They deliver the human judgment, data infrastructure, and evaluation systems that ensure AI models perform reliably across languages, cultures, and real-world contexts, at every stage from training through deployment. Its global network of 500,000+ vetted experts spans 300+ languages and locales, enabling high-quality multilingual data creation and structured model evaluation across the full spectrum of modern AI applications — from large language models and voice and speech systems to agentic workflows and robotics and embodied AI. This breadth of linguistic, cultural, and domain expertise enables Welo Data to address critical AI development challenges, including safety, bias, inclusivity, and cross-lingual reliability. A unified global operating model, led by specialized program and quality experts and grounded in assessment-driven talent selection, localized rubrics, and continuous calibration, ensures consistent performance across languages, domains, and modalities. Underpinning all of this is NIMO™ (Network Identity Management and Operations), Welo Data's proprietary identity and fraud-prevention framework. Built to maintain data integrity and workforce trust across a global contributor base, NIMO combines advanced verification, continuous monitoring, and structured QA to ensure every dataset is accurate, traceable, and culturally grounded. welodata.ai
Role Overview
You own a shift. Not a zone of it, not a function within it — the whole thing. Roughly 140 operators, 13 Cell Leads, and 3 Operations Supervisors collecting robot demonstration data, and you are the single person accountable for what that shift produces, how good it is, and whether everyone goes home safe.
The shift you own runs whether or not the Production Manager is in the building. That's the job: your shift should be indistinguishable in output and quality from the one before it and the one after it.
What You Will Do
Own your shift's production plan end to end — accepted episodes, first-pass acceptance, utilization, and labor efficiency against target.
Manage 2–3 Operations Supervisors; own their performance, their development, and the quality of the Cell Lead bench underneath them.
Run shift start-up, mid-shift review, and a documented handoff — you receive the shift before yours and hand off cleanly to the shift after.
Make the real-time calls: redeploying staff when a cell goes down, resequencing work when a task type stalls, flexing coverage when attendance comes in short.
Own safety on your shift — daily walks, protocol enforcement, incident response, and the expectation that your supervisors use: their stop-work authority.
Partner with Data Quality on your shift's acceptance rate; drive root cause into retraining and process rather than into a rework queue.
Escalate equipment and rig issues to Lab Engineering and keep staffed-but-idle hours visible.
Handle performance management and employee relations escalations from your supervisors, partnering with HR.
Hold California meal, rest, and overtime compliance across every non-exempt employee on your shift.
Report your shift's performance and variance daily, with the explanation and the fix, not just the number.
What Good Looks Like
Your shift hits plan without overtime surprises or last-minute heroics.
Handoffs are clean enough that the next shift starts producing immediately.
Your supervisors make decisions without calling you, and your Cell Leads are being prepared for supervision.
Quality on your shift doesn't vary from the other shifts — consistency is the whole point of this layer.
Problems reach the Production Manager as "here's what happened and here's what I did," not as an open question.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years in production, manufacturing, warehouse, or lab operations, including 2+ years managing supervisors or team leads.
Experience with full accountability for a shift or a production area of 75+ hourly employees.
Track record owning daily output and quality targets, and explaining variance credibly.
Experience with performance management, attendance, and employee relations for a non-exempt workforce.
Working knowledge of California wage and hourly requirements for non-exempt employees.
Available to own an assigned shift (day, swing, or night) onsite in Santa Clara.
Preferred Qualifications
Robotics, hardware, AI data collection, advanced manufacturing, or technical lab background.
Experience in a quality-gated operation where output is inspected before it counts.
Promoted from a supervisor role, or has promoted supervisors from their own team.
Comfort pulling and interpreting your own shift data from dashboards or spreadsheets.
Continuous improvement background — Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent practical experience.
Bilingual (English/Spanish).
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
Onsite robotics lab and warehouse environment; the majority of your shift is spent on the floor.
Assigned shift, with occasional cross-shift coverage during ramps, launches, and handoff issues.
Must be able to stand and walk the floor for extended periods.
Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
Why This Role Matters
Consistency across shifts is what turns a lab into an operation. This role is the reason the third shift produces like the first one, and the reason problems get solved on the floor instead of escalating.
