HEALTH CAN’T WAIT.
Not for symptoms to get worse. Not for a six‑month appointment. Not for a system to catch up. But that’s exactly how healthcare works today. You wait, until you can’t.
Alan exists to end the wait.
Health is a universal right, and we believe this right can only become real when it’s coupled with prevention. We need to stop treating health as something we repair and start treating it as something we build, every day. It’s not solely a question of willpower. It’s the healthcare system itself that needs to work for everyone, in a sustainable way.
So we are building the new standard in prevention insurance. Alan is the first company that integrates insurance, prevention, and care into a single, acclaimed user experience.
We are on an incredible journey to build a global leading company, with a unique culture https://alan.com/en/careers. We already partner with 40K+ companies of all sizes, serving more than 1M+ members, and have reached €800M+ in ARR.
Prevention as the new norm. That's what we're building with our team of 1000+ people. If it speaks to you: we're hiring across France, Spain, Belgium, and Canada. And beyond.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Employee experience — own the pre-boarding and onboarding operations end to end, and continuously improve the process so every new Alaner's first weeks feel smooth and well-supported.
- People operations — get hands-on with the fundamentals of HR and be the first point of contact for Alaners navigating day-to-day requests.
- Individual situations — shadow, then gradually own simple individual situations, learning how to guide leads and coaches through sensitive conversations with care and structure.
- Learning and development — coordinate and improve our training programmes for leads and coaches, help measure their real-world impact, and iterate based on what the data tells you.
- Automation and AI — spot what is still manual and should not be, then build the automations to fix it. We use Claude and Dust — you will too.
- Data and reporting — track key People metrics, turn them into clear insights, and make sure the team always knows what is working and what is not.
- Documentation — write and maintain clear, user-friendly documentation so Alaners can self-serve and leads can act with confidence without always needing to ask.
PERKS AND BENEFITS

ABOUT MISTRAL
Mistral provides full-stack AI solutions: from frontier models to developer tools, applications, and compute. We partner with enterprises tackling the hardest problems across high-stakes industries like finance, manufacturing, defense, healthcare, and the public sector, co-creating customized AI systems that they can run on their terms.
We are a dynamic, collaborative team passionate about AI and its potential to transform society. Our diverse workforce thrives in competitive environments and is committed to driving innovation. Our teams are distributed between Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East. We are creative, low-ego and team-spirited.
THE ROLE
Mistral is looking for AI Scientists with deep expertise in engineering sciences and machine learning to push the frontier of AI-accelerated simulation. Within AI4Engineering Science, you will research and train foundational physics models which are substantially more capable than what exists today and can be fine-tuned for downstream applications by both customers and internal teams.
You will work across the full research stack: curating high-fidelity simulation datasets, designing and training novel model architectures, and rigorously evaluating them against real engineering validation standards.
Working closely with the broader research organization, you'll ensure the foundation models you build are general enough to become the backbone of many downstream products, not just a single point solution.
This role builds on a strong, world-class foundation, and the goal is to take it further. You'll work one vertical at a time toward foundation models that genuinely transfer and fine-tune across engineering tasks, with high-quality simulation data pipelines, physics-based evaluation, and uncertainty / out-of-distribution estimation as first-class concerns. There's no inherited playbook for most of what's left to do: you'll help define the architectures, training strategies, and validation standards the team builds on, not just extend an existing one.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Research and train novel foundation models for physics simulation, pushing past today's state of the art in accuracy, generalization, and scale
- Design and run large-scale simulation campaigns using domain-specific solvers to build the high-fidelity datasets foundational physics models need
- Investigate architectures and training strategies (e.g. multi-fidelity training, pretraining objectives, scaling behavior) that let a single foundation model transfer and fine-tune well across diverse engineering tasks
- Rigorously evaluate model coverage, accuracy, and robustness against industry validation standards, and diagnose failure modes arising from data gaps or architecture limitations
- Stay on top of the latest developments in the scientific community and contribute to Mistral's standing at the frontier of AI-for-engineering research
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- PhD or Master's in CS/AI or an engineering science: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Structural Mechanics, EDA, Semiconductor Engineering, or a related field
- Strong, hands-on machine learning expertise with a deep understanding of model architectures, training dynamics, and evaluation methodology is core to this role
- You have developed ML methods for simulation or surrogate modelling
- You write clean, readable Python code and are comfortable in Linux/HPC environments
- Fluent English with excellent communication skills, able to explain technical simulation and ML concepts to both engineering and non-technical audiences
- Self-directed, you don't need detailed roadmaps to make progress
- Low-ego, collaborative, and eager to learn at the intersection of simulation and ML
- Demonstrated success through industrial projects, academic work, or personal projects
IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU
- Have industrial or academic experience with simulation solvers (e.g. OpenFOAM, LS-DYNA, ANSYS, COMSOL, Abaqus, Fluent, STAR-CCM+, PowerFlow, NekRS, Tau/CODA, JAX-Fluids, or equivalent; Cadence/Synopsys/Siemens EDA or equivalent)
- Have experience automating large-scale simulation campaigns on HPC clusters
- Have contributed to a large open-source or industry codebase
- Have publications in engineering or ML venues (AIAA, ASME, JFM, NeurIPS, ICLR, etc.)

