1Password is growing. We’ve surpassed $500M in ARR and we’re continuing to accelerate, earning a spot on the Forbes Cloud 100 for four years in a row and teaming up with iconic partners like Oracle Red Bull Racing.
About 1Password
At 1Password, we’re building the foundation for a safe, productive digital future. Our mission is to unleash employee productivity without compromising security by ensuring every identity is authentic, every application sign-in is secure, and every device is trusted. We innovated the market-leading enterprise password manager and pioneered Unified Access Management, a new cybersecurity category built for the way people and AI agents work today. As one of the most loved brands in cybersecurity, we take a human-centric approach in everything from product strategy to user experience. Over 180,000 businesses, from Fortune 100 leaders to the world’s most innovative AI companies, trust 1Password to help their teams securely adopt the SaaS and AI tools they need to do their best work.
If you're excited about the opportunity to contribute to the digital safety of millions, to work alongside a team of curious, driven individuals, and to solve hard problems in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, then we want to hear from you. Come join us and help shape a safer, simpler digital future.
As part of 1Password’s Performance & Paid Media team, you’ll help grow our Product-Led Growth (PLG) and Self-Serve business across Business-to-Business (B2B) and Business-to-Consumer (B2C) audiences. You’ll manage paid marketing programs across the funnel, turn performance data into clear decisions, and help build efficient ways of working—including through artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled workflows. Your work will help more people discover and adopt 1Password as we build a safe, simpler digital future for everyone. Reporting to the Director, Performance & Paid Media, this role is remote in the United States and Canada.
How we’re using AI today
On the Marketing team, we’re growing our AI capability together and redesigning how work gets done. We’ve built agents to improve workflows focused on competitive intelligence, content creation, and campaign planning, helping us stay sharp, reduce context-switching, and surface the right information at the right time. AI helps us coordinate, execute, and uncover insights faster so we can spend more time on what’s most important: performance, judgement, and driving the future of 1Password.
This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.
What we're looking for:
• 5+ years of experience in performance marketing, growth marketing, or user acquisition, ideally supporting PLG or Self-Serve business models.
• Hands-on experience managing paid marketing channels such as paid social, affiliates, display, programmatic, app-focused, influencer, or other emerging channels.
• Ability to use advertising platform data and marketing analytics to evaluate performance, make decisions, and improve campaigns when attribution data is incomplete.
• Experience connecting marketing activity to outcomes such as signups, trial starts, activation, paid conversion, customer acquisition cost (CAC), retention, or revenue.
• Strong cross-functional communication skills and the ability to collaborate with Growth, Product Marketing, Analytics, creative partners, and other stakeholders.
• Experience supporting B2C or prosumer audiences, SaaS products, or self-serve customer journeys, along with familiarity with lifetime value (LTV) and CAC analysis.
• Experience using AI-enabled tools or automated workflows to improve campaign execution, reporting, analysis, or decision-making.
What you can expect:
• Contribute to the PLG and Self-Serve performance marketing strategy across B2B and B2C audiences.
• Manage assigned paid channels and programs from awareness through conversion, including planning, execution, optimization, and reporting.
• Launch and optimize campaigns, evaluate channel performance, and identify opportunities across audiences, messaging, creative, and funnel stages.
• Build productive vendor relationships, manage account partnerships, and negotiate for stronger performance and value.
• Monitor leading indicators such as clicks, signups, trial starts, activation, and cost per acquisition, as well as outcomes including paid conversions, subscription volume, revenue, and retention.
• Design, run, and document experiments across channels, audiences, creative, offers, pricing pages, and other parts of the customer journey.
• Use AI agents and automated workflows to improve execution speed, reporting efficiency, and the quality of performance insights.
• Collaborate with campaign managers, Product Marketing, Growth, Analytics, and other partners to share learnings and make informed recommendations.

