- Hands-on experience with frontier LLMs and their applications in code generation or automation.
- Strong software engineering skills, with proficiency in Python and PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar frameworks.
- Experience with distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and scalable architectures.
- A proactive, self-motivated mindset, with a passion for solving ambitious, open-ended problems.

ABOUT US:
AI NEEDS A NEW INFRASTRUCTURE LAYER. WE'RE BUILDING IT AT MODAL.
Every era of computing brought new workloads that previous infrastructure couldn't support: mainframes, databases, and the cloud. Each time, the company that rebuilt the layer underneath defined the decade. AI is no different, except it touches everything instead of one slice, and the window to build the layer underneath it is open right now.
Our customers include category-defining companies like Ramp https://modal.com/blog/how-ramp-built-a-full-context-background-coding-agent-on-modal, Cognition, DoorDash, and Suno. They rely on Modal for instant GPU access, sub-second container starts, and native storage, so it's simple to serve low-latency inference, fine-tune models, and access production-ready sandboxes at scale.
We've passed $1B in annualized run rate, up 15x from a year ago. In October 2026 we raised a $750M Series D led by Accel at a $15.75B valuation.
Our team includes creators of popular open-source projects (e.g.,Seaborn https://github.com/mwaskom/seaborn,Luigi https://github.com/spotify/luigi), academic researchers, international olympiad medalists, and experienced engineering and product leaders with decades of experience.
THE ROLE:
Modal builds AI infrastructure products that developers love. That's how we grew so quickly, and why word of mouth remains one of our most important channels today.
In this role, you will primarily create and distribute technical content that is unique, educational, and practical. This content will be the first Modal touchpoint for many of our users. We want to not only showcase the power and developer experience of Modal, but also serve as a trusted resource for them when implementing new AI technologies.
In this role, you will:
- Distill the latest advancements in AI technology and educate developers on how to incorporate them.
- Give demos/talks about Modal and adjacent tools at developer events.
- Engage with users in our community, both online (X, LinkedInReddit, Slack) and at in-person events.
- Build relationships, integrations, and joint marketing activities with other developer-focused companies
- Set objectives that are aligned with the greater GTM team and track the impact of the initiatives you work on.
REQUIREMENTS:
We are looking for someone who:
- 3+ years as a software engineer
- Is energized by the AI developer community and wants to help developers adopt new technologies.
- Loves teaching.
- Has excellent technical communication skills.
- Is metrics-driven and takes quantitative approaches to prioritizing initiatives.
- Is excited about working in-person in the NYC, SF or Stockholm office.
- Bonus: you're not afraid to think outside the box when it comes to compelling technical content.
- Bonus: you already have a developer following on social media!

REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of sales experience in infrastructure, developer tools, data, or another consumption business, with a record of closing complex technical deals.
- Proven net-new experience selling complex technical products in fast-moving environments.
- Strong sales fundamentals across discovery, multi-threading, champion-building, and deal momentum.
- Genuine curiosity for open-source models and the AI infrastructure landscape. You follow model releases and can hold your own with engineers.
- Highly dynamic: comfortable when a deal goes off-script, able to meet customers where they are, and willing to change your approach without losing rigor.
- Strong technical project management: you can run a thorough evaluation across multiple workstreams and create clarity and direction for Baseten to win..
- Proven ability to sell internally, earning engineering time, aligning leadership, and getting cross-functional teams to move
- Scrappy, low-ego, collaborative operator. You run toward ambiguous problems, create structure where none exists, and earn internal support without relying on rigid swim lanes.
BENEFITS
- Competitive compensation, including meaningful equity
- (U.S. only) 100% coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance for employee and dependents
- Flexible PTO policy including company wide Winter Break (our offices are closed from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day!)

THE ROLE:
We’re looking for strong engineers with experience building software that developers love to work with. Our ideal candidate is someone with a demonstrated drive to build beautiful abstractions that enhance developer productivity.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of experience developing high-quality Python, JS or Go applications or libraries where the code is used or interacted with by other developers
- A strong code-as-product sense that manifests as a focus on developer ergonomics and productivity.
- Knowledge of async programming and concurrency management/pitfalls
- A high level of customer empathy, good communication skills, and an openness to working directly with our users to help solve their problems.
- Ability to participate in on-call rotation and respond to production incidents.
- Ability to work in-person in our New York or Stockholm office.
- Any of the following would be a plus:
- Having built developer tools or SDKs
- Experience maintaining open-source software
- Good understanding of agentic development workflows
- Familiarity with modern data / ML / AI tools and workflows
KEY ACTIONS THE TEAM IS WORKING ON:

