THE ROLE
Baseten has emerging co-sell relationships with multiple strategic marketplaces and clouds, including OpenAI https://www.baseten.co/talk-to-us/openai/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=paid_search&utm_campaign=acquisition_ICA-OpenAI-Partnership_2026-09-30&utm_term=baseten%20openai&utm_campaign=Search+-+Models&utm_source=adwords&utm_medium=ppc&utm_id=24316507588&hsa_acc=9990356727&hsa_cam=24316507588&hsa_grp=199416272086&hsa_ad=826599669780&hsa_src=g&hsa_tgt=kwd-2504168645905&hsa_kw=baseten%20openai&hsa_mt=e&hsa_net=adwords&hsa_ver=3&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=24316507588&gbraid=0AAAAAqCKh1tZ-ESp-CbtgHnyoj6pkRZGL&gclid=CjwKCAjw56zWBhB0EiwAdPOQOTzW3Bhx_UxkJI6XA8gB1rqClDpNVWFQtTzWlO0RBCV5Xx_yB54yDxoCcd4QAvD_BwE, NVIDIA and other Hyperscalers, Model Labs, and Data Platforms. The task at hand is to enable and activate partner sellers and to ensure that our internal field teams are well-supported to work successful with partner teams.
As Baseten’s Partner Enablement Lead, you'll turn each partnership into a repeatable field motion. You'll work out why a partner account executive should care about Baseten, which of their customers are a fit, and what joint execution looks like. Then you'll co-build what it takes for sellers on both sides to run that play: the value proposition, the account mapping, the talk tracks, the training, and the relationships with partner field leaders.
As always, the work starts with earning partner attention. This is a strategic, hands-on role for an ecosystem GTM operator who peaks in enablement. Your work will include deep cross-functional collaboration, instructional design, content development, and training delivery. You won't own partner-sourced pipeline directly, but you will make those who do much more effective.
Our partnerships span Hyperscalers, Model Labs, Semiconductors, Consulting and Systems Integrators, and Data Platforms. While much of what partner enablement looks will be in your hands to define, it will include getting in front of field sellers, developing co-sell opportunities, and driving adoption of marketplace incentives for customers to buy Baseten against the commitments they already have.
You'll report to the Head of GTM Enablement & Productivity and work closely with our Partnerships, Sales, FDE, Marketing, and RevOps teams.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Design the joint go-to-market motion with strategic partners
- Build a working picture of each partner's field: seller roles, how they're paid and measured, what makes them bring in a third party, and what gets in the way.
- Define joint value propositions, customer triggers, and target segments in partnership with our alliance leads and sales & revops leadership.
- Turn those into co-sell plays with clear entry points, owners, and next steps for both sides.
- Run account mapping with partner teams so the plays land on specific accounts, not just slides.
Activate partner field teams
- Activate partner sellers and their managers to be aware of Baseten, confident in when to pull us in, and motivated to do so.
- Build relationships with partner field leaders, partner development managers, and ISV teams so enablement reaches the sellers who matter.
- Plan and run activations by region and segment: field briefings, account planning sessions, joint office hours, and events alongside our partnerships team.
- Teach both sides how marketplace and co-sell mechanics work, so those programs make deals simpler and faster to execute.
Enable Baseten's own sellers on partner motions
- Make sure our AEs, SAs, and FDEs know how to work a partner-sourced or co-sell deal: how to engage the partner rep, how attribution and credit work, and which plays to run.
- Build or collate the playbooks, demos, and certifications our team needs, and keep them current as each partnership changes.
- Bring partner content into our onboarding and GTM Academy so new hires learn the partner motion from day one.
Measure and evolve programs
- Define how we measure activation: trained and engaged partner sellers, joint account plans, co-sell opportunities registered, and partner-influenced pipeline.
- Work with RevOps on the operational side of partner programs, including deal registration, marketplace private offers, and POC and MDF requests.
- Report monthly to GTM leadership on what's working, what isn't, and advise on where to invest next.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years in partner or alliance GTM, partner enablement, or field GTM at a cloud, data, AI, or infrastructure company.
- Hands-on experience activating co-sell with at least one hyperscaler or major platform partner (Microsoft, AWS, Google Cloud, NVIDIA, or similar).
- You think in pipeline and seller behavior as well as in curriculum. You can explain a joint motion end to end, from partner incentives to the first customer meeting.
- Enough technical depth to be credible with SAs and engineers on both sides. You don't need to be an ML engineer, but you should be comfortable learning inference, model serving, and GPU and token economics quickly.
- You want to build: the play, the deck, the training, the measurement plan. You don't stop at the framework.
- Comfortable working across teams you don't control, inside Baseten and inside partner organizations much larger than ours.
Strong candidates may come from a mix of backgrounds such as:
- Cloud alliances or partner GTM at a data or infrastructure ISV that co-sells with the hyperscalers.
