Our Global Structure
Deliveroo is now part of DoorDash, bringing together teams with even greater reach, scale, and ambition. Depending on your role, you may collaborate with teammates, systems, and leaders across DoorDash and Wolt. Together, we’re unlocking new possibilities as one global team.
Role overview
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help build and evolve our new Common case-management system, which powers support-case handling across DoorDash, Wolt, and Deliveroo.
You will own significant end-to-end initiatives across our backend services: case lifecycle, routing and assignment, queue management, case evidence and history, and migration from legacy systems. This is a hands-on role for someone who can turn ambiguous customer and operational problems into durable technical solutions, coordinate other engineers, and set the standard for reliability and craftsmanship on the team.
What you’ll do
Lead one or more project-level Case Management initiatives, on your own or by guiding a group of engineers, from discovery and design through rollout, measurement, and operational ownership.
Design and build scalable backend services and APIs for case creation, routing, assignment, transfers, audit history, notes, attachments, and queue-management workflows.
Help deliver feature parity with legacy platforms while safely migrating traffic across DoorDash, Wolt, and Deliveroo.
Make and own most technical decisions within your scope. Write project-level design documents covering how sub-features interact, identify dependencies and risks, and break work into parallelizable delivery plans.
Scope ambiguous customer and operational problems, weigh long-term against short-term trade-offs, and design durable solutions.
Partner with Product, Operations, Support, Data, and other engineering teams to define the right problems. Shape the team roadmap through prototypes, data analysis, project proposals, and backlog prioritization.
Run the coordination a project needs, such as status updates and dependency tracking, and escalate early to keep delivery on time.
Enforce team-wide quality objectives: lead design reviews, calibrate quality metrics, and improve logging, monitoring, alerting, and escalation policies.
Serve as first responder or incident commander, model good incident practice, and turn what you learn into playbooks and backlog work.
Introduce and guide AI best practices for the team, including evals, data privacy, and review of AI-generated code, and take part in AI-powered projects when they are central to the product.
Design reusable, self-serviceable solutions, and consider cost efficiency, including compute and AI costs, in key designs.
Mentor engineers through code reviews, design guidance, tech talks, and constructive feedback. Interview candidates, join sell calls, and take part in hiring events when the team needs them.
Must-have qualifications
Strong backend engineering experience, including designing and operating backend services, APIs, asynchronous workflows, and data models at meaningful scale.
Proficiency in at least one modern backend language, and a record of writing exemplary code for the core functionality of key components.
Demonstrated ownership of complex, customer-facing or operations-critical projects from technical design through production rollout.
Experience breaking projects into parallelizable work, identifying dependencies and risks, and giving accurate estimates for yourself and others.
Hands-on experience using AI development tools to improve productivity, while validating generated output for correctness, security, privacy, maintainability, and reliability.
Strong product judgment: the ability to turn ambiguous workflows and user needs into simple, maintainable technical solutions.
Proven ability to collaborate across functions, bring the right stakeholders into decisions at the right time, and explain trade-offs clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong engineering craft: testing, code review, observability, incident response, security, and operational readiness, with experience designing for reliability.
Comfort working on systems with high correctness and auditability requirements, including traceability of decisions and changes.
A mentoring mindset and a record of raising team-wide engineering standards.
Nice-to-have qualifications
Go experience.
Experience with migration from legacy systems, gradual rollouts, traffic shadowing, and feature-parity programs.
Experience supporting internal tools or operational user interfaces from the backend side.
Experience with high-volume, multi-region, or multi-tenant systems.
Experience as an incident commander or in running an on-call rotation.
Experience building AI-powered features, including evaluation of model output.
What success looks like
Delivers a major Case Management initiative with clear technical ownership, predictable execution, and measurable customer or business impact.
Improves the reliability, maintainability, and cost efficiency of the Common system while enabling safe migration from legacy case-management systems.
Helps move support traffic onto the Common system without reducing case-resolution quality.
Builds solutions that other engineers and operators can confidently reuse and operate.
Acts as a technical leader within the team: unblocks peers and partner teams, improves engineering decisions, influences the roadmap, and strengthens cross-functional execution.