Experience building and operating complex software systems at scale, with the technical judgment to guide decisions across the stack and learn unfamiliar systems
Experience leading complex initiatives across engineering teams and cross-functional partners, earning trust beyond your reporting line, resolving competing priorities, and delivering shared business goals
Sound judgment about reliability, security, and sustainable operations, with clear communication and respect for engineers’ technical ownership
While it’s not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:
Experience building shared reliability platforms, observability or distributed tracing systems, or tooling that reduces toil across multiple engineering teams
Familiarity with traffic management, service discovery or service meshes, container orchestration, infrastructure as code, or capacity and performance engineering
Experience improving incident response processes and reducing on-call burden
At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. We believe in hiring smart, curious people who are excited to learn and develop their skills. If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the points outlined in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.

ABOUT THE TEAM
The Mural Compose team is ambitious and fast-moving. We are passionate builders who love to experiment and iterate. Our project is seeking to leverage the latest technology in AI to acquire new customers and expand our revenue base as broadly as possible. This team is at the front of our product strategy and future growth.
YOUR MISSION
You'll lead the team behind one of Mural's most important bets. In the near term, you'll take our AI native product from early access to a product that customers rely on every day, raising quality, reliability, and speed as more users come on board.
Expect a very hands-on role. You'll review PRs, set the technical standards the team builds to, and stay close to the code and architecture decisions. You'll also keep the team's pace high and sustainable while building a high-performing team in a remote-first way.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead, hire, and grow a team of full-stack engineers through regular 1:1s, clear expectations, coaching, and performance management.
- Own delivery end to end with a fast, experimental loop: ship early to real users, measure what works, and iterate quickly without losing reliability.
- Partner with Product and Design as co-owners of the Compose roadmap, using customer feedback and usage data to decide what to build, cut, or double down on.
- Raise engineering craft across testing, observability, and AI-assisted development, and model Mural's remote-first, work-in-public culture at a sustainable pace.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- 2+ years managing software engineers directly, with responsibility for hiring, coaching, and performance management.
- 5+ years of prior experience as a software engineer building and operating production applications, with hands-on technical work in the last 3–4 years.
- A solid technical foundation, enough to lead architecture discussions and review code with credibility.
- A bias for experimentation: you make sound calls quickly, learn from data, and change course when the evidence says so.
- A people-first approach: you lead with empathy, listen first, and build the trust and psychological safety that help each person do their best work.
- Excellent communication skills, including explaining technical tradeoffs clearly to product, business, and customer stakeholders.
- Experience leading a team that shipped LLM-powered features to production, including evaluation, quality monitoring, and cost management.
- Experience building AI agents, retrieval systems, knowledge graphs, or familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP).

What we're looking for:
• 8+ years of experience in performance marketing, demand generation, or growth marketing.

• Experience supporting a sales-led growth motion and connecting marketing activity to Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs), Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs), pipeline, and revenue.
• A track record of driving measurable pipeline and revenue impact through paid B2B programs.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to make thoughtful decisions using incomplete or imperfect data.
• Experience partnering with campaign, analytics, marketing operations, or other cross-functional teams to improve performance.
• Experience marketing complex technical products to audiences such as developers, information technology (IT) professionals, or other technical decision-makers. Experience in cybersecurity or familiarity with artificial intelligence (AI) tools and automated workflows is also a plus.
What you can expect:
• Own the B2B performance marketing and demand generation strategy for a sales-led growth motion, aligning paid programs with pipeline and revenue objectives.
• Develop annual and quarterly roadmaps informed by business goals, audience insights, performance trends, and experimentation results.
• Manage paid channels and platforms end to end, from strategy and execution through optimization, reporting, and continuous improvement.
• Evaluate Return on Investment (ROI), marginal returns, and channel performance to guide budget shifts, scaling decisions, and investment strategy.
• Monitor leading indicators such as leads, MQLs, conversion rates, and Cost per Lead (CPL), as well as downstream pipeline, opportunity volume, and revenue influence.
• Design, execute, and analyze experiments across audiences, channels, creative, offers, and funnel stages, translating results into scaled programs and clear recommendations.
• Partner with Global Campaigns, Analytics, Marketing Operations, and external vendors to improve lead quality, strengthen campaign performance, and share actionable insights.