ABOUT MISTRAL

We partner with enterprises tackling the hardest problems across high-stakes industries like finance, manufacturing, defense, healthcare, and the public sector, co-creating customized AI systems that they can run on their terms.
We are a dynamic, collaborative team passionate about AI and its potential to transform society. Our diverse workforce thrives in competitive environments and is committed to driving innovation. Our teams are distributed between Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East. We are creative, low-ego and team-spirited.
THE TEAM
You will join the AI4Engineering Science team, the Mistral research group that builds the data and evaluation infrastructure and owns the SFT/RL processes for AI4Engineering that teach our frontier LLMs to do real engineering work. The agentic engineering group works alongside the Physics AI research in the wider Science organisation.
This seat sits in the agentic CAD stream. Together with the Solutions and Applied teams, the group carries this work into customer projects with industrial partners in automotive, aerospace, semiconductors, and beyond.
THE ROLE
Mistral is looking for an AI Scientist with deep machine learning expertise and hands-on CAD experience to expand what our agentic tools can do for computer-aided design. Your focus is a single mission: teaching Mistral's LLMs to generate, analyze, and modify CAD designs the way an expert design engineer would.
Your core work is building the pre- and post-training data for Mistral's LLMs to reason about and execute real CAD tasks: text-to-CAD and image-to-CAD generation from technical drawings, geometric analysis and QA of CAD parts, and modification of existing designs. Because Mistral trains its own frontier LLMs, the data and verifiers you design ship directly into models you can hold - a rare position, and the core of the job.
Alongside this, you will help shape the agent architectures and harnesses that let these models operate reliably inside multi-step CAD workflows, driving CAD tools through APIs or computer use across the whole design loop.
This is early-stage work, and that's the point: you are joining at the foundation, shaping the data, verifiers, and agent scaffolding that decide whether these systems become reliable or stay demo-grade. There is no inherited playbook; you will help define what good looks like, and your work will set the direction the CAD stream builds on rather than extend an existing one.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Design pretraining, SFT, and RL data for CAD tasks: text-to-CAD and image-to-CAD generation from technical drawings, geometric analysis and QA of CAD parts, and design modification
- Define verifiers and evaluation criteria that capture what "correct" and "high-quality" actually mean for CAD tasks
- Scale the data pipelines that produce agentic CAD training traces
- Design and improve agent architectures and harnesses: how models plan, call CAD tools via API or computer use, recover from errors, and chain steps together across long-horizon design workflows
- Build and maintain CAD evaluation benchmarks and diagnostic tooling, from parametric CAD and drawing-to-3D benchmarks to industrial evaluations, identifying where models fail and tracing those failures back to gaps in data, reward design, or agent scaffolding
- Collaborate with CAD domain experts and the CAE and EDA streams (and the science and solutions teams more broadly) to identify which CAD workflows are highest-value to target next
- Contribute to Mistral's broader pre- and post-training research, sharing findings and methodology across the science organization
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Deep, hands-on machine learning expertise, particularly LLM development: you have built LLM training pipelines (SFT, RL, fine-tuning, GRPO), demonstrated in publications or shipped systems rather than CV claims
- Demonstrated hands-on CAD experience: you have designed, scripted, or automated real CAD workflows in tools such as SolidWorks, CATIA, Siemens NX, FreeCAD, or CADQuery, ideally with CAD-kernel grounding (OpenCASCADE, build123d)
- Fluent English with excellent communication skills: you can explain technical ML and CAD concepts to both engineering and non-technical audiences
- You write clean, readable Python code and are comfortable in Linux/HPC environments
- Self-directed: you do not need detailed roadmaps to make progress
- Low-ego, collaborative, and eager to learn at the intersection of CAD and ML
It would be great if you:
- Have experience building or fine-tuning agentic systems (tool use, multi-step planning, agent orchestration frameworks)
- Have experience with reward modeling, RLHF/RLAIF/RLVR, or preference-based training
- Have first-author publications or open-source benchmark work in agentic CAD or CAD-ML, such as CAD generation benchmarks or RL/GRPO fine-tuning of vision-language models for CAD
- Have contributed to a large open-source or industry codebase
- Have publications in engineering and ML venues (NeurIPS, ICLR, ICCV, SIGGRAPH, JFM, AIAA, etc.)

