ABOUT BASETEN
Baseten powers mission-critical inference for the world's most dynamic AI companies, like Cursor, Notion, OpenEvidence, Abridge, Clay, Gamma, and Writer. By uniting applied AI research, flexible infrastructure, and seamless developer tooling, we enable companies operating at the frontier of AI to bring cutting-edge models into production. We're growing quickly and recently raised our $1.5B Series F https://www.baseten.co/blog/announcing-our-series-f/, led by Altimeter Capital, Conviction Partners, and Spark Capital. Join us and help build the platform engineers turn to ship AI products.
THE ROLE
We're hiring a Sales Development Manager to lead the team of SDRs generating pipeline for our North American sales org. You'll own the day-to-day leadership of the team — coaching reps, aligning with AEs and sales leadership, holding a high bar on execution, hiring, and building the systems that make the team consistently productive.
Our market is new and evolves by the day, and our buyers are hyper-technical. Prospecting at Baseten means earning credibility with that audience, and coaching a team to do it at scale. The right person for this role is a coach and a builder — someone who gets energy from developing people, is obsessive about execution, and wants to define what world-class pipeline generation looks like when the product, the buyers, and the sales motion are all AI-native.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of SDRs responsible for opening doors with the next wave of Baseten customers.
- Own the team's pipeline generation targets and drive consistent execution against weekly, monthly, and quarterly goals.
- Build and refine outbound strategies, messaging, and frameworks across a wide range of accounts, tuned to a technical audience.
- Run 1:1s, team meetings, training, and pipeline reviews that make reps measurably better week over week.
- Partner with AEs and sales managers on account strategy, lead quality, and handoff processes.
- Analyze pipeline data to identify what's working, diagnose what's not, and change it fast.
- Hire and onboard new SDRs as the team grows, raising the talent bar with each hire.
- Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Revenue Operations, and Recruiting.
- Build with AI — test new tools, automate repetitive work, and make your team faster and sharper than a team twice its size.
REQUIREMENTS
- 1-2+ years managing an SDR or BDR team at an enterprise-focused tech company, and 4+ years in tech overall.
- Direct experience as an SDR and/or AE — you've done the job you're coaching.
- Technical aptitude and real curiosity about AI infrastructure. You should be able to hold your own in a conversation about inference and want to get deeper.
- A track record of top performance and progression in fast-paced, results-driven environments.
- Strong coaching instincts — you'd rather be in the trenches on calls and messaging with your reps than managing by dashboard.
- Comfort with data and systems. You can pull a report, spot a trend, and turn it into a coaching conversation or a process change.
- Hands-on with AI in your own workflow — you've built, adopted, or experimented your way to a faster prospecting motion, and you can show us.
- A builder's mentality. You own problems and their solutions, and you're at your best in high-change, fast-moving environments.
BENEFITS
- Competitive compensation, including meaningful equity
- (U.S. only) 100% coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance for employee and dependents
- Flexible PTO policy including company wide Winter Break (our offices are closed from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day!)
- Paid parental leave
- Fertility and family-building stipend through Carrot
- (U.S. only) Company-facilitated 401(k)
- Exposure to a variety of ML startups, offering unparalleled learning and networking opportunities.
Apply now to embark on a rewarding journey in shaping the future of AI! If you are a motivated individual with a passion for machine learning and a desire to be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team, we would love to hear from you.
At Baseten, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. We provide equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, genetic information, disability, or veteran status.

