Creative Technology Lead
In a nutshell:
IDEO Chicago is looking for a Creative Technology Lead who is passionate about using technology to imagine and create products, services, and experiences that people love.
You’ll sit at the intersection of design and technology, using software, AI, hardware, and emerging tools as a creative material for exploration, invention, and making. This is a hands-on role for someone who lets the challenge at hand guide the technology they use: a curious maker who learns quickly, experiments fearlessly, and is as interested in what a technology means as in how it works.
You might prototype an AI-powered product experience one week, build an interactive physical prototype the next, and explore an entirely new tool or medium after that. Through it all, you’ll stay focused on the humans involved — using technology in service of people’s needs rather than as an end in itself.
Once you are here, you will…
Bring a technologist’s perspective to help clients and interdisciplinary teams navigate the intersection of what is desirable and newly possible. You may be leading a team and project or joining a team as a contributing member.
Rapidly prototype products, services, and experiences using software, AI, hardware, physical computing, and whatever other tools the problem demands, or that you dream up!
Explore emerging technologies and translate their capabilities, limitations, and implications into meaningful opportunities for people and organizations
Inspire teams through making — introducing new tools, unconventional approaches, and experiments that expand how we design and what solutions are possible
Contribute to the evolution of IDEO’s design practice, exploring how new technologies are changing the relationships between design, prototyping, development, and delivery
Participate in IDEO’s broader emerging technology community alongside other designers, engineers, data scientists, and more.
We're looking for someone with:
A strong track record of experimenting, prototyping, and building with a broad range of technologies, including products or experiences where AI plays a meaningful role
Experience shipping real products and an understanding of what it takes to get technology-enabled ideas to market.
Fluency in software and digital prototyping, with the ability to move from sketches and prototypes to proofs of concept and functioning experiences
A demonstrated curiosity to acquire new skills, learn new tools, and explore emerging technologies
The ability to hold rigor and imagination at the same time: enough technical understanding to recognize real constraints, and enough creative curiosity to explore things that have not been built before
It's a bonus if you:
Work across both software and hardware, including electronics, sensors, physical computing, fabrication, robotics, or connected products
Have experience in consulting, innovation, R&D, creative technology, or other environments where the problems and tools change frequently
Have thoughtful perspectives about how AI is changing software design, based on hands-on experience
Have a habit of building things simply because you are curious to find out whether they can be built
Some IDEO projects to check out:
Duck, Duck, Duck
American Express Pay it Plan it
Moooi Piro
Kooth Soluna
Ethiqly
Why is this role important for IDEO's work?
The technology landscape is changing quickly. AI is a powerful force, but it is far from the only one changing what is possible, easy, and commercially viable. At the same time, the boundaries between design, prototyping, development, and delivery are shifting.
We believe Creative Technologists have an important role to play in that change: staying curious about what is becoming possible, making those possibilities tangible, and helping teams imagine better things to build.
What does IDEO offer you?
IDEO is a place where you can solve diverse, complex challenges for our clients and their organizations, alongside thoughtful, intelligent individuals who lead with curiosity, empathy, and humility. We intentionally craft moments that allow our community to pause, create, and connect. We encourage our community to bring their whole selves to work, respect the need for work-life balance, and allow for autonomy in the design process and your career.
As a Creative Technology Lead in Chicago, we provide the opportunity for you to:
Work on breakthrough products, services and experiences across industries like health, financial services, and mobility.
Collaborate with a studio of creative, curious, and deeply thoughtful people who challenge and inspire one another
Shape end-to-end innovation, from early insight to market activation
Strengthen and explore your craft within deeply multidisciplinary teams while growing as a human-centered creative leader
Application Instructions:
To apply, please submit your resume, cover letter, and your portfolio. In particular, we would like to see your approach and process of your projects in addition to the final outputs.
Payscale & Benefits
IDEO is committed to paying its employees, contractors & vendors equitably, regardless of gender identity or race/ethnicity/cultural identity.
The salary range for this role is $120,000-140,000 USD. Final offers may vary based on candidate experience, location, and other factors. As a full-time position, this role is eligible for employee benefits.
In addition to base compensation, IDEO offers a rich benefits package including the following:
Hybrid Model: Team members based in Chicago are expected to work in the studio on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with flexibility based on client travel, project needs, and deliverables.