WHO ARE WE?
Cohere is the leading security-first enterprise AI company. We build cutting-edge foundation AI models and end-to-end products that are designed to solve real-world business problems.
We’re training and deploying frontier models for enterprises who are building AI systems. We believe that our work is instrumental to the widespread adoption of AI and we are looking for folks that want to be part of that.
We obsess over what we build. Each one of us is responsible for contributing to increasing the capabilities of our models and the value they drive for our customers. Cohere is a team of researchers, engineers, designers, and more, who are all passionate about their craft.
We are a global technology company headquartered in Toronto with key offices in London, New York City, San Francisco, Montreal, Paris, Berlin and Seoul. Join us!
Why This Role?
We're seeking an experienced Program Manager to join Cohere's customer-facing Program Management team, with a focus on Canadian public sector and defence accounts. This is a highly specialized role requiring an individual who understands technical program delivery, the technical complexity of frontier AI models and the unique requirements of government and defence organizations.
You will be the critical bridge between our cutting-edge AI capabilities and the specific needs of Canadian federal departments, provincial agencies, Crown corporations, and defence organizations. You'll navigate complex procurement processes, stringent security requirements, data sovereignty concerns, and regulatory compliance while ensuring our customers successfully deploy and scale our AI solutions.
In this role, you'll collaborate with our Strategic Customer team, Applied ML (AML) Engineering, Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE), Platform, Product, and Go-to-Market teams, serving as the technical program lead and trusted advisor for our most sensitive and high-impact government engagements.
Location: Ottawa required
Security Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance strongly preferred; candidates eligible and willing to obtain clearance will also be considered.
What You'll Do
Customer Program Leadership:
- Own end-to-end technical program delivery for Canadian public sector and defence customers, from initial deployment through production scaling
- Serve as the primary technical program point of contact for government customers, building trusted relationships with departmental CIOs, IT directors, and technical teams
- Translate complex government requirements (security, compliance, accessibility, bilingualism, data sovereignty) into actionable engineering plans
- Navigate government procurement processes, RFP responses, and contractual technical obligations.
Strategic Communication:
- Provide clear, timely, and objective communication across Cohere's engineering organization, customer stakeholders, and government leadership
- Translate between AI/ML technical concepts and government-appropriate language for decision-makers who may not have deep technical backgrounds
- Present technical roadmaps and status updates to senior government officials and departmental executives
- Represent Cohere's technical capabilities in sensitive government and defence contexts.
Complex Program Management:
- Create and manage project schedules that account for government timelines, security review processes, and ministerial approval cycles
- Identify and manage dependencies across government departments, security authorities, cloud service providers, and internal Cohere teams
- Navigate risks unique to government deployments: privacy compliance, Algorithmic Impact Assessments, Treasury Board submissions, security authorizations
- Drive alignment between product development priorities and specific government requirements.
Technical Delivery & Execution:
- Ensure on-time delivery of AI solutions that meet government-grade security, privacy, accessibility, and performance standards
- Coordinate technical work across multiple teams: model customization, security hardening, integration with government systems, bilingual support
- Establish governance checkpoints appropriate for high-stakes government deployments
- Problem-solve complex technical challenges in air-gapped, on-premises, or highly regulated environments.