ABOUT RAMP
Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $275B in annualized spend flows in and out of 85,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.
The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.
We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.
The median Ramp customer saves 7.5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.
If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Ramp is hiring its first dedicated Physical Security Lead to build and run the program that protects our people, our leaders, our events, and our offices. Our footprint now spans a multi-floor New York headquarters, Ramp-managed offices, and a growing set of hubs across North America and Europe. Our leaders are increasingly visible on public stages.
You'll own three areas in roughly equal measure: executive protection, event security, and office security (access control, cameras, guards, and building security). Your job is to turn a set of strong vendors and partner teams into one measurable, risk-based program.
This is a high-ownership IC role on the Corporate Security team. It reports to the Director of IT & Corporate Security and is based at our NYC HQ. This is a physical security role; cybersecurity and information security are owned by other Ramp security teams. We aren't looking for a guard supervisor or a box-checker. We want someone who makes it safe for Ramp to move fast, host great events, and keep our leaders accessible.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build and run Ramp's executive protection program:
- Protective risk assessments and residential security reviews.
- Domestic and international travel security.
- Advance work for high-visibility appearances.
- Selecting, standing up, and managing our executive protection provider.
- Turn threat intelligence into protective action. Partner with Detection & Response to move from online threat and exposure monitoring to threat assessments, personal-information exposure reduction, and clear escalation playbooks.
- Own security for internal and external events, from all-hands and offsites to conferences, customer events, and executive dinners:
- Risk-tiered intake and written security plans.
- Coordination with venues and vendors.
- On-site leadership for the highest-risk events.
- After-action reviews.
- Set Ramp's global physical security standards for access control, video surveillance, intercoms, visitor management, and alarm monitoring. Tier them for headquarters, Ramp-managed offices, and flexible or serviced hub spaces.
- Build security into every new office, move, and expansion:
- Write the security design requirements and review drawings.
- Manage integrators through installation and acceptance testing.
- Partner with IT on network and identity integration.
- Manage the guard program and security vendors end to end: scope, post orders, SLAs and KPIs, budget, and quarterly business reviews. Own the security relationship with landlords and building management.
- Lead emergency preparedness and physical incident response:
- Emergency notifications, evacuation and shelter-in-place plans, and drills.
- Liaison with local law enforcement.
- Workplace-violence prevention, in partnership with People and Legal.
- Run physical access governance with IT. Tie access to joiner/mover/leaver events, run regular access reviews, and keep audit-ready evidence for physical security controls.
- Measure and report program health to leadership. Use AI and automation to scale the program without scaling headcount.
WHAT YOU NEED
- 6+ years in corporate or physical security, including 3+ years owning a security program or major workstream at a multi-site company. Executing someone else's program doesn't count toward this.
- Hands-on depth in at least two of the three areas (executive protection, event security, physical security systems such as access control and cameras) and solid working knowledge of the third.
- Experience administering or deploying enterprise access control and video platforms (e.g., Avigilon Alta/Openpath, Verkada, Genetec, LenelS2), and partnering with IT on networking and SSO.
- A track record of managing security vendors (guard, protection, integrator, event staffing) through contracts, SLAs, budgets, and performance reviews.
- Strong risk judgment. You size controls to the actual threat, explain the tradeoffs, and lead with "here's how we do this safely" rather than "no."
- Excellent writing. You can produce a crisp SOP, an event security plan, and a one-page executive brief.
- Willingness to work from our NYC office 4 days a week, travel 10–15%, support occasional evening and weekend events, and serve as primary on-call for physical security incidents (with the Director as backup and guard and vendor partners as on-site first response).
- Real, day-to-day use of AI tools in your work.
NICE-TO-HAVES
- ASIS CPP or PSP; formal executive protection training; first aid or Stop the Bleed certification.
- Experience at a high-growth tech, fintech, or financial services company with a high-profile founder or CEO.
- Experience writing security design standards for office buildouts and reading architectural or low-voltage drawings.
- Familiarity with physical and environmental control requirements in SOC 2, PCI DSS, or FedRAMP.