Benefits Included in the Offer:
- Friendly Working Environment
- IT Equipment
- Social Activities
- Global Mobility Policy
- Employee Referral Program
- Employee Assistant Program
- Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
- HSA & FSA
- 401(k) retirement
- Short & Long Term Disability Insurance
- Accident, Critical Illness, Hospital Indemnity Insurance
- Telemedicine Benefit
- Annual Leave
- Paid Public Holidays
- Maternity/Paternity Leave
Hourly Pay: $71-$81/hour.

Role Overview
We're hiring a Senior Manager, Robotics Lab Operations to run the floor. You'll own day-to-day execution across our Santa Clara robotics labs — managing the Lead layer, driving throughput and quality across a 100+ person hourly workforce operating on multiple shifts, and serving as the operational point of contact for the client.
This is a hands-on production leadership role. You're on site, on the floor, and accountable for whether the work ships on time, at quality, and safely. You'll build the management structure that makes a large hourly team run well: clear shift coverage, real supervision, consistent standards, and a team that wants to stay.
What You Will Do
Lead the team
Manage a team of Leads and Supervisors across multiple shifts; own their performance, development, and coverage model.
Oversee 100+ full-time hourly data collection associates, operators, and lab technicians.
Own staffing: headcount planning, scheduling, shift structure, attendance, overtime, and surge coverage.
Partner with recruiting and workforce management on hiring ramps, onboarding, and time-to-productivity.
Handle performance management and employee relations on the floor, partnering with HR on escalations.
Build a floor culture where standards are clear, feedback is normal, and attrition stays low.
Drive operations
Own daily, weekly, and monthly production targets across all lab programs — throughput, quality, and utilization.
Run the operating cadence: shift handoffs, daily standups, huddles, escalation paths, and a shift-to-shift continuity model that actually holds.
Track and report on KPIs — output per shift, quality scores, rework, downtime, fill rate, and labor efficiency.
Identify bottlenecks and lead continuous improvement across workflows, lab layout, equipment usage, and staffing models.
Partner with engineering and program teams on lab setup, new program launches, and capacity planning.
Ensure labs stay safe and compliant in partnership with the Robotics Safety & Compliance Lead; enforce protocols on the floor.
Own the client relationship
Serve as the primary operational contact for the client on-site — status, escalations, change requests, and performance reporting.
Translate client requirements into clear, executable floor instructions and quality standards.
Represent operations in business reviews with clear, data-backed reporting on delivery and risk.
What Good Looks Like
Shifts run consistently whether or not you're in the building.
Hit targets without heroics — predictable throughput, stable quality, controlled labor cost.
Leads those who are growing into stronger managers.
Low attrition and high attendance on a large hourly team.
A client who hears about issues from you first, with a plan attached.
Safety and compliance treated as part of production, not a separate conversation.
Basic Qualifications
7+ years in operations, production, or manufacturing management, including 3+ years managing managers or supervisors.
Direct experience leading 100+ hourly employees in an onsite production, lab, warehouse, fulfillment, or manufacturing environment.
Proven experience running multi-shift operations, including shift scheduling, coverage, and handoff management.
Strong track record owning operational KPIs — throughput, quality, utilization, labor cost.
Experience with workforce planning, performance management, and employee relations for an hourly workforce.
Clear communicator who can move between floor-level direction and executive or client-facing reporting.
Must be able to work onsite in Santa Clara, with flexibility to support multiple shifts as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in robotics, hardware, AV/AI data collection, advanced manufacturing, or technical lab environments.
Experience as the operational owner of a client or customer relationship, including SLA and business review ownership.
Background in a high-growth or rapidly scaling operation — standing up new sites, lines, or programs.
Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
Comfort with operational tooling and data — WFM systems, dashboards, ticketing, or scripting/SQL to pull your own numbers.
Experience managing a non-exempt workforce under California wage and hourly requirements.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus for floor communication.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
Onsite robotics lab and warehouse environment in Santa Clara.
Regular floor presence across shifts; occasional early, late, or weekend coverage during ramps and launches.
Must be able to stand and walk the floor for extended periods.
Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
Fast-paced environment with evolving operational needs.
Why This Role Matters
Our labs are where the data actually gets made. This role makes that work predictable at scale — building the management layer, the operating rhythm, and the team that lets us take on more without losing quality, safety, or our people.
Benefits Included in the Offer:
- Friendly Working Environment
- IT Equipment
- Social Activities
- Global Mobility Policy
- Employee Referral Program
- Employee Assistant Program

The ideal candidate has strong distributed-systems and API-testing experience and maintains disciplined technical evidence capture and traceability. This role is not intended to perform unrestricted adversarial testing. Testing activities will be limited to approved staging environments and pre-approved benign scenarios.
