OUR HIRING PROCESS:
We will review your application against our job requirements. We do not employ machine learning technologies during this phase as we believe every human deserves attention from another human. We do not think machines can evaluate your application quite like our seasoned recruiting professionals—every person is unique. We promise to give your candidacy a fair and detailed assessment.

You will be invited to come to a live meeting or Zoom, where you will meet our INFUSE team.
From there on, it’s decision time! If you are still excited to join INFUSE and we like you as much, we will have a conversation about your offer. We do not make offers without giving you the opportunity to speak with us live.

WHO WE ARE
Notion is the collaborative AI workspace where teams and agents think together https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkpYpWfEK5s. We're building one place where your knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools live side by side, so work is faster, clearer, and less fragmented. Millions of individuals, small teams, and large companies run their work on Notion.
Notinos (our employees) are customer zero in bringing this future of work to life. We care about craft, building things that last, and the belief that great work is still fundamentally human. Our goal isn’t to ship the next feature. Each and every team of Notinos is working to set the standard for how humans work together in the AI era. From building a business’s system of record to making and managing AI agents to automating away the busy work, we care deeply about giving our customers more time for their life’s work.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Millions of people rely on Notion to do their most important work, and protecting that trust is foundational to everything we build.
We’re looking for a hands-on Detection Engineer to build and operate the systems and workflows we use to detect and respond to attacks across Notion’s cloud-native environment. You’ll ship high-signal detections, improve the platform that powers them, participate in incident response, and help shape how detection and response engineering scales at Notion.
You’ll work closely with Engineering, Corporate Security, and Infrastructure, with broad latitude to identify gaps, prioritize investments, and build what’s needed next.
We view detection and response as a software engineering discipline: detections are code, platforms are products, and measurement matters
WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE
- Build and tune high-signal detections across cloud, identity, endpoint, and SaaS environments, with review and mentorship from senior teammates as you ramp up.
- Contribute to the detection platform, including rule lifecycle management, tuning, measurement, and rollout safety.
- Build tooling and automation that speed up triage, enrichment, investigation, and detection authoring, including LLM-based workflows where useful.
- Turn threat intelligence and adversary TTPs into detections, telemetry requirements, and response improvements.
- Take part in investigations, incident response, and postmortems, and help turn what we learn into lasting fixes.
- Help define and track metrics such as coverage, MTTD, and alert quality.
- Join a shared on-call rotation for incident response.
SKILLS YOU'LL NEED TO BRING
- We're hiring across a range of experience levels. If you have some of these skills but not all, we'd still like to hear from you.
- 3+ years of experience in detection engineering, security operations, incident response, threat hunting, or a closely related security or software engineering role.
- Have written or tuned detections that run in production, and care about signal quality and cutting noise.
- Working knowledge of at least one detection or query language (Sigma, KQL, SPL, YARA-L, EQL, or Panther), or strong SQL or Python skills and the drive to learn one quickly.
- An understanding of how attackers operate (for example, MITRE ATT&CK), and the ability to use it to decide what to detect.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure, ideally including identity and access logs.
- Have used SIEM, EDR, or SOAR tools in any size of environment.
- Write clearly in runbooks, design docs, and incident notes, and can own well-scoped projects end to end.
NICE TO HAVE
- Have led purple team, blue team, or adversary emulation exercises that improved detections or telemetry.
- Experience running SIEM, EDR, or SOAR platforms at large scale.
- Experience building or maintaining detection-as-code workflows (version control, CI, and tests for detections).
- Experience applying LLMs or agent-style tooling to security workflows.
- Experience securing AI-enabled systems or endpoint tooling.
- Kubernetes or container detection experience.
- Background in threat intelligence, malware analysis, or digital forensics.
- Contributions to the security community through research, tooling, CTFs, or talks.
- Experience at a high-growth startup or AI company.