We’re looking for a Staff Product Manager to lead the enterprise readiness and platform modernization strategy for SaaS Manager, 1Password’s product for helping organizations discover, understand, and govern the applications their employees use. You’ll shape a multi-quarter roadmap across data ingestion, integrations, reliability, admin experiences, and responsible Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities, connecting deep technical decisions to customer and business outcomes. Reporting to the Director of Product, SaaS Manager, this remote role is open to candidates based in the United States or Canada.
How we’re using AI today
Our Engineering, Product, and Design teams are thoughtfully integrating AI across the full software and product development lifecycle to move faster without sacrificing quality or security. In practice, that looks like engineers using AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate reviews and catch bugs earlier, product managers synthesizing user research at scale, and designers rapidly prototyping and iterating with AI-generated mockups. We approach AI the same way we approach security: with clear principles, human accountability at every consequential decision point, and rigorous evaluation before anything ships to customers.
This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.
What we're looking for:
• 8+ years of product management experience, including end-to-end strategy and roadmap ownership for Business-to-Business (B2B) Software as a Service (SaaS) products.
• Technical fluency with integrations, application programming interfaces (APIs), data pipelines, platform architecture, and the trade-offs involved in building for enterprise scale.
• Experience leading complex, multi-quarter initiatives across Product, Engineering, Design, Security, Privacy, and other cross-functional teams.
• Strong product discovery, problem framing, iterative validation, prioritization, and success measurement skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication, including the ability to explain recommendations, trade-offs, and risks to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with SaaS management, license management, IT asset management, identity and access management, cybersecurity, or other technically complex enterprise products.
• Experience with third-party SaaS ecosystems, including single sign-on (SSO), System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM), OAuth, audit logs, or similar integration patterns, as well as responsible AI-assisted product development.
What you can expect:
• Own the product strategy, roadmap, and prioritization for SaaS Manager’s platform modernization and enterprise readiness initiatives.
• Lead discovery with customers, internal partners, and data to identify the highest-impact enterprise problems and workflows.
• Determine how capabilities such as data ingestion, near-real-time processing, integrations, observability, and admin experiences should be sequenced to deliver customer value.
• Partner with Engineering and Design to evaluate architecture options, clarify requirements, and translate complex problems into shippable milestones.
• Define success metrics and work with Product Analytics and Data partners to measure reliability, adoption, customer impact, and business outcomes.
• Align multiple Product and Engineering teams around priorities, decisions, dependencies, and delivery risks.
• Coordinate launches, go-to-market readiness, customer feedback, and ongoing iteration as the product evolves.

How we work with AI
We are committed to leveraging cutting-edge technology—including AI—to achieve our mission. We also understand that thinking critically about AI in its current forms will help us create better solutions for our customers and ourselves with its future forms, which will help us continue to close the gap between security and privacy and achieve our mission. An overview of this role
As a Staff Software Engineer, you'll help lead two important areas for GitLab Security: the data layer behind our vulnerability and dependency management capabilities, and our move toward services outside the GitLab monolith. You'll design and develop systems that ingest, store, index, and query security report data, including integrations with key third-party systems. With a strong focus on PostgreSQL and scalable backend design, your work will support security features delivered by teams across GitLab.
You'll take ownership of large deliverables from early ideas through implementation, working directly with product, design, frontend, and engineering partners to shape the technical and product roadmap. You'll stay hands-on across GitLab's Ruby on Rails application and newer services, including greenfield projects, while helping the team build its expertise in modular service design.
What you’ll do
Lead large technical deliverables from initial problem definition through delivery, often across multiple months or quarters.
Design and develop backend systems for vulnerability and dependency management, including security report ingestion, storage, indexing, querying, and integrations with key third-party systems.
Build and improve systems using Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL, and contribute to newer services using technologies such as Go or Rust where appropriate.
Shape technical plans, break down complex work, and help other engineers deliver effectively.
Work directly with product, design, frontend, and engineering partners to make clear decisions, resolve constraints, and deliver measurable progress.
Influence the team's product and technical roadmap through hands-on investigation, clear proposals, and iterative delivery that demonstrates progress in each monthly release cycle.
Apply a security mindset when designing systems, including considering how GitLab identifies and handles malicious or vulnerable software packages.
Define patterns for modular services, provide technical leadership when vulnerability management work spans multiple GitLab areas, and share that expertise across GitLab Security.
Take part in on-call or operational support where your team’s ownership model requires it.
What you’ll bring
Experience leading complex backend projects from idea through delivery while remaining hands-on with design and development.
Strong PostgreSQL experience, including evidence of query optimization, table optimization, and write-ahead log management in data-intensive systems.
Strong professional experience with Ruby on Rails or Go and comfort working in Ruby on Rails day to day. Experience with large monoliths is helpful, along with an interest in working across languages and services.
Experience shaping delivery plans, guiding technical decisions, and supporting the work of other engineers.
The ability to collaborate with a range of partners and explain technical trade-offs clearly.
Experience communicating with leaders, leading peers through complex delivery, identifying constraints, and moving work forward.
Experience using security tooling for activities such as vulnerability triage and remediation, or professional experience building vulnerability management, dependency management, or related security products.
Experience with large-scale data systems or established software products. We welcome transferable experience from outside the security domain.
Fluency in using artificial intelligence tools to improve delivery while applying sound engineering judgment.
About the team
The Vulnerability Management team contributes to GitLab's move toward modular services and will help other Security teams adopt these patterns over time. Today, we include two Staff Software Engineers, two Senior Software Engineers, and one Intermediate Software Engineer across the United Kingdom, Poland, the Netherlands, and India. You'll work closely with us, product partners, and engineering leaders across GitLab.
We work with clear goals and shared priorities. You'll receive clear context and outcomes, then have the space to own delivery, communicate decisions and progress, ask for help early, and work directly with the partners needed to get the job done.

