OUR HIRING PROCESS:
We will review your application against our job requirements. We do not employ machine learning technologies during this phase as we believe every human deserves attention from another human. We do not think machines can evaluate your application quite like our seasoned recruiting professionals—every person is unique. We promise to give your candidacy a fair and detailed assessment.
We may then invite you to submit a video interview for the review of the hiring manager. This video interview is often followed by a test or short project that allows us to determine whether you will be a good fit for the team.
At this point, we will invite you to interview with our hiring manager and/or the interview team. Please note: We do not conduct interviews via text message, Telegram, etc. and we never hire anyone into our organization without having met you face-to-face (or via Zoom). You will be invited to come to a live meeting or Zoom, where you will meet our INFUSE team.
From there on, it’s decision time! If you are still excited to join INFUSE and we like you as much, we will have a conversation about your offer. We do not make offers without giving you the opportunity to speak with us live.
INFUSE is committed to complying with applicable data privacy and security laws and regulations. For more information, please see our

With
more than 10 billion pulls
, Canonical's container images are trusted by developers worldwide to build and run software securely and at scale. That trust rests on our commitment to
hardened, production-ready
images.
We are advancing the state of the art with a
new generation of Ubuntu-based container images
we call "rocks": minimal images engineered for performance and usability and backed by long-term security commitments. As a member of the team, you will own the path from upstream source to published image, turning open source software into tested, signed, and continuously maintained artifacts that developers can deploy with confidence.
This is fast-paced, multi-disciplinary software engineering. Because most of the software we package originates from third-party upstreams, you will work across a broad range of container technologies and hundreds of open source projects, often in several programming languages, integrating and maintaining them so they are easy to consume on Ubuntu. Automation is central to the role: you will build the pipelines that package, build, test, and publish images at scale.
Your seniority in this role will reflect your software engineering experience and your ability to mentor and guide more junior colleagues.

Work closely with the community and partners to share container expertise and keep our portfolio current with new features, patches, and applications
Collaborate with our product security, platform, infrastructure, and customer-facing teams
Contribute technical input to the team's decision-making
Set the standard for quality, defining image standards that span security, compatibility, performance, size, and developer experience
Grow our knowledge base and write about the work we do
Work in a collaborative, agile, and globally distributed environment
Mentor colleagues and contribute to hiring
Work from home with global travel of up to 15% for internal and external events
What we are looking for in you
Proficiency in Bash and Python
Experience working with CI/CD systems (e.g. GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
Experience building container images
Command of at least one container management or orchestration tool (e.g. Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes)
Hands-on experience with Linux systems, package management, build systems, release engineering, or artifact pipelines
Clear communication and end-to-end ownership, spanning design, review, documentation, operation, and cross-team collaboration
A commitment to sharing knowledge and helping those around you grow
A genuine appetite for learning and for working outside your comfort zone
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, a STEM field, or a similar discipline
An exceptional academic track record from both high school and university
Business level written and spoken English.
Sincere personal motivation aligned with our mission.
International travel 2-4 times a year for company events up to two weeks long.
0-7 years relevant experience.
In addition we expect that you will match our values, by being:
Precise, taking care to deliver correctness and clarity.
Reliable, delivering high quality work that builds trust and confidence.
Accessible, collaborating to build products and systems that are usable.
Adroit, blending enthusiasm, knowledge, adaptability, style and character.
Nice-to-have skills
A security-oriented maintenance mindset: you can investigate dependency and vulnerability findings, assess their impact, and deliver a safe fix
An understanding of software supply chain security, with some experience generating and consuming artifacts such as SBOMs, signatures, provenance, or CVE reports
Familiarity with GitOps principles and workflows
Familiarity with additional languages such as Go or Rust
Hands-on experience building minimal and distroless container images
Knowledge of the OCI specifications
Familiarity with security or compliance frameworks such as CIS, NIST, FedRAMP, or DISA STIG
Evidence of contributions to open source projects
A passion for embedding security across all stages of the engineering lifecycle (DevSecOps), and an interest in using AI or agentic development responsibly and safely
Relevant Linux, container, or cloud-native certifications (such as CKS or DCA) are welcome
If your experience is close but does not match every requirement, we encourage you to apply. We value transferable experience from Linux packaging, release engineering, build systems, platform engineering, and open-source maintenance.