- A government protective, law enforcement, or military background, combined with corporate program ownership.
- An established network of protection, event security, and integrator vendors in NYC, SF, and internationally.
FAIR WARNING
- This is a builder role. Parts of the program exist today (vendors, a responsibility matrix, some SOPs). You'll turn them into a system.
- You're an IC who directs vendors and partner teams, not a manager of a security staff. You'll need to influence Workplace, Events, IT, Executive Assistants, People, and Legal without formal authority.
- Security at Ramp enables the business. Events still happen, offices stay welcoming, and executives stay accessible. Your job is to make that safe.
- Evenings, weekends, and travel come with the territory, especially around major events.
BENEFITS AVAILABLE TO ALL FULL-TIME RAMP EMPLOYEES (GLOBAL)
- Flexible PTO
- Centralized home-office equipment ordering
- Health and wellness stipend
- Budget for intra-office travel
- Weekly coffee stipend

The Role
You’ll own a net-new enterprise territory in Melbourne. Most of your number comes from accounts that don’t buy from us yet.
New business usually starts with a team already running ClickHouse — open source, or a Cloud account someone expensed — until a bill or a security review pushes the conversation up to the platform team and the budget owner. Common triggers: an Elasticsearch or Splunk bill that’s hard to defend, a warehouse that can’t serve a customer-facing feature fast enough, an AI product querying tens of billions of rows.
You’ll carry a small set of existing accounts alongside the hunt, where growth comes from new teams inside an account that already buys from us. One team lands a workload, it works, and four other teams have a similar problem. But the bulk of this role is finding and opening accounts that aren’t on our map yet.
What You Will Be Doing
- Own the full sales cycle for new accounts in your territory — first conversation through security review, procurement, and close, on Cloud commitments and multi-year committed spend.
- Build your own pipeline. Self-sourced outbound is the primary input to this territory, not a supplement to inbound.
- Find and convert existing ClickHouse usage in new accounts. Unmanaged open-source deployments and self-serve Cloud accounts are the highest-yield source of new pipeline in this segment.
- Multi-thread across the data platform team, the budget owner, security, and the executive sponsor rather than relying on a single champion.
- Work with your Solutions Architect through the technical evaluation. They own the technical win, you own the commercial strategy and the close.
- Run the procurement path: security questionnaires, legal redlines, vendor onboarding, and BYOC or private-deployment requirements, including Australian data residency where it’s required.
- Give your champion the internal business case — TCO comparison against the incumbent, migration plan, and risk mitigation.
- Grow the accounts you land by mapping the remaining teams and use cases and building an expansion plan against them.
- Watch consumption trends across your accounts and engage early when usage flattens or spikes. Both are signals.
- Keep Salesforce accurate and submit a forecast leadership can plan against.
- Participate in the developer community in your territory: meetups, conferences, and events across Melbourne.
What You Bring
- 6+ years selling technical infrastructure to enterprise buyers — databases, data platforms, cloud infrastructure, observability, or developer tooling.
- A track record of self-sourced pipeline. You can explain your weekly prospecting approach and what actually works for you.
- Experience selling into Melbourne and Victorian enterprise accounts, and familiarity with how procurement and security review run here.
- A track record closing complex deals that went through security review, legal, and procurement.
- Enough technical fluency to hold an architecture conversation. You don’t need to write SQL, but you should be able to explain why a company moves a workload off Elasticsearch.
- Experience with consumption-based or usage-metered commercial models, where revenue moves with usage between contract events.
- Experience selling into developer-led, bottom-up adoption as well as top-down.
- Ability to orchestrate people who don’t report to you — Solutions Architects, executive sponsors, partners, product managers.
- Comfort building a territory from scratch rather than inheriting mature coverage.
- Accurate forecasting, including when the number is bad.
PERKS
- Flexible work environment - ClickHouse is a globally distributed company and remote-friendly. We currently operate in over 25 countries.
- Healthcare - Employer contributions towards your healthcare.
- Equity in the company - Every new team member who joins our company receives stock options.