Project Details
• Title: Senior SDET
• Rate: $13.5/hr
• Start Date: 26 October
• Duration: 5 Weeks
• Commitment: 33 Hours per Week
• Location: India (Remote)
• Job Type: Freelance (with the possibility of full-time employment based on performance and project needs)
Responsibilities
• Analyze distributed system APIs to validate correctness, consistency, and failure handling across services involved in account creation, data persistence, and related record-linking
• Execute pre-approved request variations and boundary-validation scenarios using sanitized tracer payloads against designated staging endpoints
• Investigate system behavior under malformed, malicious, or unexpected inputs and document findings clearly
• Capture complete request/response evidence, including HTTP status codes, latency, headers, and payload bodies, subject to approved data-handling requirements
• Validate behavior of near-real-time inline checks (evaluated within milliseconds at the gateway) as distinct from longer-running background verification/risk pipelines (evaluated over minutes to hours), confirming each layer of defense behaves as expected
• Verify data persistence, referential integrity, and correct linkage of related records/relationships written by backend services during processing
• Execute controlled replay suites and compare expected versus observed API behavior
• Correlate replay results with the API schemas and network evidence produced by the Middleware SDET

• Capture and archive test logs and evidence in a structured, retrievable format to support audits and post-incident reviews
• Collaborate with backend engineering teams to reproduce, isolate, and validate fixes for distributed-system defects
• Contribute to test strategy for backend/middleware reliability, including failure-mode and chaos-style testing
• Maintain traceability between test evidence, defects, and system requirements
• Reconcile backend observations with the frontend FSM and middleware/API evidence produced by earlier workstreams
Required Qualifications
• Strong experience of 5-8+ years in testing distributed systems and analyzing inter-service API behavior
• Hands-on experience with request payload tampering, fuzzing, or adversarial API testing techniques
• Understanding of layered defense architectures, including the distinction between synchronous/inline validation and asynchronous/background verification processes
• Familiarity with testing data persistence and relational/hierarchical integrity in backend data stores
• Demonstrated discipline in test log archival, evidence capture, and structured documentation practices
• Solid understanding of backend/middleware architecture, failure modes, and system boundaries
• Familiarity with API testing tools and scripting for building custom fuzzing/tampering test cases
• Strong analytical and investigative skills for root-causing complex, systemic defects
• Experience executing controlled API replay or staging validation is strongly preferred
• Experience correlating API responses with observable application/account lifecycle states is preferred
• Experience supporting audit, compliance, or evidence-based reporting requirements is a plus

Job Overview
Welo Global is hiring an SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) to bring deep technical rigor to middleware-layer testing. This role requires strong technical expertise across gRPC-Web, Proto3, HTTP/2, JSON-RPC/REST, proxy-based traffic inspection, and API scripting. The primary responsibility is to observe and reconstruct the network interactions generated by the onboarding UI, including request/response structures, schemas, headers, identifiers, Enums, and client-injected parameters. This is primarily an API/network analysis and evidence-generation role rather than a conventional UI automation or regression-testing role. The resource will produce sanitized network evidence and controlled, benign tracer replay scripts for downstream backend validation.
Project Details
Title: SDET - API/Middleware
Rate: $9.50/hr

Overview
We are seeking a Lead SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) to provide end-to-end technical governance across all QA layers - frontend, middleware, and backend - for a complex, multi-layered onboarding platform. This role owns the architecture of API contract testing and the data modeling of complex entity relationships (e.g., hierarchical/parent-child style structures), while ensuring that quality assumptions made at one layer (such as client-side validation) are independently verified at every downstream layer rather than trusted at face value. The ideal candidate combines strong technical leadership with the ability to set and enforce delivery governance across cross-functional teams.
