We work with ambitious consumer brands across health, wellness, beauty, nutrition, personal care, and lifestyle.
The Opportunity
As Advantage HQ continues to scale, data and analytics are becoming increasingly important to how we operate, make decisions, and drive growth.
We need a leader who can turn complex data into clear insights, build reliable analytics infrastructure, and establish the measurement systems that help our teams understand what is working, what is not, and where to focus next.
The Director of Data & Analytics will lead our data strategy, analytics function, and measurement infrastructure across the business. You will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to improve visibility into performance, strengthen decision-making, and ensure our data capabilities scale alongside the organization.
This role goes beyond reporting. You will build the systems, standards, and analytical capabilities that connect data to business outcomes.
What You'll Own
Build the data and analytics foundation
You will establish the data infrastructure, reporting standards, and analytical frameworks needed to support a growing, multi-channel organization.
You will improve data quality, consistency, accessibility, and reliability while ensuring teams can trust the information they use to make decisions.
Drive business and performance insights
You will translate complex datasets into actionable insights that support business strategy, client outcomes, media performance, creator partnerships, and operational efficiency.
You will identify trends, uncover opportunities, investigate performance gaps, and help leadership understand the factors driving growth and profitability.
Develop measurement and attribution capabilities
You will strengthen how we measure performance across paid media, creative, creator partnerships, affiliate distribution, and customer acquisition.
You will improve reporting and measurement frameworks to help teams understand channel effectiveness, creative performance, customer acquisition costs, return on ad spend, and other key business metrics.
Build scalable analytics systems
You will identify gaps in existing reporting and analytics workflows and develop solutions that reduce manual work, improve visibility, and support faster decision-making.
You will partner with engineering and technology teams to improve data pipelines, dashboards, automation, and integrations across our systems.
Lead and develop the analytics team
You will lead, mentor, and develop data analysts, analytics engineers, and other relevant team members.
You will establish clear expectations, analytical standards, and accountability while building a team that delivers reliable insights and meaningful business impact.
Partner with cross-functional leadership
You will work closely with media, creative, creator partnerships, finance, operations, and executive leadership to align analytics priorities with business objectives.
You will help teams move beyond descriptive reporting toward better forecasting, experimentation, performance optimization, and data-informed decision-making.
Establish a data-driven operating culture
You will build processes that make data a consistent part of how the organization operates.
You will promote clear KPI definitions, reliable reporting, analytical rigor, and a shared understanding of performance across teams.
Who You Are
You are an experienced data and analytics leader who understands both the technical foundations of data and its practical application to business decisions.
You know how to build scalable analytics capabilities, develop strong teams, and translate complex information into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders.
You are comfortable working in a fast-growing environment where systems and processes need to evolve quickly. You can balance strategic leadership with hands-on problem-solving when needed.
You care about data accuracy, but you also understand that the ultimate value of analytics comes from improving decisions, performance, and business outcomes.
Experience We Value
8+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data engineering, performance analytics, or a related field, including leadership experience.
Experience building or scaling a data and analytics function.
Strong SQL skills and experience working with modern data warehouses and analytics infrastructure.
Experience with BI and visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
Experience designing dashboards, KPI frameworks, reporting systems, and performance measurement processes.
Strong understanding of marketing analytics, paid media measurement, attribution, customer acquisition, and e-commerce performance.
Experience working with large, complex datasets from multiple platforms and business systems.
Familiarity with data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and data quality management.
Experience managing, mentoring, and developing analytics professionals.
Strong business judgment and the ability to communicate analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders.

The Opportunity
Advantage HQ is looking for a Senior Media Buyer who can take ownership of growth across a portfolio of e-commerce clients.
This is a strategic, client-facing role. You will be responsible for understanding each client's business, developing the paid media strategy, identifying growth opportunities, and working with Media Analysts, Creative Strategists, and other internal teams to turn that strategy into measurable results.
You will be expected to think beyond campaign metrics. The strongest Senior Media Buyers understand how media connects to the broader customer journey, creative, offers, funnel performance, and business economics.
You will have significant ownership over your clients and will be expected to bring recommendations, challenge assumptions, and identify opportunities before the client has to ask.
