From Fivetran’s founding until now, our mission has remained the same: to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. With Fivetran, customer data arrives in their warehouses, canonical and ready to query, with no engineering or maintenance required. We’re proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven.
About Us
Fivetran and dbt Labs are bringing together two industry-leading companies with a shared mission: helping organizations unlock the full value of their data. Work closely with our product team, leaders, and customers to help design and develop features that make Fivetran the one-stop shop for data activation.

We are hiring a
General Counsel
, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO). This role leads Canonical’s global Legal and Compliance function.
This is a unique opportunity for an
exceptional and commercially-minded senior lawyer
to lead the legal and compliance function of a profitable, fast-growing technology company that is privately held with the intention to list on a public exchange. We’re looking for someone with genuine fluency in the software industry and in open source dynamics, who can translate that insight into clear positions on licensing, commercial contracts and risk, and hands-on execution.
Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you will
own Canonical's legal, regulatory and governance posture
and lead a distributed team across EMEA and the Americas. Your primary challenge will be to continue building both the team and the architecture: a management layer across two regions, and the governance, contracting and controls a public company needs, in an environment that regularly does things the industry has not done before. You will work closely with our product and engineering teams on licensing and IP questions, with the security function on customer assurance, and you will advise the Board and its committees directly.
In our selection process, we
prioritize intellect and judgement
alongside depth of practice. We are looking for someone with a strong academic background, an active licence to practice, and demonstrable exposure to a multilayered global operational environment.
Location:
This role will be based in our office in London, UK.
The role entails
Leading the global Legal and Compliance function: setting it's structure, standards and priorities across EMEA and the Americas.
Building and managing a management capability: hire and develop managers, set objectives, review performance against a clear bar, and address under-performance directly.
Setting the operating cadence of the function: intake and prioritization of legal work, service expectations with internal clients, and reporting on workload and risk to the leadership team.
Owning public-market readiness on the legal side: corporate governance, group and entity structure, delegated authority, policies, disclosure controls and records, in partnership with Finance.
Advising the CEO, COO, CFO and the Board, and supporting in Board and committee meetings.
Owning the commercial contracting framework: standard templates, negotiating positions, and a deviation and escalation process that makes commitments visible before they are signed.
Leading intellectual property and open source licensing strategy, including copyleft, trademark and the terms on which Ubuntu and our products are distributed.
Owning the global compliance programme: data protection and privacy, export controls and trade compliance, anti-bribery and corruption, competition and AI regulation.
Managing litigation, disputes and regulatory engagement, together with the external counsel panel, its budget and its quality.
Advising on M&A, partnerships, strategic alliances and financing as the company grows.
What we are looking for in you
An exceptional academic track record from both high school and university.
A degree in law, or equivalent, and an active licence to practice in an EMEA or Americas jurisdiction.
Substantial senior in-house experience in a global technology or software business.
Proven experience leading a distributed legal team, including managing managers across regions and time zones.
A track record of setting and holding a high performance bar: hiring well, developing people, and dealing with under performance directly rather than waiting it out.
Experience building or restructuring an in-house legal function, including deciding what is retained, delegated and sent to external counsel.
Technology related experience of:
negotiating and owning commercial technology contracts, including enterprise software and subscriptions, channel and reseller agreements, hardware manufacturer agreements, cloud and services
advising on open source licensing, including permissive and copyleft licences, and familiarity with how open source communities operate.
Experience of, or demonstrable readiness for, public company governance: listing preparation, board and committee support, disclosure and controls.
Depth in at least two of: data protection and privacy, IP and trademark, export controls and trade, competition, or disputes.
Confidence to respectfully speak up, exchange feedback, hold colleagues accountable, and share ideas without hesitation.
Professional written and spoken English with excellent drafting and presentation skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability.
International travel two to four times a year for company events up to two weeks long.
Nice-to-have skills
Experience taking a company through an IPO, or practicing as counsel inside a listed company.
A technical or engineering background, or fluency in how software is built and shipped.
Experience of a subscription or recurring-revenue business model.
Experience building or restructuring an in-house legal function.
A qualification in more than one jurisdiction.