About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the role
As a Partner Account Manager for AI-Native and Boutique SI Partners at Anthropic, you will own the relationship with a portfolio of our key AI-native and boutique systems integrator partners. These are the specialist services firms enterprises turn to when they want to design, build, and deploy production-grade AI with Claude, and they are among the fastest-moving partners in our ecosystem. Your job is to turn each of those relationships into a growing joint business: a shared plan, a healthy pipeline, and customers in production.
This is a commercial role first. You will build joint business plans with partner leadership, work with your partners' sales teams on live opportunities, team up with Anthropic's Partner Sales team to bring those partners into the right accounts, and keep a clear, accurate view of how each partner is performing. You will work closely with our Partner Sales, Partner Programs, Partner Support, Partner Activations, and Partner Success teams so your partners get the full value of what Anthropic offers, and you will bring what you hear from partners back to those teams.
This role reports to the Head of Boutique & AI-Native SIs and works closely with sales, product, and applied AI teams to make sure our SI partners are equipped to win and deliver transformative AI solutions for their clients.
Responsibilities
Partner Development and Go-to-Market
Own and manage relationships with a portfolio of key AI-native and boutique SI partners, from practitioners through to founders and executive leadership
Develop and execute joint go-to-market strategies that drive partner-sourced and partner-influenced pipeline
Lead partner business planning, including setting mutual goals, identifying target accounts, and defining success metrics
Work directly with your partners' sales teams to identify opportunities and support deal progression
Partner closely with Anthropic's Partner Sales team, who lead introductions and co-sell with our account executives and account teams, so your partners are positioned on the right accounts and opportunities
Run a regular operating cadence with each partner, including business reviews against the joint plan
Cross-Functional Partnership
Work hand in hand with Partner Sales as your primary go-to-market counterpart. You own the partner relationship and the joint business plan; Partner Sales works with Anthropic's sales leaders, account executives, and solutions architects to bring your partners into deals at the right time with clear roles, and owns co-sell execution and the partner-linked pipeline and forecast
Work side by side with Partner Success Leads on the partners you share. You own the overall partner relationship and the commercial plan; the Partner Success Lead owns each customer engagement from partner match to completed outcome, including delivery quality and the customer's Claude usage
Build executive-level trust with each partner's practice and delivery leadership together with Partner Success, so that when an engagement needs the partner to restaff, escalate, or invest, the ask is taken seriously
Align with Partner Success on how each partner's Claude practice is growing, including certified bench depth, a repeatable offering in a chosen industry lane, and published customer stories, and carry that into the joint business plan and go-to-market
Bring the commercial view to the quarterly practice reviews Partner Success runs with each partner, so the partner hears one set of joint goals across pipeline, completed engagements, customer adoption, and certified practitioners
Keep the handoffs clean: with Partner Sales when a partner deal closes, and with Partner Success when an engagement is matched to one of your partners, so both teams have what you know about the partner's strengths, capacity, and proof points
Work with Partner Programs to help your partners understand and progress through Claude Partner Network tiers, requirements, and benefits
Work with Partner Activations to bring your partners into the customer engagements where they can have the most impact
Work with Partner Support to get partner questions and issues resolved quickly, and to spot patterns worth fixing at the source
Work with Partner Enablement so partners have the training, certification pathways, and technical resources they need to build and deliver with Claude
Serve as the voice of your partners inside Anthropic, informing program, enablement, and product priorities
Partner Operations and Performance Tracking
Maintain accurate tracking of partner-sourced and partner-influenced revenue using our existing systems, tools, and processes, including deal registration and CRM discipline
Keep partner performance dashboards and reporting current, and use them to run partner reviews and internal updates
Follow our standard operating procedures for partner activities, and help keep them documented and up to date
Maintain partner data integrity and consistent measurement across your portfolio
Track KPIs for each partner and for the overall health of your portfolio
Assess partner contribution, engagement, and growth potential using established frameworks, and recommend where Anthropic should invest
Track and report the return on partner investments such as funding and enablement, and give Partner Success your recommendation on funding requests from your partners
Identify opportunities to improve how we work with partners and bring them to the teams that own those programs
You may be a good fit if you have
5+ years of experience in partner development, channel management, or partner management
Demonstrated success driving revenue through partners, with pipeline and bookings results you can point to
