THE ROLE
We're hiring our first Regional Vice President for the Southwest. The territory runs from the Rockies (Colorado and Utah) through Arizona and the desert Southwest to Southern California. It covers some of the fastest-growing tech corridors in the country, plus a dense base of digital-native, media, gaming, and AI companies that already run on real-time data. You'll report to Mike Hayes and build the region from the first hire: set the strategy, recruit the team, and turn a widely spread, high-potential territory into one of the strongest regions in the Americas. This is a builder's seat with a clear path to grow with the business.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Design a multi-hub region. Build a coverage model across hubs that are very different from one another, including Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, Denver/Boulder, Salt Lake City/Lehi, and Phoenix. Decide where to place reps first and how to sequence growth.
- Hire the founding team. Recruit Enterprise AEs who can sell to engineering buyers as peers: technical, commercially hungry, and able to work on their own across a large geography.
- Own the number and the forecast. Carry the regional quota, run a weekly operating rhythm, and deliver a forecast your leadership can rely on, backed by MEDDPICC-style deal qualification.
- Win where real-time data is the product. Land and expand with digital-native and AI-native companies, media and entertainment, gaming, adtech, consumer internet, and fintech, where performance and cost at scale decide the deal.
- Turn adoption into enterprise agreements. Work with our product-led growth motion to find ClickHouse Cloud and open-source users ready for a committed relationship, then expand across teams and use cases (analytics, observability, and AI workloads).
- Lead from inside the deal. Coach reps through technical evaluations, POCs, procurement, and executive negotiations. Join the calls that matter.
- Orchestrate the extended team. Partner closely with Solutions Architects, Marketing, Partners/Alliances, and cloud marketplace teams to build pipeline and run cohesive account strategies.
- Build ClickHouse's brand across the region. Show up in the local developer, data, and startup communities, from Denver and Salt Lake to LA and San Diego, through events, meetups, and executive programs.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 10+ years of enterprise software sales in data infrastructure, databases, analytics, observability, or cloud, with a strong record as a quota-carrying seller.
- 5+ years leading enterprise sales teams as a first- or second-line leader, with attainment you can back up with specifics.
- Experience building or rebuilding a region from an early stage, ideally one spread across several metros, where you set coverage, hired the first reps, and grew the business.
- A strong network across the Rockies, the Southwest, and/or Southern California, both for hiring standout AEs and for reaching enterprise buyers.
- Rigorous pipeline management, deal qualification (MEDDPICC or similar), and forecast accuracy.
- Technical credibility with engineering-led buyers. You understand the modern data stack and can hold your own in architecture conversations.
- Experience with consumption-based pricing, open-source, or product-led growth models.
- The ClickHouse DNA: integrity, hunger, and accountability. You're curious, serious about the craft, and want to build rather than inherit.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience selling to digital-native, AI-native, media/entertainment, or gaming companies.
- A background in real-time analytics, OLAP and columnar databases, observability, or AI/LLM infrastructure.
- Experience as an early leader at a high-growth data or infrastructure company through a period of fast scaling.
- Co-selling with AWS, GCP, or Azure, and transacting through cloud marketplaces.
- Experience leading a distributed team across several states and time zones.
PERKS
- Flexible work environment - ClickHouse is a globally distributed company and remote-friendly. We currently operate in over 25 countries.
- Healthcare - Employer contributions towards your healthcare.

THE ROLE
We're hiring our first Regional Vice President for the Southeast. You'll be the founding sales leader for the region. You'll hire and lead a team of Enterprise AEs, set the operating standard, and turn a strong base of developer adoption and ClickHouse Cloud sign-ups into a durable enterprise business. If you've been an early leader in a region before and want to do it again with a technically differentiated product, this role is for you.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build the region from the ground up. Own the Southeast territory plan, including which accounts, verticals, and metros to prioritize first, and where to place each new rep.
- Recruit and close top-tier AEs. Use your regional network to hire a team of Enterprise AEs and keep growing it. Hire for technical curiosity, a proven record against a number, and high integrity.
- Own the number. Carry the regional quota and forecast it accurately every week, month, and quarter. Run rigorous pipeline and deal reviews using a MEDDPICC-style qualification standard.
- Land and expand enterprise accounts. Convert existing ClickHouse Cloud and open-source usage into committed enterprise agreements, then grow them as new use cases emerge. The Southeast's enterprise base spans financial services, payments, healthcare, logistics, retail, and media.