In addition to base pay, we offer a performance-driven annual bonus or commission. We provide all team members with additional benefits which reflect our values and ideals. We balance our programs to meet local needs and ensure fairness globally.
Distributed work environment with twice-yearly team sprints in person.
Personal learning and development budget of USD 2,000 per year.

Company recognition rewards.
40 days annual leave per annum, including public holidays and our All Company holiday periods.

About the Role
Fivetran and dbt Labs are building data pipelines to power the modern data stack for thousands of companies.
We're looking for a senior software engineer to join our Orchestration team, which owns the control plane layer of the dbt platform — the scheduler, execution harness, and results processing.
You'll own the design and delivery of features end to end, working across high-throughput APIs and data models to make them faster, more reliable, and more capable.
Together, we're delivering the data infrastructure layer that helps organizations move, transform, and trust their data — from the moment data moves, through every transformation, to the context teams and AI systems rely on.
Fivetran helps organizations automate data movement across the systems, clouds, engines, and tools they rely on. dbt Labs pioneered analytics engineering, helping teams transform data into reliable, governed insights. Together, we support thousands of organizations as they build a trusted foundation for analytics, AI, and better business decisions.
As we bring our teams and technology together, we're building on the strengths of both companies while continuing to deliver the products and experiences our customers know and trust. It's an exciting time to join us: we're creating a company with the scale, talent, and technology to help more organizations put their data to work with greater speed, confidence, and impact.
You'll write and review designs, raise the quality bar in code review, use the latest AI tools, and collaborate closely with product and QE to deliver work that scales.
Technologies You'll Use
Python, Rust, GraphQL, Postgres, Snowflake, Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, GCP, Datadog
What You'll Do
Design and implement features and performance improvements across the Orchestration team's services — the scheduler, execution harness, and results processing
Develop, maintain, and test high-quality, maintainable code, and optimize critical paths for performance
Write technical designs for feature-level work, actively seek feedback, and clearly explain the trade-offs of your decisions
Participate in and review technical designs and pull requests, providing constructive feedback to the team
Improve test coverage with comprehensive unit tests and refactor code to drive down tech debt
Troubleshoot and debug production issues, and follow up on incidents with post-mortems and mitigation plans
Break features into tasks, structure and execute your own project plans, and contribute to sprint and feature planning
Collaborate with product managers, QE, customer support, and peers to deliver the best product with high quality, performance, and scalability
Participate periodically in the on-call rotation, and be mindful of security throughout your work
Use AI tooling — IDE assistants like GitHub Copilot, coding agents like Claude Code, and conversational AI — to accelerate development and to author and review SDLC artifacts such as TDDs, PRDs, post-mortems, and test plans
Skills We're Looking For
5+ years of experience in the software industry with a passion for solving complex software engineering problems, including designing and building backend services and reusable components from the ground up
Experience working with distributed systems and cloud computing concepts
Demonstrated ability to write well-structured, performant, and well-tested code
Ability to independently lead feature-level software and design work that satisfies project requirements, and to clearly explain design trade-offs
Can identify design flaws in existing systems and propose improvements
Experience with code reviews, design, troubleshooting, and testing
Proficiency in a modern backend or systems language such as Python, Java, C++, or C#
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with continuous integration tooling such as BuildKite, and familiarity with observability tools like Datadog or Grafana is a plus
Fluent in using AI code assistants and coding agents to generate and investigate code, and conversational AI (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT) to research, author, review, and synthesize SDLC artifacts
Bonus Skills
Experience in data processing (ETL, ELT) and/or cloud-based data platforms
Experience building or working with metadata, catalog, lineage, or discovery/search systems
Experience with GraphQL APIs and high-throughput, multi-tenant data services
Familiarity with the analytics engineering workflow and the dbt ecosystem