Experience working with systems integrators, consulting firms, or similar enterprise-focused services partners
Strong business acumen, with the ability to support deal progression and navigate complex partner relationships
A commercial orientation: you are a business driver first and a relationship manager second, and you are comfortable asking a partner to invest in its own capability
Strong analytical skills, with experience tracking KPIs, working from dashboards, and using data to decide where to spend your time
Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills at all levels, from partner practitioners to founders and executives
A track record of working well across functions to get things done for partners without owning every team involved
Experience with CRM systems and partner relationship management tools
Comfort with ambiguity and a fast-changing environment
Low ego, high curiosity, and a habit of making the people around you better
Willingness to travel to support partner relationships and joint customer engagements
Strong candidates may also have
Experience in AI, cloud platforms, or other high-growth technology categories where partner enablement and technical differentiation are critical
A background working at or with AI-native services firms, boutique consultancies, or systems integrators
An understanding of how boutique services firms run, including how they staff, price, and fund a new practice
An understanding of enterprise sales cycles and how partners influence complex, multi-stakeholder deals
Hands-on familiarity with Claude, Claude Code, and how enterprises build and deploy LLM applications
Experience at a high-growth company where the program was still being built
Passion for AI and an understanding of how enterprises are adopting AI technologies

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.

Our goal isn’t to ship the next feature. Each and every team of Notinos is working to set the standard for how humans work together in the AI era. From building a business’s system of record to making and managing AI agents to automating away the busy work, we care deeply about giving our customers more time for their life’s work.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Notion sits at a rare intersection: a product people love, a flexible system businesses run on, and a new platform for people and AI to work together. We’re hiring a Product Manager to turn that opportunity into products that feel inevitable. You’ll find consequential customer problems, set a bold but grounded strategy, and build alongside design, engineering, data science, research, and go-to-market partners. This is a high-agency role for someone excited to shape what Notion becomes next—and make powerful new capabilities feel simple, trustworthy, and delightful to millions of customers.
This role can be based in either San Francisco or New York City. We work from our offices on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays (our Anchor Days) because we do our best thinking and building together in person. We’re looking for someone who’s excited to work alongside the team during those days.
WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE:
- Uncover the customer problems and product opportunities that will define Notion’s next chapter, then turn them into a focused strategy and roadmap.
- Take ambitious ideas from first principles to launch, building closely with design and engineering to create experiences that feel simple, useful, and distinctly Notion.
- Make the hard calls—balancing customer impact, business opportunity, technical complexity, speed, and long-term product quality.
- Shape how AI changes both the product and the way we build, using it to improve research, decisions, experimentation, and execution.
- Raise the bar for product thinking across the team by creating clarity, accelerating learning, and establishing principles and success measures that endure.
SKILLS YOU'LL NEED TO BRING:
- Demonstrated ability to identify meaningful customer problems and turn them into products that are intuitive, useful, and built with a high level of craft.
- Strong product judgment and the ability to make sound tradeoffs among user experience, business impact, technical complexity, quality, and speed.
- A track record of moving ambiguous, cross-functional work from problem definition to shipped outcomes while creating clear ownership and alignment.
- Customer depth: you can learn directly from users across segments and translate differing needs into a coherent strategy rather than a collection of one-off requests.
- Practical AI fluency: you use AI to sharpen research, product thinking, decisions, and execution, and you’re excited to rethink how people and agents work together.
NICE TO HAVES:
- Experience building collaborative, productivity, or AI-powered products used by a broad range of customers.
- Experience operating across both zero-to-one product development and the improvement of products at scale.
- Technical fluency and comfort partnering deeply with engineering on complex product systems.
Notion is committed to providing highly competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits. The compensation offered for this role will be based on multiple factors such as location, the role’s scope and complexity, and the candidate’s experience and expertise, and may vary from the range provided below. For roles based in San Francisco or New York City, the estimated base salary range for this role is $238,000 - $250,000 per year.
By clicking “Submit Application”, I understand and agree that Notion and its affiliates and subsidiaries will collect and process my information in accordance with Notion’s Global Recruiting Privacy Policy and NYLL 144.