- Get into deals. Join executive meetings, pressure-test deal strategy, and help reps through complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles involving technical buyers, procurement, and security review.
- Run a tight team with Solutions Architects. Work hand in hand with SAs and SEs so every opportunity is technically sound and every customer is set up to grow.
- Work the full GTM machine. Partner with Marketing, Partners/Alliances (including cloud marketplaces), and our product-led growth motion to build pipeline and pick up self-serve accounts ready for a sales-assisted conversation.
- Be ClickHouse's face in the Southeast. Build our presence with customers, partners, and the local data and developer community through executive events, meetups, and field programs.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 10+ years of enterprise software sales in data infrastructure, databases, analytics, observability, or cloud, including a strong record as a quota-carrying seller.
- 5+ years leading enterprise sales teams as a first- or second-line leader, with consistent attainment you can walk us through number by number.
- A record of building a region or team from an early stage: hiring the first reps, defining territories, and growing a new geography into a predictable business.
- A deep Southeast network of enterprise AEs, customers, and partners, and a reputation that makes strong sellers want to work for you.
- Forecasting and qualification discipline (MEDDPICC or similar). You know the difference between a commit and a hope, and your leadership can trust your call.
- Technical fluency. You can talk architecture with data engineers and CTOs, and you can tell when a deal is stalling for technical reasons and when it's commercial.
- Experience with consumption-based or usage-based pricing models, and an understanding that in a consumption business the signed deal is where the revenue starts.
- The ClickHouse DNA: integrity, hunger, and accountability. You're curious, serious about the craft, and happy to roll up your sleeves.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience as an early sales leader or early seller in the Southeast at a high-growth data or infrastructure company.
- Background selling open-source or developer-led products alongside a product-led growth funnel.
- Familiarity with real-time analytics, OLAP and columnar databases, observability, or AI/LLM workloads.
- Established relationships with data and technology leaders at major Southeast enterprises.
- Experience co-selling with AWS, GCP, or Azure and transacting through cloud marketplaces.

You will be the senior subject matter expert on benefits within People Operations, owning the strategy and delivery of our programs end to end, managing carrier and vendor relationships, and ensuring our offerings are competitive, compliant, and cost-effective.
This is a senior individual contributor role. You will work independently on complex, ambiguous problems, influence decisions across People, Finance, Legal, and IT, and serve as a trusted advisor to the Chief People Officer and other senior leaders. You will not have direct reports, but you will guide and coach teammates and external partners through your expertise.
We are looking for someone who pairs deep technical benefits knowledge with sound business judgment, a bias for operational excellence, and a genuine commitment to the employee experience.
Responsibilities:
Own the benefits strategy and roadmap, covering medical, dental, vision, life and disability, FSA/HSA, 401(k), leave of absence, mental health and wellness, and global/international offerings, and recommend changes backed by data and market benchmarking.
Lead the annual benefits renewal and open enrollment cycle: plan design analysis, funding and cost modeling, carrier negotiation, communications, system configuration, and post-enrollment audits.
Manage broker, carrier, PEO/EOR, and third-party administrator relationships, holding vendors accountable to service levels, pricing, and employee experience standards.
Partner with Finance to forecast, budget, and report on benefits spend, and identify cost containment and plan optimization opportunities without compromising employee value.
Ensure compliance with ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, state and local leave laws, and non-discrimination testing; own required filings, notices, and audits, partnering with Legal and outside counsel as needed.
Administer and optimize benefits technology (HRIS, benefits administration platform, and carrier feeds), including integrations, data accuracy, and reconciliation of invoices and eligibility.
Serve as the escalation point for complex employee benefits, leave, and accommodation cases, and coach People Operations teammates on resolution.
Design and deliver clear, engaging benefits communications and education that help employees make informed choices.
Evaluate benefits for new geographies and acquisitions, and support the integration of new employee populations.
Build scalable processes, documentation, and metrics (participation, cost per employee, utilization, satisfaction) and report insights to People leadership.
Stay current on regulatory changes, market trends, and emerging benefits solutions, and proactively bring recommendations to the team.
Qualifications:
8+ years of progressive benefits experience, including significant ownership of renewals, open enrollment, and vendor management in a high-growth technology or similarly fast-paced environment.