About the role
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will design, implement, and evolve product capabilities while solving high-scope backend problems and influencing the technical and product direction of our teams. You will move beyond "assigned work" to actively improve the quality, reliability, and performance of our systems. You will work across product, frontend, infrastructure, data, and security boundaries, making sound architectural trade-offs, communicating complex ideas clearly in an asynchronous environment, and helping define the standards for a high-scale, global product.
Why you’ll love this role
High Impact:
You aren't just shipping features; you are shaping the architecture of a global platform used by millions.
Technical Agency:
You will influence team objectives, technical direction, and long-range goals, helping us solve problems of high scope and complexity.
Innovative Culture:
You will get to experiment with and integrate agentic AI into production engineering workflows, moving beyond simple prompt engineering to build resilient, AI-assisted systems.
Autonomy:
You will thrive in our remote-first, asynchronous organization, where clear written communication and self-direction are the pillars of success.
User-Centric Collaboration:
You’ll partner closely with PMs and designers to shape requirements, ensuring every technical decision delivers genuine value to our users.
What you’ll do
Drive Technical Direction:
Design and ship moderate to complex backend features with minimal guidance, making pragmatic choices between modular-monolith code, shared components, or independently operated services.
Raise the Bar:
Advocate for product quality, security, availability, and performance. You will define backend standards for style, maintainability, testing, APIs, and operational readiness.
Mentor & Lead:
Mentor associate and intermediate engineers, remove technical blockers, and improve team delivery practices through code and design reviews.
Operational Excellence:
Diagnose and prevent performance/reliability issues at scale. Participate in incident response and act as a technical owner where appropriate.
AI Integration:
Use AI in production engineering work to improve outcomes, evaluate its effectiveness, and coach others on responsible, high-judgment use.
What you’ll bring
Deep Backend Expertise:
A strong command of backend architecture, APIs, data systems, and performance tuning in a complex product or service environment.
Adaptability:
Proficiency in modern backend languages and a deep understanding of systems programming. We value the ability to learn and adapt over mastery of a single language.
Architectural Judgment:
Experience designing or evolving modular backend boundaries, bounded contexts, and migration-safe architectures.
Influence:
Ability to lead through influence, technical judgment, and clear written communication, effectively bridging the gap between product needs and technical reality.
Agentic AI Expertise:
Proven experience building or operating agentic systems in production—moving beyond prompt engineering to architecting loops, tool-use, and error-handling strategies that ensure reliability at scale.
Helpful experience
Experience with high-throughput distributed systems, concurrency, or profiling.
Hands-on experience with containerized production operations (e.g., Kubernetes).
Deep database performance knowledge (e.g., PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, schema evolution, partitioning).
Background in large-scale modular monoliths or event-driven systems.
Public technical communication, open-source maintenance, or experience in developer-focused SaaS.

ABOUT AVOCA
Avoca is transforming how home service companies engage with their customers. Our AI-powered conversational agents handle every high-value inbound call, from booking jobs, qualifying leads, and driving higher revenue, all at a speed and consistency unmatched by human call centers.
We're a Series B startup backed by Kleiner Perkins, Meritech Capital, General Catalyst, and other top-tier investors, with $125M raised and a $1B valuation. We grew 10x in 2025 and have scaled to 170+ employees in under two years across our NYC headquarters and Santa Barbara office.
In a $1T+ market where 85% of missed calls go to competitors, we're building the category-defining platform for AI-driven customer engagement, serving the largest brands in home services. With high-energy, in-office teams in both locations, every hire here has an immediate and visible impact.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're hiring a Channel Partner Manager to build one of Avoca's most important revenue engines: partnerships with the HVAC manufacturers, OEMs, and distributors that sit upstream of every contractor. Avoca has established itself as the leading brand and AI partner in the home services industry through partnerships across several channels, and this role owns distribution through the OEM and supplier layer. These partnerships put Avoca in front of thousands of home services operators at once, with the credibility of brands they already know and trust.
