PAC & GEM who reports directly to the FD rather than through the PAC & GEM Finance Manager, by design.
• Build a culture of accountability, insight, and ownership — finance as co-pilot, not just scorekeeper.
• Actively coach and stretch team members; foster internal mobility and talent succession across a geographically dispersed team.
Strategic Alignment
• Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Global Franchise Teams, and Supply Chain to ensure strategic alignment.
• Bring best-practice commercial and regional finance discipline into APAC, drawing on global standards.
Reporting & Analytics
• Deliver impactful financial dashboards and management reporting to drive decision-making.
• Collaborate with BI and systems teams to modernize tools and enhance forecast accuracy.
Financial Stewardship
• Drive compliance with financial policies and controls in partnership with Controllership and Corporate Finance.
• Protect the integrity of the financials while accelerating business momentum.
What We Are Looking For:
• 10–12+ years in Finance with a strong track record spanning Commercial Finance, FP&A, and business partnering.
• Experience in CPG, retail, consumer tech, or fast-paced, brand-led industries.
• Clear success leading high-performing, multi-market finance teams.
• Deep knowledge of financial planning, pricing, customer P&Ls, A&P/overhead management, and consolidation.
• Strategic thinker who can zoom out and also dive into the detail.
• Exceptional communication and influencing skills at Senior Leadership level.
• Strong Excel and systems skills; experience with SAP, Power BI, or similar tools a plus.
• Energy. Edge. Integrity. A growth mindset.
Employees may be eligible for annual and long-term incentives as part of their overall compensation package, depending on role, location, and eligibility. Benefits and programs may include:

Time Off to Recharge
Financial Well-being
Life & Family Support