Health Benefits: Vision, Dental, Medical/Healthcare
Financial Benefits: 401K with Employer Contribution
Family & Caregiving: Parental Leave, Adoption Assistance, Fertility Assistance, Transgender Medical Assistance, Breastmilk shipment, Back-up/Dependent Care, Pet Insurance

- An established network and strong relationships across the telecommunications industry
- Proven success closing seven figure deals and managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles

What We Do:
Cybercrime is growing, and more businesses are getting hit by threats that used to target only the biggest organizations. That pushes defenders like us to operate at the highest level, and it deepens our need for good people who want to make a meaningful impact.
Founded in 2015 by former NSA cyber operators, Huntress is a remote-first team working to make enterprise-grade cybersecurity accessible to businesses of all sizes. We work closely with security teams and service providers protecting complex environments, often without the time or headcount to handle it all. That’s why we build our technology in-house and back it with a 24/7 human-led Security Operations Center (SOC). As a result, our platform is never disconnected from the experts who manage it, ensuring our customers' protection.
Huntress now secures more than 6M endpoints and 17M identities worldwide. Those numbers keep growing because more businesses rely on us to help carry the load and operate with more confidence. Every day, you can see that commitment in how we stand with our customers and how we show up for each other.
Reports to: Sr. Director, Demand Integration
Location: Remote US
Compensation Range: $142,000 to $152,000 base plus bonus and equity
What You'll Do:
You own the lifecycle operating model for customer and partner growth, turning signals into plays that improve cross-sell performance, recover closed-lost opportunities, and identify where automation can change how the work gets done. On the Demand Integration team within Revenue Operations, you set priorities, make tradeoffs, and turn ambiguous opportunities into clear paths from marketing handoff through CAM execution. You shape the requirements, operating rhythms, and success measures that keep teams aligned, while the Customer Campaigns and Product Marketing teams own broader campaign strategy, content, and channel plans.
You are Give a $h*t in the way you identify gaps, take ownership of the operating model, and make the motion work instead of sending another one-off list to the field. You are Outcome-Obsessed about the measurable impact of lifecycle programs, from qualified expansion opportunities to recovered pipeline and efficient rep follow-up. Perfect Imperfection shows up in how you use data and feedback to make informed tradeoffs, improve the system, and raise the quality of each iteration. You lead through influence by building stakeholder buy-in, incorporating feedback from CAMs and partner teams, and keeping cross-functional decisions moving.
Responsibilities:
Set and own the lifecycle operating model for customers and partners from marketing handoff through Account Management (CAM) execution, securing stakeholder buy-in, incorporating feedback from customer-facing teams, and aligning cross-functional priorities to improve expansion outcomes.
Identify, prioritize, and lead high-value automation opportunities across lifecycle execution by diagnosing process gaps, defining requirements, aligning stakeholders, and implementing scalable workflows, routing, and handoffs across go-to-market platforms.
Own the strategy and execution of re-engagement plays for delayed, stalled, and closed-lost cross-sell and expansion opportunities by defining recovery hypotheses, eligibility criteria, audience logic, sequence structure, automation, rep handoff, and measures of recovered pipeline and rep follow-through.
Establish the handoff experience for Account Management and other customer-facing roles so reps know who to engage, why the opportunity is relevant, and what action is expected, then improve the supporting follow-up based on field feedback and results.
Apply consent, opt-in and opt-out, suppression, contact governance, and other communication requirements while coordinating timing to reduce conflicting or excessive outreach.
Use approved AI tools to work faster on research, documentation, analysis, and workflow preparation while applying sound judgment and validating outputs before execution.
Establish the measurement framework for lifecycle performance, including engagement, rep follow-through, conversion, recovered pipeline, and influenced pipeline, then use the findings to set priorities and improve the operating model.
What You Bring to the Team:
You have experience shaping lifecycle strategy and operating models while staying close enough to the systems to build or improve sequences, workflows, routing, and automation.
You have experience designing targeted lifecycle motions across marketing automation, email, CRM, and sales engagement platforms, including the audience segmentation required to support them.
You understand customer lifecycle, cross-sell, expansion, closed-lost recovery, install-base, or partner motions and can translate business goals into practical programs.