A NOTE ON AI
You don’t need deep AI expertise for every role, but we do expect every Notino to be intellectually curious, drawn to tinkering and discovery, and excited to use AI as a real collaborator in their work. For some roles, AI fluency is a core requirement — when that’s the case, we'll say so explicitly in the qualifications. People who thrive here don’t treat AI as a novelty. They use it to think better, and make their work easier for others to build on.
EQUAL OPPORTUNITY & ACCOMMODATIONS
We hire talented people from a wide range of backgrounds. If you’re excited about this role but don’t meet every bullet, we still encourage you to apply. Notion is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of any legally protected characteristic. Consistent with applicable law, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records. Notion provides reasonable accommodations during the application process; if you need one, please let your recruiter know.

About the role
We’re looking for a Director of Operations to lead the operational function supporting our growing global business.
This is a senior, hands-on leadership role responsible for building the processes, systems and operating infrastructure needed to deliver a seamless customer experience at scale. Assume responsibility for the operational management of Push Virtual Assets Ireland Ltd in the capacity of PCF-42, ensuring effective oversight of its day-to-day operations, operational risks, controls and regulatory obligations.
Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies and operational risks, implementing processes and systems that improve reliability, speed and quality of execution
Ensure we deliver a consistently high-quality customer experience across key operational touchpoints, from onboarding through to ongoing support and issue resolution
Own the Group’s complaints management framework, ensuring complaints are appropriately identified, investigated, escalated and resolved, with specific responsibility for complaints adjudication within the Irish regulated entity in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.
Identify opportunities to use tooling, automation and AI to reduce manual processes, improve efficiency and create better experiences for both customers and internal teams
Define and monitor operational KPIs, identifying trends, risks and opportunities and translating data into clear actions and priorities
Bring operational and customer insights into product development, helping identify friction points, improve customer journeys and ensure operational readiness for new products and launches
Own relationships and performance across relevant operational vendors and service providers, ensuring they meet our standards for quality, reliability and customer
Partner closely with Compliance and Legal to ensure operational processes and customer outcomes meet applicable regulatory requirements
Work with ICT & Security to oversee operational resilience, incident management and business continuity arrangements, working closely with relevant teams to ensure operational risks and incidents are appropriately identified, managed, escalated and remediated.
Hire, coach and develop a high-performing Operations organisation with a strong culture of ownership, accountability and continuous improvement.
Provide operational reporting and management information to executive leadership and relevant Boards, ensuring appropriate visibility of operational performance, customer outcomes, incidents, complaints and material risks.
Let’s connect if you have:
You have 8+ years of experience in Operations, Customer Operations, Business Operations or a related function, with meaningful experience in a senior leadership role
You’ve built or scaled operations within a high-growth consumer technology, fintech or financial services business
You have experience operating across regulated and unregulated business activities, with an understanding of how operational requirements, governance and controls differ depending on the nature of the business
You have experience delivering customer experiences at scale, with a strong understanding of how operations, technology and support come together across the customer journey

You have experience being a PCF-42 or a similar regulated position
Experience within crypto or Web3 is strongly preferred, particularly within consumer-facing products, but isn’t essential

Mistral provides full-stack AI solutions: from frontier models to developer tools, applications, and compute. We partner with enterprises tackling the hardest problems across high-stakes industries like finance, manufacturing, defense, healthcare, and the public sector, co-creating customized AI systems that they can run on their terms.
We are a dynamic, collaborative team passionate about AI and its potential to transform society. Our diverse workforce thrives in competitive environments and is committed to driving innovation. Our teams are distributed between Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East. We are creative, low-ego and team-spirited.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Research Engineer, GPU performance, you will sit at the heart of that spectrum: your low-level work directly determines how fast our frontier models can be trained and served. Working hand-in-hand with Research Scientists, you'll make every GPU count.
Mistral AI is hiring an expert in pushing large language model's GPU utilization and performance to their limits.. In this role, you will own the performance of our models end-to-end: writing the low-level code that extracts the maximum capacity from high-end hardware, and rethinking model architectures so they run efficiently at scale.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Develop low-level code that takes full advantage of high-end GPUs and maxes out their capacity — from custom kernels to memory-layout and communication optimisations.