What You'll Own
Own the paid media strategy
You will develop and lead paid media strategies across platforms such as Meta, Google, TikTok, Snapchat, and other relevant channels.
You will determine where to allocate budget, how to structure campaigns, which audiences and creative angles to prioritize, and where additional investment can create profitable growth.
You will balance short-term performance with the longer-term goal of building a scalable acquisition engine.
Drive account performance
You will work closely with Media Analysts to monitor performance, identify trends, diagnose problems, and make decisions that improve efficiency and growth.
You will be accountable for understanding the reasons behind performance changes, not simply reporting what happened.
You will know when to scale, when to test, when to pull back, and when the problem sits outside the media account itself.
Think beyond the media account
You will analyze the broader customer journey and identify opportunities across the funnel.
This may include landing pages, conversion rates, offers, pricing, checkout experience, creative, customer retention, and post-purchase behavior.
You will work with cross-functional teams to turn these insights into practical recommendations for clients.
Lead testing and experimentation
You will develop a structured testing roadmap across audiences, creative, offers, messaging, campaign structures, and other growth levers.
You will evaluate test results based on business impact and use those learnings to inform future strategy.
You will avoid testing for the sake of activity and focus on experiments that can meaningfully improve performance.
Partner with Creative
You will work closely with Creative Strategists to identify creative opportunities based on media performance, customer behavior, and market insights.
You will help translate performance data into clear creative briefs and recommendations and use creative performance to inform future media strategy.
Own client relationships
You will serve as a strategic partner to your clients, building relationships based on trust, expertise, and results.
You will lead strategic conversations, present performance insights, explain recommendations clearly, and help clients understand the decisions behind the strategy.
You will be comfortable challenging a client's assumptions when the data supports a different direction.
Identify growth opportunities
You will continuously look for opportunities to increase client growth and account value.
This could include new channels, new audiences, new offers, creative opportunities, funnel improvements, or changes to the broader acquisition strategy.
You are expected to bring ideas to the table rather than waiting for direction.
Who You Are
You are an experienced performance marketer who understands e-commerce from the perspective of both media and business growth.
You can look at an account and understand not only what the numbers are saying, but what they mean and what should happen next.
You are strategic enough to lead client conversations but hands-on enough to understand campaign mechanics and challenge the details when necessary.
You are commercially minded. You understand that a strong media account is not defined by a good CTR or low CPA alone. You care about profitable growth, customer economics, conversion, retention, and the client's broader business objectives.
You are comfortable working with ambiguity and taking ownership of your accounts. You do not wait for someone else to identify the next opportunity.
You use data, technology, and AI to improve the speed and quality of your decision-making.
Experience We Value
6+ years of experience in paid media, performance marketing, growth marketing, or a related field
Significant experience managing e-commerce clients is required
Strong hands-on experience with Meta, Google, and TikTok, with additional platform experience such as Snapchat or X being valuable
Experience managing significant advertising budgets
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute paid media strategies that drive measurable business growth
Strong understanding of funnel performance, conversion rates, customer acquisition economics, and e-commerce metrics
Experience with creative testing, offer testing, and landing page or funnel optimization
Experience working closely with Creative, Analytics, Growth, or other cross-functional teams
Strong client-facing and presentation skills
Experience creating and presenting strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Why Join Advantage HQ
You will work with ambitious consumer brands and have the opportunity to influence growth beyond the boundaries of a traditional media buying role.
You will have access to experienced media, creative, growth, and technology teams, as well as proprietary data and tools such as Meteoric AI.
You will have meaningful ownership over your clients and the opportunity to test new ideas, identify growth opportunities, and develop strategies across the broader customer acquisition system.
For the right person, this role can also provide a path into media leadership, strategy, or broader growth responsibilities.
Compensation & Location
$30,000 - $70,000 USD total annual compensation, including base salary, performance bonus, and equity.
Fully remote. We have built the infrastructure for high-performance distributed teams and trust our people to do their best work from wherever they work best.
We are open to candidates globally.
We care far more about ownership, judgment, and execution than geography.
If you're excited by owning e-commerce growth, developing high-impact media strategies, solving complex performance challenges, and becoming a strategic partner to ambitious consumer brands, we'd love to hear from you.