You'll own a revenue goal and a portfolio of these relationships, from OEMs like Trane, Daikin, and Carrier to their distribution networks. You'll take partnerships end to end: finding the opportunity, structuring the relationship, and turning it into repeatable pipeline and revenue. This is a small, fast-moving team, so you'll wear many hats and help build the playbook as much as run it.
You'll report directly to the Head of Partnerships and work closely with leadership on our highest-priority partner initiatives.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own a portfolio of partner relationships end to end, from first conversation to signed partnership to revenue
- Build partnerships across HVAC manufacturers, OEMs, distributors, and their territory managers, including the co-op programs that fund and shape how these partnerships work
- Structure partnerships that create real distribution: co-marketing, referral motions, preferred-vendor positioning, joint events, and go-to-market
- Turn relationships into measurable partner-sourced pipeline and ARR, and own those numbers
- Represent Avoca with partners and at industry events, with travel as needed, heavier during conference season
- Work closely with Sales, RevOps, and Marketing to convert partner introductions into closed business
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Direct experience in the home services industry building channel partnerships with HVAC manufacturers and distributors like Trane, Daikin, Carrier, or Ferguson
- Existing relationships you can activate quickly, with manufacturer channel leaders and distributor territory managers, plus an understanding of how co-op works
- Experience with channel, co-marketing, or partner-sourced revenue motions
- 4+ years of professional experience, with 6 to 10 years the ideal range
- A track record of building and closing partnerships or commercial relationships, not just managing existing ones
- Strong commercial instinct and clear communication with both field operators and executives
- High agency and pace: you build the playbook and move at the speed of a high-growth startup, not a legacy player
WHO YOU ARE
- You know the home services world well enough to bring a point of view and a network with you, not build both from scratch
- You're a relationship builder who's equally comfortable in the field and in a boardroom
- You think in systems: you can look at a fragmented landscape and quickly see where the leverage is
- You want to own a book of partnerships, carry a number, and shape what this function becomes
BENEFITS
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance
- Company-sponsored 401(k) through Vestwell
- Flexible PTO plus U.S. federal holidays
- Company-wide off-sites
- Monthly wellness stipend
- Daily in-office lunch through Parkday
- Dinner covered when working late
- Commuter benefits and late-night rideshare
- Standing desks and workspace accommodations available on request
- All core tools and software provided
Compensation: The expected base salary for this role is $160,000-$220,000 with final compensation based on experience, skills, and qualifications determined during the interview process. Avoca's total compensation package includes base salary, bonus, equity, and a comprehensive suite of benefits and perks. Our Recruiting team will share the full details as you progress through our hiring process.

We build the foundation for agent engineering in the real world, helping developers move from prototypes to production-ready AI agents that teams can rely on. We began as widely adopted open-source tools and have grown to also offer a platform for building, evaluating, deploying, and operating agents at scale.
With $125M raised at Series B from IVP, Sequoia, Benchmark, CapitalG, and Sapphire Ventures, we’re at a stage where we’re continuing to develop new products, growth is accelerating, and all team members have meaningful impact on what we build and how we work together. LangChain is a place where your contributions can shape how this technology shows up in the real world.
Today, our platform includes LangSmith (Observability, Evaluation, Deployment, Fleet, and Sandboxes), our open source frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, and Deep Agents), and the newly launched LangSmith Engine for autonomous agent improvement. We have 100M+ monthly open source downloads, 6,000+ active LangSmith customers, and 5 of the Fortune 10 use LangSmith in production (+ 35% of the Fortune 500 overall), including teams at Klarna, Clay, Coinbase, Workday, Lyft, Cloudflare, Harvey, Rippling, Vanta, LinkedIn, Monday.com, Nvidia, and Bridgewater.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Cloud providers and Systems Integrators help LangChain reach customers that our direct sales and customer engineering teams can't reach on their own. This role is the technical foundation behind that ecosystem.