- ISV, partner development, or marketplace roles inside a hyperscaler or NVIDIA.
- Partner enablement leadership at a technical company, with a track record tied to pipeline rather than training volume.
- A partner-facing SA or SE who moved into enablement or GTM strategy.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with Microsoft co-sell programs, Azure Marketplace, or NVIDIA's partner and ISV programs.
- Experience at an AI infrastructure, model provider, or developer platform company.
- Built a partner function or partner enablement program from scratch at a growth-stage company.
BENEFITS
- Competitive compensation, including meaningful equity
- (U.S. only) 100% coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance for employee and dependents
- Flexible PTO policy including company wide Winter Break (our offices are closed from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day!)
- Paid parental leave
- Fertility and family-building stipend through Carrot
- (U.S. only) Company-facilitated 401(k)
- Exposure to a variety of ML startups, offering unparalleled learning and networking opportunities.

Join us and help build the platform engineers turn to ship AI products.
THE ROLE
Container runtimes were designed for general-purpose software workloads. AI inference is not a general-purpose workload.
Running large models at production scale exposes cracks in every layer of the container stack: runtimes unaware of GPU memory constraints, images that take minutes to pull when a model needs to scale to thousands of replicas, and isolation mechanisms that weren’t designed for the multi-tenant serving environments that production AI requires. The tools the industry has relied on for a decade weren’t built for this, and patching around those limitations at higher layers only goes so far.
Baseten owns the entire pipeline, from the moment a developer pushes a model to the moment a request gets a response. That vertical ownership means we can fix these problems at the root. The Runtime Fabric team is doing exactly that: purpose-building the container runtime and storage layers for AI inference workloads, led by some of the world’s top containerd maintainers.
As Engineering Manager for Storage Products on the Runtime Fabric team, you will lead the engineers who build and run the storage products behind that stack: the Baseten Delivery Network (BDN), which sits in the cold start path of every model on the platform, the snapshotters and filesystems that expose model weights and container images to a running container, and the storage that model deployment and training need next. The team is advancing the next generation of caching for inference workloads, from the origin tier to the GPU host. You will own reliability for the area as a measured outcome, report to the head of Runtime Fabric, and stay close to the code through design and code review. If you’ve managed systems engineers and have hands-on experience with caching, content-addressable storage, or distributed filesystems, we’d love to talk.
EXAMPLE INITIATIVES
- How the Baseten Delivery Network (BDN) makes cold starts fast https://www.baseten.co/blog/how-the-baseten-delivery-network-bdn-makes-cold-starts-fast/
- Extending BDN from model weights to container image layers, training checkpoints, and deployment artifacts
- Lazy-loading snapshotters and block-level delivery (EROFS, FUSE, ublk) so a container can start before the full image or model has arrived
RESPONSIBILITIES
Team Leadership and Culture
- Hire and grow a team of 5 to 10 systems engineers with storage, caching, and Linux expertise
- Run the team’s planning and delivery: scope work against the Runtime Fabric roadmap, set priorities, and ship on a predictable cadence
- Provide regular coaching, feedback, and career development support to your direct reports
- Own on-call health for the team’s services, including escalation paths and follow-through on incidents
Technical Direction
- Guide the architecture and evolution of the Baseten Delivery Network: the tiered caching and weight delivery product that makes cold starts 2-3x faster and eliminates thundering herd failures during burst scaling events
- Shape storage products tailored to Baseten’s workloads: extend BDN from model weights to container images, training checkpoints, and deployment artifacts, and define the interfaces that model deployment, training, and customers use to reach them
- Oversee the on-host side of delivery: lazy-loading snapshotters, EROFS and overlayfs layouts, and block-level delivery (FUSE, ublk) for multi-gigabyte files
- Own reliability of the delivery path as a measured outcome: end-to-end instrumentation from snapshotter initialization to first inference request, targets for cold start and cache behavior, tolerance for failing upstream registries and object stores, and safe rollout of changes to a path every customer depends on
- Make the delivery path work across heterogeneous clusters and cloud providers, each with its own object store and network
- Review designs and code across the area, and take on hands-on work where it unblocks the team
- Champion the team’s contributions back to containerd and the snapshotter ecosystem alongside the maintainers on the Runtime Fabric team
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Act as the point of contact for storage across Baseten, ensuring model deployment, training, and platform teams have the integration support they need
- Optimize requirements for the underlying storage platforms with the infrastructure team: object storage, local NVMe and block storage, and network bandwidth per cluster, so that capacity and provider decisions account for what the delivery path needs
- Manage the team’s dependencies in both directions: sequence work that model deployment, training, and infrastructure teams block on, and negotiate interfaces and timelines with the teams and upstream projects the storage path depends on
- Work with the head of Runtime Fabric and product stakeholders to prioritize storage investments based on customer impact and infrastructure reliability
- Communicate team progress, technical trade-offs, and incidents clearly to the team and to leadership
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience managing a team of engineers in a systems, infrastructure, or storage context, including hiring and performance management [TODO: confirm whether a tech lead stepping into management qualifies]
- Hands-on background in distributed storage systems, content-addressable storage, or large-scale caching infrastructure
- Strong systems programming background in Go, Rust, and/or C/C++, with the ability to engage credibly in code reviews and architectural discussions
- Working knowledge of the Linux storage stack: filesystems, the page cache, block devices, and mounts
- Understanding of how container images are structured, stored, and delivered at scale
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence without authority across teams
NICE TO HAVE
- Contributions to containerd/containerd, snapshotter projects (stargz, soci, nydus, overlaybd), distribution/distribution, or closely related open-source projects
- Familiarity with lazy-loading snapshotters or peer-to-peer image distribution
- Experience with EROFS, FUSE, ublk, or io_uring
- Experience building or operating CDN, object storage, or large-scale caching infrastructure
- Experience running storage services on Kubernetes
BENEFITS
- Competitive compensation, including meaningful equity
- (U.S. only) 100% coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance for employee and dependents
- Flexible PTO policy including company wide Winter Break (our offices are closed from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day!)