- Rethink parts of the generative model architecture to make them more suitable for efficient inference, in collaboration with Research Scientists.
- Integrate low-level efficient code into a high-level MLOps framework, so that optimisations benefit every training run and deployment rather than a single experiment.
- Profile, benchmark and squeeze performance out of large-scale training and inference on thousands of GPUs.
- Model LLM execution on various GPUs with high fidelity to assess hardware usage and build serving performance estimates.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- High technical competence for writing custom low-level kernels and pushing GPUs to their limits.
- High expertise in the distributed computation infrastructure of current-generation GPU clusters.
- Overall understanding of the field of generative AI; knowledge of, or interest in, fine-tuning and using language models for applications.
- Strong software-design instincts: testing, code review, CI/CD.
- Self-starter, low-ego, collaborative.
WHAT WE OFFER

ABOUT US:
AI NEEDS A NEW INFRASTRUCTURE LAYER. WE'RE BUILDING IT AT MODAL.
Every era of computing brought new workloads that previous infrastructure couldn't support: mainframes, databases, and the cloud. Each time, the company that rebuilt the layer underneath defined the decade. AI is no different, except it touches everything instead of one slice, and the window to build the layer underneath it is open right now.
Our customers include category-defining companies like Ramp https://modal.com/blog/how-ramp-built-a-full-context-background-coding-agent-on-modal, Cognition, DoorDash, and Suno. They rely on Modal for instant GPU access, sub-second container starts, and native storage, so it's simple to serve low-latency inference, fine-tune models, and access production-ready sandboxes at scale.
We've passed $1B in annualized run rate, up 15x from a year ago. In October 2026 we raised a $750M Series D led by Accel at a $15.75B valuation.
Our team includes creators of popular open-source projects (e.g.,Seaborn https://github.com/mwaskom/seaborn,Luigi https://github.com/spotify/luigi), academic researchers, international olympiad medalists, and experienced engineering and product leaders with decades of experience.
THE ROLE:
We are looking for strong engineers with experience and interest in designing, building, and maintaining the novel, high-performance systems that make up our serverless platform.
Specifically, you’ll be working on the distributed object storage system that underpins every container image, volume, and checkpoint on Modal: hundreds of petabytes of data, replicated across multiple cloud object stores and a CDN, cached on local NVMe across a large fleet of workers in many datacenters, and shared peer-to-peer within each datacenter.
You’ll make cold starts feel local when the data is hundreds of milliseconds away, designing the caching, preloading, and peer-to-peer layers that hide object-store latency and keep public ingress off saturated uplinks. You’ll own durability and cost at petabyte scale, from streaming and batch replication between origins to garbage collection over billions of objects. You’ll work across the stack, from local disk and page cache to distributed blob storage and garbage collection, and you’ll help shape what storage becomes next as we push storage closer to workloads.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON:
- Build P2P sharing of data across workers within a single datacenter to dramatically reduce ingress
- Replicate data across multiple blob storage providers
- Automate garbage collection across hundreds of petabytes of data
- Deploy colocated storage clusters to datacenters to accelerate high-throughput customer workloads
YOU MAY BE A FIT IF:
- You have 5+ years of experience writing high-quality production code
- You’ve built high-performance distributed storage or caching systems at a large scale (the more challenges you’ve worked through, the better)
- You have strong cloud skills, including deep familiarity with object storage (S3 or similar), CDNs, and their consistency, throughput, and cost characteristics
- You have strong knowledge of low-level operating system foundations (Linux kernel, file systems, page cache, containers, etc.)
- You’re willing to step into the thick of it with our on-call rotation and respond to production incidents
NICE-TO-HAVE:
- Experience with replication, content addressing, and consistency models in multi-region or multi-cloud systems
- Experience operating storage systems at scale (petabyte-scale datasets, high-throughput read/write paths, large-scale garbage collection or data migration)
- Experience with data engineering at petabyte scale
- Prior experience with Rust