Deep working knowledge of US benefits regulations (ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, and state/local requirements) and of health plan funding models, including fully insured and self-funded arrangements.
Demonstrated ability to analyze plan data, build cost models, and turn them into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders.
Experience with benefits administration platforms and HRIS systems (for example, Workday, Rippling, or similar) and with managing carrier and eligibility integrations.
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills, with a track record of improving cost, service, or employee outcomes.
Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain complex topics simply to employees and executives alike.
Proven ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and drive projects to completion with minimal oversight.
High standards for accuracy, confidentiality, and sound judgment with sensitive employee information.
Comfortable working with a highly distributed team across time zones.
Nice to Have:
Experience supporting benefits for a multi-country workforce or through M&A integration.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field.
Professional certification such as CEBS, SHRM-CP/SCP, or PHR/SPHR.

About LaunchDarkly Engineering
LaunchDarkly helps engineering organizations
ship software and AI with speed,
safety, and control. Our platform gives teams the confidence to release gradually, target experiences to the right audiences, learn through experimentation, understand what is happening in production, and respond quickly when risk appears.
Our engineers build the systems, services, SDKs, developer tools, cloud infrastructure, and product experiences that make this possible. The work spans high-scale distributed systems, reliable data and event pipelines, intuitive enterprise workflows, and AI-powered capabilities that help teams manage the next generation of software delivery.
LaunchDarkly’s SDKs are used in systems that perform trillions of feature flag evaluations each day, giving our engineering work a direct connection to the reliability and customer experience of software around the world. ClickHouse has a lot worth saying. The database has become a platform for real-time analytics, data warehousing, observability, and AI workloads. Many of the most interesting AI and software companies of the last few years run on it. Our founders and leaders hold clear, well-formed views on where data and AI are heading. And every week the customer base produces proof points most companies would build a campaign around. What we have not yet built is the function whose job it is to turn all of that into one story the market hears consistently, and from us.
We are looking for a Head of Story & Communications to build that function from the ground up. You'll own the company narrative: what ClickHouse should be known for, how the platform story gets told above the level of features, and how the proof we generate adds up to a thesis. And you'll build the machine that carries it into the world: the announcement calendar, press and media relationships across technology and business media, and executive platforms for our founders and leaders. This is a build role and a player-coach role. You won't inherit a team; you'll hire one as the function grows, directing our agency partners in the meantime and staying in the work yourself. You'll report to the VP of Global Marketing and work closely with the executive team, product marketing, and the people closest to our customers.
What You Will Be Doing
- Define what ClickHouse should be known for and turn it into a rolling narrative and communications strategy that the marketing and executive teams work from
- Build the communications machine: announcement calendar and tiering, press materials, holding statements, a reporter cadence, and launch amplification, directing agency partners and holding them to outcomes
- Own press and media relations across technology and business media, taking the ClickHouse story beyond the tech press and re-educating the market on the full platform
- Build executive platforms for our founders and leaders: the themes each owns, the moments and formats worth their time, and a clear way to evaluate inbound podcast, mainstage, and sponsored event opportunities
- Shape quarterly release moments and major launches so they earn attention and show up consistently across press, social, community, and the field
- Set the standard for how ClickHouse sounds in public: voice, quality bar, and the discipline that every published claim, number, and proof point is approved, current, and consistent
- Hire and lead the team as the function grows, and build the planning and review rhythm that keeps narrative, communications, and social aligned
What You Bring Along
- Experience building or rebuilding a communications function at a growth-stage infrastructure, developer, or data company
- A record of landing stories in tier-one business media as well as technology press, with the relationships and news judgment to do it again
- Experience working directly with a CEO and executive team: shaping their points of view, preparing them, and declining opportunities not worth their time
- Media-company operator instincts: you think in themes, arcs, and audiences
- Player-coach approach: you write and edit yourself, give useful feedback, and set the bar by example
- Comfort with a technical product and a technical audience, including credibility with engineers and developers
- Experience directing agencies to outcomes, with judgment about what belongs in-house
- Analytical grounding: you track what is landing, form a view on why, and use it to decide where to focus
PERKS
- Flexible work environment - ClickHouse is a globally distributed company and remote-friendly. We currently operate in over 25 countries.
- Healthcare - Employer contributions towards your healthcare.