About Us
Fivetran and dbt Labs are bringing together two industry-leading companies with a shared mission: helping organizations unlock the full value of their data.
As we bring our teams and technology together, we’re building on the strengths of both companies while continuing to deliver the products and experiences our customers know and trust. About The Role
As a Senior Technical Product Marketing Manager at Fivetran + dbt Labs, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the market perception of Fivetran+dbt Labs: building compelling narratives, driving product adoption, and shaping how our products are used and understood by our enterprise customers. This is a highly cross-functional, generalist technical PMM role that will support key product areas as needed and help scale technical product marketing across the organization. This role ensures our marketing efforts align with the technical depth, clarity, and value our customers expect. Technical Product Marketing Managers at Fivetran+dbt Labs stay current on the evolving data and analytics landscape, modern data infrastructure, and emerging trends such as AI. This role is perfect for someone who’s as comfortable digging into the details of our features and our users’ needs as they are with telling a big-picture story about where our platform and industry are headed.
This is not a Product Marketing role focused solely on executing requests from the product or sales teams. Product Marketing at Fivetran+dbt Labs is highly strategic and cross-functional, collaborating across product, marketing, GTM, customer success, and executive teams to shape the direction of our product offerings and deliver customer impact. If you are passionate about driving strategy, fostering cross-functional partnerships, and contributing to transformative initiatives in the data and AI space, we’d love for you to apply.
What You’ll Do
Content Development & Messaging: Create high-impact technical collateral across the Fivetran platform, including architecture diagrams, demos, white papers, blogs, pitch decks, technical guides, and other customer-facing content. Develop thought leadership that translates complex technical concepts into clear, value-based messaging for technical audiences. Review and edit materials across the product portfolio to ensure technical accuracy, consistency, and strategic alignment.
Customer & Market Insights: Conduct research on market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics across the modern data ecosystem to inform product positioning and messaging. Partner closely with Product Management to deeply understand features, technical capabilities, and customer use cases across multiple product areas. Develop how-to guides, demo videos, case studies, and technical whitepapers that support adoption and expansion across key products.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a technical marketing partner to GTM Product Marketers, Demand Generation, Regional Marketing, Sales, and Enablement to support launches, campaigns, webinars, field events, and sales plays across priority product areas. Collaborate with Partner Marketing to showcase integrations and ecosystem partnerships through joint initiatives such as webinars, workshops, and hands-on labs.
Technical Expertise: Operationalize technical product marketing best practices across teams. Stay up to date with trends in data integration, cloud data platforms, AI, deployment models, governance, etc. Serve as technical SME on the Fivetran platform, articulating how it fits into customers’ broader data stacks and workflows. We’re looking for a
Program Manager
to serve as the operational backbone of our pricing and monetization strategy in addition to supporting strategic initiatives, as needed. Sitting within Product Program Management and partnering closely with Analytics, Product, Sales, Product Marketing, RevOps, Finance, and Engineering, you'll own the cross-functional execution that turns pricing strategy into well-governed, shipped programs. You'll coordinate launches end to end, track commitments, resolve escalations, and expand the playbook that makes growth at Fivetran repeatable and scalable. This is a high-visibility role for someone who thrives at the intersection of program management, GTM, and product strategy. You will be driving some of the most impactful business outcomes.
This is a full-time, hybrid position based out of our Oakland, CA office. Our hybrid work model offers a blend of remote flexibility and in-person collaboration, including two days in the office each week to connect and build as a team.
Technologies You’ll Use
Google Workspace(sheets)/Excel, Jira, Looker/Sigma/Hex, Notion, Salesforce and Slack.
What You’ll Do
• Define and own the operating model and standards for pricing program management — the governance frameworks, templates, and decision rights adopted across Growth & Monetization.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to Product and Sales leadership on pricing strategy, influencing roadmap and go-to-market decisions and representing pricing in executive forums.
• Lead the most complex, high-stakes, cross-org pricing initiatives end to end — navigating ambiguity, aligning competing stakeholders, and setting precedent for how future pricing programs are run.
• Track executive pricing deliverables and commitments end to end, including commitments made to the CEO.
• Coordinate timelines, dependencies, and launch readiness with the ePMO.
• Partner with Product Marketing and RevOps on enablement plans and rollout execution.
• Manage pricing-related sales escalations and the cross-functional coordination required to resolve them.
• Lead pricing analyses and business requests, turning data into recommendations that inform pricing decisions.
• Report on pricing outcomes — such as closed-lost-due-to-pricing and overall pricing impact — and translate results into forward-looking recommendations.
Skills We’re Looking For
• Proven experience in program management or product operations, ideally supporting pricing, monetization, or GTM initiative in B2B SaaS and with consumption based pricing.
• A track record of driving cross-functional execution across Product, Sales, Marketing, and Engineering.
• Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication, including tracking and reporting on commitments to senior leadership.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret pricing and revenue data and translate it into clear insights and recommendations.
• Experience establishing operating rhythms, governance processes, and repeatable playbooks.
• Familiarity with GTM and RevOps tooling and processes (e.g., Salesforce, CPQ, and BI tools such as Looker).
• Highly organized and self-directed, able to manage multiple concurrent programs in a fast-paced environment.
Bonus Skills
-Experience in data processing (ETL, ELT) and/or cloud-based platforms
-PMP Certified