You May Be a Good Fit If:
Required Experience:
- 6+ years of experience as a customer-facing Technical or Engineering Program Manager in AI/ML consulting, technology transformation, or enterprise software delivery.
- Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management.
- Experience working with government, defence, or heavily regulated customers (public sector, defence contractors).
- Proven track record managing complex, multi-stakeholder technical programs with stringent compliance requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree or technical certs a plus.
Technical Background:
- Strong understanding of enterprise software deployment architectures (cloud, on-premises, hybrid, air-gapped)
- Working knowledge of or experience with modern AI: LLMs, agentic systems, MCP, RAG, fine-tuning, evals, and responsible AI would be a strong differentiator
- Comfortable discussing API integrations, model inference, data pipelines, and ML operations with technical stakeholders.
Government & Defence Acumen:
- Deep understanding of how government organizations procure, evaluate, and deploy technology
- Familiarity with Canadian government requirements: data sovereignty, privacy laws (Privacy Act), accessibility standards, official languages obligations, security classifications
- Understanding of defence and national security considerations in AI deployment
- Experience with Algorithmic Impact Assessments or AI ethics frameworks is a strong asset
- Eligible to obtain Canadian government security clearance (Top Secret preferred)
Nice to Have:
- Active Canadian government security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) - strong preference for active Top Secret clearance
- Bilingual (English/French) proficiency
- Background in or strong familiarity with Canadian defence, intelligence, or critical infrastructure sectors
- Experience with GC Cloud services (Azure, AWS GovCloud) or Protected B/C environments
- Project management certification (PMP, PgMP) or government-specific methodologies.
Security Clearance Requirements
This role requires eligibility for Canadian government security clearance.
Strong preference will be given to candidates who currently hold an active Top Secret (TS) clearance, as this will enable immediate engagement with our most sensitive defence and national security customers.
However, we will also consider exceptional candidates who:
- Currently hold Secret clearance and are eligible for TS upgrade
- Do not currently hold clearance, but are eligible and willing to undergo the Top Secret clearance process
- Have a previous government security clearance that has lapsed
Please note that obtaining Top Secret clearance can take 12-18 months. Candidates without active clearance will work on non-classified public sector accounts while the clearance process is underway.
What Makes This Role Unique
This isn't typical program management—it's a highly specialized role at the intersection of frontier AI, national security, and public sector digital transformation. You'll work on some of Canada's most sensitive and impactful AI deployments, helping government organizations harness cutting-edge technology while maintaining the highest standards of security, ethics, and accountability.
If you're passionate about responsible AI adoption, understand the unique constraints and opportunities within government, and want to have an outsized impact on how Canada leverages AI to serve its citizens, this role is for you.

THE ROLE
As a member of the EMEA Talent Acquisition team focused on Corporate and Go-To-Market hiring, you will be instrumental in building and scaling Mistral's EMEA-based teams across both corporate functions and revenue-generating roles. Joining early means you'll help shape our recruitment strategy and operations, partnering closely with leaders across Corporate functions (Finance, Legal, People, Operations, Marketing, Communications) and GTM functions (Sales, Pre-Sales/Solutions, Partnerships, Customer Success, and Revenue Operations). Your work will directly influence Mistral's commercial and operational success by ensuring we find and engage exceptional operators who will drive Mistral's growth across the EMEA region. In this role, you'll also foster a strong candidate experience and help establish recruiting best practices as we expand across multiple EMEA markets.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
STAKEHOLDER PARTNERSHIP
- Partner deeply with Corporate and GTM leaders — from CRO and VP Sales to Finance, Legal, and People leadership — to understand hiring needs, define role specs, and identify the right talent across multiple EMEA markets.
- Own full-cycle recruitment across Corporate and GTM functions: Sales, Finance, Legal, People/HR, Marketing, and Communications roles.
- Advise hiring managers on market mapping, leveling, comp positioning, and the competitive landscape for EMEA talent, accounting for local market nuances, benchmarking, and statutory differences across countries.
- Translate the nuances of each role into compelling, accurate, and locally relevant candidate outreach.
END-TO-END RECRUITMENT
- Own the full recruiting lifecycle from sourcing to close, operating with autonomy on complex, high-volume roles across Corporate and GTM.