About Vercel:
Vercel is the agentic infrastructure company, freeing people and agents to ship what's next. For more than a decade we've helped builders move from idea to production with speed, security, and exceptional developer experience.
Now we're scaling our products for both agents and people to ship and run software, built in the open and trusted by OpenAI, PayPal, Ramp, Supreme, and millions of developers worldwide.
About Startups @ Vercel
The Vercel Startups org exists to help founders navigate the shift to AI-native development with confidence. Startups move faster than ever—what used to take years now happens in days—and the decisions founders make early can either unlock scale or become long-term constraints. We partner with startups at the critical moments where technical, commercial, and strategic support starts to matter most.
We’re a talent-dense team made up of former founders, engineers, and experienced go-to-market operators who bring firsthand experience building, scaling, and supporting modern software companies. Many of us have sat on the other side of the table, making architectural decisions, navigating tradeoffs, and scaling under real constraints, and we bring that perspective into every customer interaction.
We operate with a growth mindset and strong shared ownership. We dig deep to understand our customers, work closely across functions as one team, and find ways to win even when the path forward isn’t obvious. Resilience, curiosity, and a willingness to push through hard problems are table stakes here.
This is a team for people who want to operate with high trust, high agency, and high impact — alongside peers who care deeply about helping startups succeed.
About The Role
You are an expert in Vercel, you have incredible pattern recognition, and are at the bleeding edge of the tech and tools defining how we live and work. In this role, you'll help startups unlock Vercel's full value from adoption through scaling—building relationships with founders and technical leaders who are making critical architectural decisions. You'll analyze usage patterns to identify expansion opportunities, coordinate cross-functional teams to drive outcomes, and guide teams as they adopt AI-native architectures. By leveraging automation and AI to maximize your impact, you'll help refine early plays into repeatable playbooks that scale across our startup portfolio.
If you’re based within commuting distance of our London office, the role includes in-office anchor days.
What You Will Do
Build trusted relationships with founders, developers, and technical leaders by quickly developing deep understanding of their architecture, use cases, and technical constraints
Landing new logos, driving early activation, and making Vercel the default choice before competitors get in
Driving first activation, earning trust fast, and positioning Vercel as the obvious default stack
Focus on pipeline generation, outbound, identifying high-potential startups early
Partner with founders and developers as they adopt AI-native features and architectures, helping them understand how Vercel’s Frontend Cloud fits into a rapidly evolving developer ecosystem and supports new workloads, performance requirements, and scaling patterns
Use automation, agents, and self-built workflows to operate at high leverage and focus time and energy on the most impactful customer work
Operate comfortably in an evolving environment, helping refine early motions and turn what works into repeatable playbooks
About You
We’re looking for someone who sits at the intersection of technical curiosity, commercial excellence, and startup mindset. You identify pattern recognition, have founder empathy, and have the ability to speak credibly to pre-seed through Series D companies and beyond who are making fast decisions.
You might be a great fit if you’ve developed this skill set through a range of paths—whether as a builder, founder, engineer, or in a technical go-to-market role—and you bring strong judgment, ownership, and curiosity to how you work.
In practice, this looks like someone who:
Learns complex technical products quickly and enjoys reasoning about how modern web and AI-native applications are built and scaled
Can speak comfortably with developers and founders, using their language and earning credibility through insight rather than titles
Has strong sales acumen and experience owning revenue outcomes across a range of deal sizes and complexities
Believes that the best revenue outcomes come from deeply successful customers, not transactional selling
Brings a thoughtful, opinionated point of view on modern web infrastructure, frontend performance, and scaling tradeoffs
Thrives in ambiguity and enjoys shaping how a team and motion evolves from early to more structured
Is energized by ownership, accountability, and helping customers make smart decisions
What This Role Is Not
Not a pure Customer Success role focused on reactive support
Not a transactional sales role detached from customer outcomes
Not a highly scripted role with narrow ownership or predefined motions
This role requires judgment, curiosity, and comfort operating across technical, strategic, and commercial dimensions.
Benefits:
Competitive compensation package, including equity.
Inclusive Healthcare Package.
Learn and Grow - we provide mentorship and send you to events that help you build your network and skills.
Flexible Time Off.
We will provide you the gear you need to do your role, and a WFH budget for you to outfit your space as needed.
The San Francisco, CA OTE range for this role is $170,000 - $240,000. Actual salary will be based on job-related skills, experience, and location. Compensation outside of San Francisco may be adjusted based on employee location. The total compensation package may include benefits, equity-based compensation, and eligibility for a company bonus or variable pay program depending on the role. Your recruiter can share more details during the hiring process.

Time to recharge with unlimited PTO
A distributed-first mindset and culture (really!)
Home office, co-working, and internet stipend
Full benefits coverage for employees, with additional coverage available for dependents
Up to 16 weeks of paid parental leave, regardless of path to parenthood
Annual development allowance
And much more...

What We’re Building

Who We Are
We come for the impact, and stay for the culture! We’re a talented, opinionated, passionate, fiercely inclusive, and responsible group of bees. We have conviction and we strive to live
our values
every day. We want our people to do what they truly love amongst a team of highly talented (but humble) peers.
How We Work
We are a fully distributed company, which means we believe it is not where you sit, but how you deliver that matters most. We invest in our people and care about how you orient to our culture and processes. At the same time we imbue a lot of trust, autonomy, and accountability from Day 1. #LI-Remote

scale winning plays and document them for the global SDR team.

facilitating enablement sessions and providing deal‑level coaching.
Surface frontline feedback and competitive intelligence
to Product, Marketing, and RevOps, influencing roadmap and GTM strategy.
Live a growth mindset:
set self‑directed stretch goals and hold yourself accountable to top‑5 % performance standards.
What you’ll bring to the role:
1–3+ years of high‑impact outbound SDR/BDR experience in fast‑growing SaaS, ideally in observability or developer tooling environments or similar.
Proven track record of SQL quota attainment across multiple quarters, with clear examples of net‑new logo generation.
Expertise with modern sales stack: Outreach/Salesloft, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Gong, Salesforce (or comparable CRM).
Fluency in MEDDPICC, COM, Challenger, or similar frameworks; able to lead qualification independently.
Data‑driven approach and mastery of pipeline analytics to inform prioritization and forecasting.
Demonstrated ability to coach peers and raise team performance.
Resilient, curious, and inclusive communicator who thrives in a remote, asynchronous environment.

ABOUT RAMP
Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $200B in annualized spend flows in and out of 70,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.