You'll build the reference architectures, integration patterns, and enablement programs that make partner motions work technically: co-sell with cloud hyperscalers, and independent delivery capability at systems integrators and global systems integrators (GSIs). You build with and for a partner, whose technical team then takes what you built to dozens of their own clients.
About the role
AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure help LangChain reach customers that our direct sales and customer engineering teams can't reach on their own. This role is the technical foundation behind those cloud alliances.
You'll build the reference architectures, integration patterns, and co-sell assets that make our cloud motions work technically. That covers marketplace listings and private offers, joint solutions with cloud field teams, and technical wins on named accounts. You build with and for each cloud provider, and their partner and field teams then take what you built to many of their own customers. When a cloud deal involves a services partner, you make sure that partner can deliver on LangChain.
Key responsibilities
Cloud partner engineering (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Own the technical relationship with partner and field teams at AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure
- Build reference architectures and integration patterns for running LangChain, LangGraph, DeepAgents and LangSmith on each cloud, including integrations with each provider's native AI and data services (for example Amazon Bedrock, Gemini Enterprise, AzureAI)
- Support the technical side of co-sell: joint solution briefs, deployment guides, and validated architectures that cloud sellers can bring to their customers
- Partner with cloud account teams on solutioning for named accounts, from discovery through technical win
- Keep our marketplace listings, deployment options, and co-sell technical assets current as the product evolves
- Enable cloud field and partner teams through workshops, demos, and technical briefings so they can position LangChain without pulling in our engineers for every deal
- Build and maintain joint technical plans with each cloud provider, turning shared account and industry priorities into a concrete set of reference assets
Marketplace motions with services partners
- Support systems integrators and resellers when they're part of a cloud deal, such as marketplace private offers transacted through a channel partner or joint deployments on a customer's cloud
- Give those partners the technical assets they need to scope and deliver LangChain on AWS, GCP, or Azure, using existing reference architectures and implementation guides rather than a standalone enablement program
Partner technical evangelism and feedback
- Serve as a technical escalation point for complex deployments sourced through cloud partners
- Represent LangChain at cloud provider events, summits, and joint webinars
- Gather feedback from cloud partners and the field, and route it back to product and engineering
What we're looking for
7+ years of experience in a technical, partner-facing or customer-facing role such as Partner Engineer, Partner Solutions Architect, Solutions Architect, or Sales Engineer. Experience at or alongside a hyperscaler is a strong plus. We also like former founders and technical leaders, so if you have an unusual background but the right skill set, you're welcome to apply.
Cloud and partner experience
- Track record of working with AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure partner and field teams to drive co-sell, from joint solution design through technical win
- Familiarity with cloud marketplace mechanics such as listings, private offers, and channel partner offers, and with hyperscaler co-sell programs
- Experience enabling a partner's field or technical teams so they can position and deploy a product without depending on you for every deal
- Comfortable working across engineering, partnerships, and sales at the same time
- Strong presentation and technical communication skills, able to translate between technical and business stakeholders, including C-suite executives
Agent engineering and development
- Hands-on experience building with LLM frameworks such as langchain, langgraph, or similar, including RAG patterns and agent architecture
- Experience designing evaluation frameworks and iterating on prompts and agent behavior based on results
- Strong Python skills
Cloud architecture and integration
- Deep working knowledge of at least one of AWS, GCP, or Azure, and familiarity with the other two. Strong background in GCP or Azure preferred.
- Hands-on experience with cloud AI platforms and managed model services
- Experience designing integrations, sample repositories, or reference architectures that other teams can pick up and reuse
- Familiarity with vector stores, tool integration, and API design in agentic systems
Key attributes
- You build credibility with a cloud provider's technical and field teams and act as their trusted advisor on LangChain
- Building and evangelizing are both part of the job. You're equally comfortable writing an integration and presenting it at a cloud summit
- You build assets that scale. A reference architecture should work across every cloud account team, not only the one in front of you
- You're comfortable with variety. AWS, GCP, and Azure each have their own programs, sellers, and ways of working, and switching between them doesn't throw you off
