About the Team
We are Quadcode, a fintech company excelling in financial brokerage activities and delivering advanced financial products to our global clientele. Our flagship product, an internal trading platform, is offered as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution to other brokers.
About the role
We’re looking for a Linux Administrator to join our Ops team — a team working at the intersection of infrastructure and software development, supporting applications built with PHP and Go.
The Ops team is responsible for keeping the infrastructure and services behind our products stable, secure and reliable in production. The team works across virtual machines, databases, CI/CD, monitoring, automation and internal platform services such as Thanos, Prometheus, Grafana, Ceph and profiling systems.
Our infrastructure supports the stable operation of a large-scale trading platform and includes 2,000+ virtual machines and 300+ physical servers, running predominantly on Ubuntu.
We work with Scrum, Agile and a data-driven approach, with two-week sprints and a strong focus on continuous improvement.
The position is full-time remote, with a flexible start time — anytime before 12:00 pm EET/EEST.
Why this role?
You won’t be focused on just maintaining servers or working with isolated infrastructure components.
You’ll be part of the team responsible for the production environment behind products used by millions of users, working directly with development teams, helping them troubleshoot infrastructure-related issues and keep their services running reliably in production.
It’s a good fit for an engineer who enjoys troubleshooting, automation and making infrastructure more reliable and scalable, rather than simply maintaining servers.
Tasks
Administer Linux servers (Ubuntu) across development and production environments.
Administer PostgreSQL databases and Greenplum clusters, including performance and reliability troubleshooting.
Administer and support KeyDB, ClickHouse and Kafka.
Configure and maintain infrastructure services such as Nginx, Jenkins, GitLab CI, DataHub, Allure and Airflow.
Automate infrastructure and operational tasks using Ansible, as well as scripting with Python, Bash and other languages.
Work with Docker and Kubernetes environments, including application deployments using Helm.
Monitor production systems, troubleshoot incidents and improve system performance and reliability.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, working with tools such as GitLab CI and Jenkins.
Work with OpenStack and AWS infrastructure.
Support development teams with infrastructure-related issues and their working environments.
Work closely with the Infrastructure team to troubleshoot issues and coordinate infrastructure changes, including new hardware provisioning.
Contribute to security practices and PCI DSS requirements.
Requirements
3+ years of hands-on experience administering Linux servers in production environments.
Strong practical knowledge of Linux internals, networking, system services and troubleshooting.
Experience administering PostgreSQL and/or Greenplum.
Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
Hands-on experience with Ansible for infrastructure automation.
Good scripting skills with Python and/or Bash.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD, particularly GitLab CI and/or Jenkins.
Experience with monitoring, logging and system profiling, particularly Prometheus and Grafana.
Fluent Russian (C2 or higher) for communication with the team.
English B1+ for technical documentation and written communication.
Nice to have
DBA experience, including hands-on administration of databases and data infrastructure.
Experience with Patroni.
Experience supporting high-load or distributed production systems.
Experience with AWS and OpenStack.
Experience with PCI DSS.
Experience reading and/or writing code in PHP/Go.
Experience with Ceph.
Experience with fintech/trading.
We offer
Full-time remote work (service provider contract).
Competitive compensation (EUR).
Flexible working hours.
Corporate AI subscriptions (Claude, Gemini, GPT, etc.).
Access to a rewards marketplace offering products and language courses, redeemable using the company’s internal currency.
A strong team of engineers.
Positive and friendly atmosphere.
With a team of 500+ creative and tech-driven people across the globe, Quadcode is the place where ideas turn into impact, where every project is a chance to grow, innovate, and make your mark.
Join us today, and let's shape the future of fintech together!

We're building one place where your knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools live side by side, so work is faster, clearer, and less fragmented. Millions of individuals, small teams, and large companies run their work on Notion.
Notinos (our employees) are customer zero in bringing this future of work to life. We care about craft, building things that last, and the belief that great work is still fundamentally human. Our goal isn’t to ship the next feature. Each and every team of Notinos is working to set the standard for how humans work together in the AI era. From building a business’s system of record to making and managing AI agents to automating away the busy work, we care deeply about giving our customers more time for their life’s work.

We’re looking for an experienced Go-To-Market (GTM) Recruiter in Tokyo to partner closely with our Japan leadership team to attract, engage, and close top talent from an array of backgrounds. In this role, you’ll help build our Japan organization in a high-ownership, high-growth environment. We will look to you to advise and consult with hiring managers and interviewers, proactively source and engage future Notinos, and design a rigorous hiring processes while ensuring a delightful candidate experience.
WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE:
- Own the Japan recruiting process for GTM roles, primarily for Solutions Consultants (direct sales) and other GTM roles.
- Operate autonomously across the end-to-end cycle, from direct sourcing and screening through close, while ensuring a thoughtful candidate experience at every step.
- Run role kick-off meetings, define profiles, and align interview plans and scorecards to drive consistent, high-quality decisions.
- Utilize internal hiring metrics and external market data to proactively propose recommendations and solutions to leaders.
- Drive our diversity and inclusion strategy forward, with a heavy emphasis on sourcing and maintaining a well-balanced and diverse top-of-funnel candidate slate.
- Build and nurture future talent pipelines for priority Japan GTM roles.
- Establish trusted partnerships with the Japan leadership team to ensure Notion hires the right talent at the right time to achieve the company’s ambitious goals.
- Ensure scalable, structured hiring plans for all roles with a strong sense of urgency and agency, while building repeatable processes and creative solutions that help the recruiting team scale for years to come.