An overview of this role
As a Staff Corporate Security Engineer, you'll help secure the systems GitLab team members rely on every day across a fully remote environment. This role sits within Corporate Security Engineering and focuses on building secure-by-default controls for endpoints and the SaaS platforms that support them, with a strong emphasis on macOS. You'll own meaningful technical decisions around endpoint hardening, automation, and detection, and you'll help turn security requirements into scalable engineering systems that are measurable, auditable, and designed to reduce friction for end users.
This is a strong fit if you're motivated by solving security problems with code. You will work across endpoint management, identity, and security operations to improve how GitLab manages macOS, iOS, Windows, and Linux devices through Infrastructure-as-Code, Terraform, and GitOps workflows. In your first year, you'll be expected to strengthen endpoint security architecture, expand automation, and improve the reliability and auditability of how controls are deployed and maintained.
What you’ll do
Lead the security architecture of GitLab's endpoint fleet and related infrastructure, with a primary focus on macOS.
Design and support automation for secure endpoint deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management using code-based workflows.
Manage endpoint and SaaS security configuration through Terraform, version control, merge requests, continuous integration pipelines, and automated rollouts.
Define and enforce security baselines across macOS, iOS, Windows, and Linux endpoints.
Develop patching and software distribution approaches that align with security, compliance, and operational requirements.
Partner with Information Technology, Security Operations, and Detection and Response teams to improve endpoint telemetry, detections, and response models.
Drive process improvements that reduce manual work and lower risk by favoring automation, policy-driven controls, and auditable change management.
Mentor engineers across Corporate Security and Information Technology, and serve as a senior escalation point for complex endpoint security issues.
What you’ll bring
Experience designing and delivering endpoint, systems, or corporate security solutions in environments that require scalable, durable controls.
Deep knowledge of endpoint management platforms such as Jamf Pro or FleetDM, especially for architecting and securing macOS environments.
Strong hands-on ability with Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code practices, including module design, state management, and pipeline-based deployment.
Experience working with GitOps workflows where changes are managed through Git repositories, merge requests, code review, and automated pipelines.
Strong proficiency in scripting or programming for automation and security tooling, such as bash, Python, PowerShell, or Go.
Familiarity with cloud identity providers and directories, including platforms such as Okta, Google Workspace, LDAP.
Ability to communicate clearly, collaborate across distributed teams, and work independently in an all-remote environment.
Openness to bringing transferable experience from adjacent security, systems, or platform engineering backgrounds, along with a practical and security-focused approach to problem solving.
About the team
The Corporate Security Engineering team secures the internal environment GitLab team members use every day, including endpoints, identity systems, SaaS applications, and platforms that store sensitive internal data. It's a small, high-leverage team that treats security work as engineering work: building with code, operating through Git, and using reviewable, testable, and auditable workflows by default. The team partners closely with Information Technology, Security Operations, and Engineering across regions, collaborating asynchronously to build controls that scale across GitLab's all-remote workforce while reducing friction for end users.

Familiarity with modern data and ML ecosystems such as SQL, Python, Snowflake, Spark, feature stores, MLOps tools, model monitoring, APIs, and analytics platforms.
Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous business needs into product strategies, roadmaps, priorities, and measurable outcomes.
Strong executive communication skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts into business impact.
Experience leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing product teams.

Experience defining success metrics and quality standards for data science products, including adoption, reliability, latency, interpretability, fairness, model drift, and business impact.
Experience building product management capabilities, teams, or operating models from the ground up.
Demonstrated ability to use AI-enabled tools, including generative or agentic AI, to improve product workflows, accelerate insight generation, and enhance decision-making.