Main Responsibilities
• Provide technical governance across frontend, middleware, and backend testing layers
• Establish and enforce QA delivery standards, evidence requirements, review processes, and quality gates
• Review frontend constraint dictionaries and FSM/state-model outputs for completeness and consistency
• Review API schema reconstructions, network evidence, and tracer replay outputs for technical quality and traceability
• Coordinate with QA Analysts, SDETs, and Test Operations Associates to align technical execution with delivery timelines
• Review test architecture decisions, validation approaches, and coverage strategies
• Coordinate dependency resolution, evidence rework, and cross-layer reconciliation throughout the engagement
• Act as the escalation point for cross-layer technical discrepancies and evidence-quality issues
• Compile and quality-check the raw technical evidence dossiers produced by the workstreams
• Identify evidence gaps, inconsistencies, or areas requiring rework before handoff to client stakeholders
• Report on delivery health, technical risks, evidence quality, dependencies, and unresolved gaps
• Prepare the technical evidence package for handoff to the client team responsible for final modelling and logic-gap assessment
• Support technical readout preparation by ensuring that findings are traceable to empirical evidence
Project Details
• Title: Lead SDET
• Start Date: 26th October
• Duration: 4 Months
• Location: India (Remote)
• Job Type: Contractual (with the possibility of a Full-time employment extension based on performance and project needs)
Qualifications
• Proven experience of 8+ years in a QA leadership role spanning multiple testing layers (frontend, middleware, backend)
• Demonstrated expertise in API contract testing architecture and governance
• Practical experience with knowledge graph or entity-relationship data modeling and its application to test/data traceability
• Strong understanding of layered system architectures and the importance of independently verifying quality at each layer rather than relying on upstream assumptions
• Strong track record of technical delivery governance, including setting standards and quality gates
• Excellent cross-functional leadership and stakeholder communication skills
• Deep technical grounding across QA disciplines (manual, automation, systems-level testing) to credibly guide teams at every layer
• Experience mentoring or managing SDETs and QA Analysts
• Experience leading complex multi-week technical QA, API validation, or security-assessment engagements is strongly preferred
• Experience establishing evidence/traceability models across complex technical workflows is preferred
• Familiarity with knowledge graphs, entity-relationship models, or structured technical dependency/evidence modeling is preferred; deep knowledge-graph engineering expertise is not required
• Ability to synthesize technical evidence into concise stakeholder-ready findings and handoff materials

About the Project
Project Hydrus is a scripted and conversational audio data collection project. We're looking for native-level speakers who can deliver natural, everyday-sounding speech — recordings that hold up whether you're reading a script or speaking spontaneously.
Please note: the recordings you produce may be used to create synthesized, AI-generated voices for conversational AI products. Full details on how your data is collected, used, shared, and retained are set out in a Consent Form, which you'll review and sign before any paid session recording begins.
What You'll Do If Selected:
- Two supervised sessions of approximately 4 hours each, guided in real time by a Session Director on a separate recording platform.
- Record scripted material in a natural, conversational tone — faithfully, without a polished, performed, or “announcer” delivery.
- Record unscripted, spontaneous speech on a given topic, matching the same warmth and pace as your scripted takes.
- Set up and manage your own recording space and equipment for session recording.
- Deliver all recordings entirely in the required language (with specific dialect), without code-switching into other languages or dialects.
What We're Looking For
Required
- Experience as a voice actor, actor, or theater performer, or a comparable performance background.
- Native or native-equivalent fluency in the required language (with specific dialect).
- Access to a quiet recording space, free of echo and background noise (acoustically treated for session recording, if selected).
- Owns or will acquire a dedicated, professional-grade microphone for the audition (e.g. RODE NT-USB Mini, Blue Yeti), upgrading to a qualifying USB condenser or XLR mic + audio interface for session recording if selected. Built-in laptop mics, AirPods, earbuds, and headsets are not accepted at any stage.
- Owns closed-back monitoring headphones (required for session recording if selected).
Comfortable both self-directing for the audition and taking live direction from a Session Director in guided sessions.
Preferred (nice to have, not required)
- Professional voice-over experience (dubbing/ADR, audiobook, podcasting) in a conversational rather than commercial/announcer register.
- Baseline audio hygiene: comfortable setting mic distance and catching noise, clipping, or distortion yourself.
- An existing home recording setup already treated for sound.
Commitment & Compensation
- Estimated time: Approximately 8 hours calibration, plus supervision across two recording sessions of ~4 hours each per participant
- Work Type - Freelance Remote
- Rate: $20.00 USD per hour
Your Data & Privacy
Before any session recording, you'll be asked to review and sign a Consent Form covering how your voice recordings are collected, used (including to train synthesized/AI voice models), shared with approved partners, retained, and how to exercise your data rights (access, correction, deletion, and more, depending on where you live). If you'd like to review these terms before applying, contact us and we'll share a copy in advance.