You have working knowledge of email compliance, consent and opt-out requirements, suppression logic, and contact governance.
You are comfortable working with customer, opportunity, product, and engagement data to build accurate audiences and evaluate play performance.
You bring strong strategic judgment, systems thinking, and ownership, with the ability to turn an ambiguous business opportunity into a prioritized, scalable plan and lead cross-functional teams toward a measurable outcome without relying on formal authority.
You use AI to work faster and smarter in day-to-day research, documentation, analysis, and workflow tasks while applying good judgment about accuracy, privacy, and appropriate application.

Reports to: Senior Manager, Competitive Intelligence
Compensation Range: €77,500 to €87,500 base plus bonus and equity
Location: Remote Ireland
What You’ll Do:
Huntress helps protect organizations from cyber threats with a security platform backed by human expertise. The Competitive & Market Intelligence team helps the business understand how buyers make decisions, how competitors and market conditions are changing, and what those changes mean for Huntress.
As the Senior Competitive & Market Intelligence Strategist, you’ll develop deep insight into European buyers, markets, and competitive dynamics while contributing to global CI and MI priorities. You’ll lead research that informs decisions across regions and turn it into practical guidance for Sales, Product, Product Marketing, Marketing, Pricing, and leadership. The role combines strategic research with field engagement, including deal reviews and support for teams across Huntress.
Responsibilities:
Lead Europe-focused market and competitive research while contributing to global CMI priorities. Analyze buyer priorities, category and channel dynamics, competitor positioning, pricing and packaging, and differences across regions.
Design and conduct primary and secondary research, including buyer, customer, and partner conversations; win/loss research; competitor analysis; review and community research; and quantitative analysis. Triangulate evidence rather than relying on a single source.
Investigate market requirements and differences across regions, with particular depth in European cybersecurity frameworks, regulation, data residency, sovereignty, procurement, and cross-border data access. Build working knowledge of these topics; deep regulatory expertise is not a prerequisite.
Support Sales and Sales Engineering with timely competitive guidance across the global field, with Europe as the primary regional focus. Join relevant deal reviews, support active opportunities, and establish recurring CI office hours and team learning sessions. Build practical discovery questions, objection handling, talk tracks, and competitive content sellers can use.
Analyze wins, losses, and delayed purchases across regions using buyer interviews and internal evidence, including Salesforce, Gong, and Clozd; while also conduction your own interviews and surveys to distinguish buyer-validated findings from seller-entered data, signals, and inference.
Partner with Product Marketing to establish and evolve competitive positioning strategy and messaging, grounded in buyer and market evidence. Turn that strategy into battlecards, competitor comparisons, campaign input, market landscapes, and recommendations for global Sales, Product, Marketing, Pricing, and leadership teams.
Partner with global Marketing, PR, and analyst-relations stakeholders on evidence-backed market and competitive context, including media or spokesperson support when appropriate. Use AI tools to accelerate research synthesis and repeatable analysis workflows while validating outputs, protecting sensitive information, and keeping evidence traceable.
Work closely with product to share win, loss, and churn reasons, and perform market research that influences and informs the product road maps to overcome competitive pressure and differentiate Huntress from the competition.
What You Bring To The Team:
5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a background in competitive or market intelligence, market research, Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or a customer-facing sales role who is research-minded in cybersecurity. One who is detail-oriented and curious is a strong fit.
Technical familiarity with cybersecurity products and the ability to engage credibly with technical buyers, sellers, and product teams. Solutions or Sales Engineering experience is a strong fit, but a prior CI title is not required.
Experience designing and conducting qualitative and quantitative research, analyzing buyer or market evidence, and turning findings into defensible recommendations.
Experience researching European markets, or a track record of adapting research to meaningful differences across countries, buyer contexts, and routes to market.
The judgment to assess source quality, separate fact from interpretation, and explain what the evidence does and does not support.
A track record of translating complex research into concise, useful outputs and presenting findings to commercial, product, marketing, and senior audiences.
Experience supporting PR or analyst relations, or serving as a spokesperson, is a plus—not a requirement. Familiarity with relevant European frameworks or regulations is also helpful, not required.

100% remote work environment - since our founding in 2015
New starter home office set up reimbursement (£398)