NICE TO HAVES:
- You have owned the end-to-end hiring process at global SaaS companies.
- You have managed roles and candidates across regions outside of Japan.
- You’re a Notion power user!
A NOTE ON AI
You don’t need deep AI expertise for every role, but we do expect every Notino to be intellectually curious, drawn to tinkering and discovery, and excited to use AI as a real collaborator in their work. For some roles, AI fluency is a core requirement — when that’s the case, we'll say so explicitly in the qualifications. People who thrive here don’t treat AI as a novelty. They use it to think better, and make their work easier for others to build on.

About the role
As a Staff Backend Engineer, you will provide technical leadership across your team and adjacent teams, solving the highest-scope and most complex problems in your area. You will lead large, cross-cutting backend initiatives, drive our modular architecture strategy, and define the standards that let teams move faster without compromising quality, security, reliability, or operability.
This is a technical leadership role that combines deep backend expertise, systems judgment, product judgment, and influence across organizational boundaries. You will work with Product, Frontend, Infrastructure, Security, Data, Engineering Managers, and engineers across product groups, bringing subject matter expertise, and you will do it without relying on formal authority.
Why you’ll love this role
Leverage:
Your work multiplies across teams. The platforms, standards, and architectural decisions you lead determine how quickly everyone else can ship.
Genuinely Hard Problems:
You’ll lead the modernization of a large monolith toward modular, reusable, appropriately independent systems — at the scale of a platform used by millions of users.
Influence Without Bureaucracy:
You’ll shape technical direction across teams through clear written proposals and decision records, and partner with Product and Engineering leadership on platform roadmap and investment trade-offs.
Frontier AI Work:
You’ll lead adoption of AI-assisted and agentic engineering workflows and define the review, quality, security, and privacy guardrails that make them safe to rely on.
Autonomy:
You’ll thrive in our remote-first, asynchronous organization, where clear written communication and self-direction are the pillars of success.
What you’ll do
Lead Cross-Cutting Initiatives:
Lead the technical design and delivery of large backend initiatives that span teams, and identify and remove systemic bottlenecks across product and infrastructure groups.
Own Architecture Strategy:
Drive modular backend, service, data, and platform architecture. Lead modernization of the monolith and legacy backends toward modular, reusable, and appropriately independently operated systems — while preventing fragmentation and service sprawl.
Set the Standards:
Define and improve standards for APIs, contracts, compatibility, schema evolution, testing, security, performance, observability, operability, and maintainability — plus the build, test, deploy, release, rollback, and production-readiness practices needed to operate modular features safely.
Establish Shared Patterns:
Create the patterns for dependency management, data ownership, eventing, failure isolation, service maturity, and operational documentation. Establish Go service patterns and Kubernetes operating practices where they matter to our production estate, and guide Rust adoption where it solves a real systems, security, performance, or supply-chain problem.
Own What You Build in Production:
Take part in on-call and incident response for the systems your teams own, act as a technical escalation point during complex incidents, and turn what you learn into architectural and operational improvements that prevent recurrence.
Influence and Partner:
Shape technical direction across teams without formal authority, and partner with Product and Engineering leadership on platform-level roadmap decisions and investment trade-offs.
Grow Engineers:
Mentor Senior and Intermediate engineers, shepherd technical debt reduction and reusable patterns that improve throughput, and raise the technical capability of the wider team.
Lead AI Adoption:
Lead team-level adoption of AI-assisted and agentic workflows, including the quality, security, privacy, and operational guardrails, and help engineers direct, validate, reject, and course-correct agent output.
On-Call Support:
Take part in on-call or operational support where your team’s ownership model requires it.
What you’ll bring
Cross-Team Technical Leadership:
A sustained record of technical leadership across more than one team or a broad product area.
Deep Architecture Experience:
Deep backend architecture and production experience in complex applications, services, or platforms, including scaling or governing APIs, service platforms, data systems, modular monoliths, or shared backend components.
Modularization in Production:
Experience modernizing a monolith or legacy backend architecture in production, and with modular architecture such as bounded contexts, package encapsulation, ports and adapters, service extraction, event-driven boundaries, or an equivalent approach.
Influence Without Authority:
A strong ability to create alignment through clear written proposals and decision records, so decisions are documented, understood, and adopted without constant escalation.
Product Judgment:
The ability to balance customer outcomes, delivery speed, technical health, reliability, and long-term platform investment.
Mentorship:
Experience mentoring engineers and shaping standards through code review, documentation, and example.
Agentic AI Leadership:
Production experience with AI-assisted or agentic engineering workflows, including the ability to evaluate and improve how a team adopts them.
Helpful experience
Go services and APIs at scale.
Kubernetes and cloud-native operations, including deployment, scaling, observability, rollback, and production readiness.
Rust adoption or production ownership for systems, security, performance, or platform components.
Ruby/Rails modularization and large-monolith modernization.
PostgreSQL scaling, data partitioning, queues, messaging, or distributed systems.
Security-sensitive product or software supply chain engineering.
Experience across SaaS, single-tenant, self-managed, or air-gapped deployment constraints.

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.
