The Customer Success Engineer role involves ensuring customers successfully adopt, implement, and scale Algolia's search and discovery platform. Responsibilities include delivering technical onboarding, solution design, best-practice guidance, and hands-on implementation support. The role requires partnering with customers to design scalable solutions, supporting Professional and Expert Foundation offerings, acting as a Technical Owner for assigned accounts, and ensuring smooth delivery through communication, documentation, and stakeholder alignment. Key tasks include consulting customers, delivering technical workshops, advising on search implementation and optimization, collaborating with Customer Success Managers, escalating issues as needed, partnering with Product and Engineering teams, reporting case status, identifying and resolving technical risks, and optimizing customer environments. Requirements: — 4+ years in a customer-facing technical role (CSE, SE, SA, consultant), preferably in SaaS — Functional knowledge of at least one programming language: JavaScript, Java, PHP, C#, Objective-C, Swift, Ruby, Python — Experience with REST API, database management, and web development technologies — Experience delivering technical workshops (training, knowledge transfer, implementation, code review) — Lifelong learning and growth mindset — Ability to explain complex technical concepts to broad audiences — Proficiency in communicating technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences via phone and email — Excellent time management, task prioritization, and situational urgency evaluation — Occasional travel to customer locations may be required Nice to have: — Experience implementing or optimizing search & discovery experiences — Experience designing and developing generative AI and agentic applications — Experience in high-growth SaaS environments — Familiarity with iOS & Android platforms — Experience supporting open-source projects and GitHub communities — Experience with Shopify, Magento, and Salesforce Algolia offers a flexible workplace strategy with options for fully remote or hybrid-remote work.