- Source passive and active candidates across EMEA talent pools, particularly in AI/ML, open-source software, enterprise infrastructure, and regional corporate markets.
- Conduct intake and calibration sessions with hiring managers to align on ideal candidate profiles and stage expectations.
- Drive efficient, high-conversion pipelines and close candidates in a fiercely competitive market for senior talent across multiple geographies and languages.
- Navigate cross-border hiring complexity, including relocation, remote-friendly offers, and country-specific employment frameworks.
CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE & SELLING MISTRAL
- Guide candidates through the hiring process with clear communication and a compelling narrative about Mistral's mission, culture, and trajectory.
- Articulate Mistral's positioning in the AI landscape — frontier models, open-weight philosophy, and enterprise credibility — to differentiate us against better-known competitors.
- Provide candidates with real insight into our GTM motion, corporate operations, growth plans, and the specific impact of their role.
- Deliver a high-quality, respectful candidate experience at every stage, regardless of outcome.
RECRUITING OPERATIONS & DATA-DRIVEN IMPROVEMENT
- Develop and refine recruiting processes, tools, and documentation to improve outcomes and efficiency.
- Use data to diagnose pipeline issues (e.g., drop-off at specific stages, time-to-fill by role, offer acceptance rates) and propose targeted solutions.
- Build and maintain market maps, competitive intel, and talent pools for key EMEA Corporate and GTM segments.
- Standardize interview rubrics, scorecards, and debrief practices across EMEA hiring teams, while respecting local market and language differences.
RAISING THE BAR
- Collaborate with Corporate and GTM leadership and the broader Talent team to continuously elevate our hiring standards.
- Contribute to defining and evolving our EMEA talent acquisition strategy as we scale from early team to a mature, multi-region organization.
- Partner on employer-brand and outbound sourcing initiatives that position Mistral as a destination for top Corporate and GTM talent in EMEA.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 6+ years of recruiting experience, including 2+ years in a startup or high-growth B2B SaaS/infrastructure company, with a focus on Corporate functions and/or Sales/GTM roles.
- Demonstrated ability to independently hire across the full GTM stack — from Enterprise AE’s to GTM leadership — as well as key Corporate functions (Finance, Legal, People, Marketing, Operations).
- Deep network and sourcing expertise in EMEA talent markets, particularly in AI/ML, open-source, developer tools, or enterprise software.
- Track record of hiring in competitive, candidate-scarce markets where candidates have multiple offers, including cross-border and multi-language hiring.
- Experience working across multiple EMEA markets and comfort with country-specific comp, benefits, and employment nuance.
- Willingness to work on other roles as needs come up.
- Comfort navigating ambiguity and switching between strategic planning and hands-on execution.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence peers and senior stakeholders without direct authority.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle shifting priorities across a high-volume hiring slate spanning two function families.
- Professional experience with modern recruiting tools such as Ashby.
- Familiarity with the AI/ML landscape and the ability to credibly discuss frontier model capabilities with technical GTM and corporate candidates.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our Deployment Engineering team in North America. This isn't a typical management role - we need someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and leads from the front: technically sharp, hands-on, and relentlessly focused on impact. You'll manage a team of Forward Deployed Engineers on the front lines of building agentic solutions with Cohere's North platform, balancing technical excellence with the kind of team leadership that actually moves things forward. You'll be solving complex problems and securely integrating AI into critical sectors such as finance, healthcare, and telecommunications.
WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Take ownership of customer success from technical implementation through delivery.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Sales to shape how we deliver AI to enterprises.
- Build relationships with technical stakeholders on the customer end.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, focusing on bringing agentic solutions to every step of the development process.
- Define and implement processes that scale agent development and deployment across multiple client environments
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering
- 2+ years of experience managing software engineering teams
- Experience managing engineers in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Hands-on experience building and deploying enterprise software at scale, with focus on agentic applications
- High agency - you don't wait for permission to solve problems
- A doer mentality - you dig in, get stuff done, and can execute in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication skills in English, with ability to translate technical concepts for both technical and business audiences
NICE TO HAVE'S
- Experience with AI/ML infrastructure
- Background in enterprise security and compliance.