Provide best practices, reference architectures, and technical validation to support sales cycles and customer conversations.

What You’ll Do
Pricing Operations & QTC Support
Support pricing operations changes through business requirement review, data validation, configuration checks, and documentation, helping ensure pricing logic is accurately reflected in QTC workflows.
Validate pricing-related QTC changes across quoting, approvals, discounting logic, product configuration, and downstream order execution.
Help confirm that pricing changes are operationally ready before launch, including impacts to Sales, Deal Desk, Order Operations, Billing, Revenue, and marketplace workflows.
Partner with the Senior Pricing Operations Manager to prioritize pricing-related test cases, identify gaps in business requirements, and document expected system behavior.
Help maintain documentation for pricing- and order-related system configurations, known dependencies, and release-readiness criteria.

Participate as a Pricing and Order Operations subject-matter expert in UAT project-managed by Technical Program Management (TPM) and executed under RevOps coordination, ensuring relevant business scenarios and expected outcomes are represented.
Execute assigned Pricing and Order Operations test cases and collaborate with the GTM subject-matter experts identified by RevOps.
Partner with RevOps and relevant subject-matter experts to develop and maintain Pricing and Order Operations test cases, including scenarios for quoting, approvals, signature packets, bookings, marketplace offers, billing, and order management.

Maintain the Pricing and Order Operations portion of the regression test suite for recurring QTC changes.
Order Operations
Operate under defined business requirements for order operations rules within the QTC flow, validating execution across signature packet generation and e-signature routing, booking rules, marketplace offer configuration—including AWS, Azure, GCP, and Snowflake—and the booking-to-order management handoff.

Strong attention to detail and comfort performing structured, repeatable testing work.
Comfort using conversational AI tools—such as Claude, ChatGPT, or internal chatbots—to support daily and project work, combined with sound judgment about when human review or decision-making is necessary.
Clear written communication skills, with the ability to document test cases, defects, and sign-off criteria for technical and business audiences.
A proactive, organized approach, with the ability to work across IT, Pricing and Order Operations, and Sales and Deal Desk with minimal oversight.

We’re proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven.
About Us
Fivetran and dbt Labs are bringing together two industry-leading companies with a shared mission: helping organizations unlock the full value of their data.
Together, we’re delivering the data infrastructure layer that helps organizations move, transform, and trust their data — from the moment data moves, through every transformation, to the context teams and AI systems rely on.
As we bring our teams and technology together, we’re building on the strengths of both companies while continuing to deliver the products and experiences our customers know and trust. It’s an exciting time to join us: we’re creating a company with the scale, talent, and technology to help more organizations put their data to work with greater speed, confidence, and impact.
During this transition period, you may see references to both Fivetran and dbt Labs throughout our recruiting process as we integrate our teams, systems, and career sites.