WHO WE ARE
Notion is the collaborative AI workspace where teams and agents think together https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkpYpWfEK5s.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Notion is shaping the future of Go-To-Market, and as a Solutions Consultant (SC), you’ll bring that future to life by building alongside customers and turning their biggest challenges into measurable outcomes. As a customer-facing, quota-carrying SC, you’ll bring together technical fluency and commercial ownership to grow your book of business. You’ll build pipeline with BDRs, engage key stakeholders, lead discovery, co-build workflow solutions live with customers, and guide opportunities through close. You’ll connect each solution to a clear business case and stay engaged through adoption, expansion, and renewal so customers realize the value of what they buy.
You’ll partner with BDRs, Outcomes Architects, and technical or product specialists while maintaining clear ownership of customer relationships, opportunity momentum, and next steps. If you’re a builder who loves to sell—and want to work at the intersection of AI, productivity, and enterprise—this is the role.
WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE:
- Create pipeline across your book of business. Build target-account plans with BDRs and initiate outreach to priority stakeholders to generate qualified opportunities, alongside BDR-sourced pipeline.
- Own opportunities from first conversation through close. Lead discovery, qualify business needs and urgency, align stakeholders, shape the solution and business case, and drive the evaluation and commercial decision. Navigate commercial sizing, proposal construction, procurement, legal, and security review to close deals with the right scope, credits, and implementation path.
- Design and validate workflow solutions that deliver measurable value. Map current- and future-state workflows, co-build solutions live in Notion, and define realistic scope, success criteria, and an implementation path. Translate customer needs and validated outcomes into a clear business case, commercial recommendation, and decision path. Treat discovery as an opportunity to build and validate.
- Orchestrate the right partners while maintaining ownership. Engage BDRs, Outcomes Architects, and technical or product specialists at the right moments, with clear context and asks, while owning opportunity momentum, customer communication, and next steps.
- Drive customer value and commercial growth after signature. Partner with Outcomes Architects, guide the initial path to value with a clear adoption plan, on onboarding and ongoing multi-workflow adoption, and own expansion strategy and renewal planning. Stay accountable for translating credits sold into credits consumed, and surface risks or expansion opportunities as customer workflows mature.
SKILLS YOU'LL NEED TO BRING:
- Commercial ownership and pipeline generation. You can demonstrate how you created or advanced business, influenced customer decisions, and owned measurable outcomes. Relevant experience may come from quota-carrying sales or adjacent customer-facing roles.
- Technical fluency and builder mindset. You are comfortable building live in software and can demo, co-design, and troubleshoot with a customer without needing a specialist in the room.
- AI fluency. You are excited about AI, build with new tools, and continually learn new ways of working.
- Discovery, qualification, and value articulation. You can uncover customer needs, map workflows, qualify business impact and urgency, and translate what you learn into commercial outcomes, adoption plans, and clear success criteria.
- Agency, urgency, and learning velocity. You set clear goals, take initiative, learn from customer interactions, and apply those learnings to improve outcomes. You bring new ideas and workflows to customers and make complex problems easier to solve.
- Complex customer engagement. You can lead multi-stakeholder interactions and navigate procurement, legal, and security review cycles.
NICE TO HAVES:
- Full-cycle B2B software sales experience or solutions engineering experience, with a consistent track record of exceeding quota across new-logo acquisition and expansion motions.
- Familiarity with usage-based or consumption-based pricing models and the ability to structure credit-based commercial proposals.
- Prior experience selling to commercial accounts in productivity, collaboration, or workflow software.
- Experience in a shared account ownership model, partnering with a post-sale or Customer Success team as part of an integrated customer motion.
- Fluency in Swedish or Norwegian.
We hire talented and passionate people from a variety of backgrounds because we want our global employee base to represent the wide diversity of our customers. If you're excited about a role but your past experience doesn't align perfectly with every bullet point listed in the job description, we still encourage you to apply. If you're a builder at heart, share our company values, and are enthusiastic about making software toolmaking ubiquitous, we want to hear from you.

A NOTE ON AI
You don’t need deep AI expertise for every role, but we do expect every Notino to be intellectually curious, drawn to tinkering and discovery, and excited to use AI as a real collaborator in their work. For some roles, AI fluency is a core requirement — when that’s the case, we'll say so explicitly in the qualifications. People who thrive here don’t treat AI as a novelty. They use it to think better, and make their work easier for others to build on.