- Paid parental leave
- Fertility and family-building stipend through Carrot
- (U.S. only) Company-facilitated 401(k)
- Exposure to a variety of ML startups, offering unparalleled learning and networking opportunities.

THE ROLE
We're hiring a Sales Manager to build and lead a team of Enterprise Account Executives. Enterprise at Baseten means the companies with the most to gain from AI and the most complexity in getting there: large digital natives running products at massive scale, and category leaders in software, financial services, and healthcare. They have the data, the distribution, and the budget. Most are still deciding what to build, what to run themselves, and what it should cost.
You'll recruit and develop reps, run deals alongside them while the team ramps, and contribute to the playbook for how Baseten wins enterprise. It's a high-influence seat, close to our founders and GTM leadership.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Recruit, hire, and ramp a team of Enterprise sellers
- Coach reps through long, multi-stakeholder cycles: multithreading across buying committees, navigating security and procurement, and closing seven- and eight-figure deals
- Raise the bar on consultative selling. Your reps should be advising customers on AI strategy, not just running a product evaluation
- Partner on shaping and executing go-to-market strategy for your territory, including which verticals to attack first
- Operate as a player-coach, carrying deals yourself while the team builds
- Stay deep enough on the product to guide reps through technical evaluations, POCs, and architecture reviews alongside our forward-deployed engineers
- Work with Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Legal to turn enterprise requirements into roadmap and GTM input
- Build a culture of accountability, learning, and collaboration
REQUIREMENTS
- 8+ years of closing experience, with 2+ years managing high-performing teams
- Proven success in Enterprise sales, closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals inside large organizations
- Experience selling into large digital natives or regulated industries (financial services, healthcare/life sciences, insurance, public sector)
- A track record of recruiting strong sellers, ideally on a new or early-stage team
- Strong technical acumen, ideally in AI infrastructure, cloud infrastructure, or developer platforms. You're comfortable in the weeds
- Willingness to sell as well as manage while the team is small
- Based in New York and able to be in office at least 3 days per week (Tuesday to Thursday)
BENEFITS
- Competitive compensation, including meaningful equity
- (U.S. only) 100% coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance for employee and dependents
- Flexible PTO policy including company wide Winter Break (our offices are closed from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day!)
- Paid parental leave
- Fertility and family-building stipend through Carrot
- (U.S. only) Company-facilitated 401(k)
- Exposure to a variety of ML startups, offering unparalleled learning and networking opportunities.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, Product, and Operations teams to embed compliance and risk management into day-to-day operations and technical processes.
- Customer Trust & Assurance: Support customer security questionnaires, due diligence efforts, and documentation requests from prospective and existing clients.
- Training & Awareness: Develop and deliver security and compliance training to ensure company-wide understanding of key policies and responsibilities.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current on evolving regulatory requirements and lead initiatives to mature our compliance and risk management programs.
REQUIREMENTS
- BS Degree in CS, CE, MIS or equivalent field
- 5+ years of experience in GRC, Security Compliance, or Information Security roles, ideally in a SaaS or cloud-native environment.
- Strong understanding of security frameworks and standards such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR.
- Proven track record managing compliance audits and certification programs end-to-end.
- Experience working directly with leaders and executives within Enterprise organizations
- Experience working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders to implement compliance and security controls.
- Proven experience driving product compliance by translating regulatory and customer requirements into actionable product controls with Engineering and Product
- Experience defining project requirements and driving implementation by translating compliance objectives into clear deliverables, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, and managing execution through completion.
- Experience responding to customer security questionnaires and leading customer security interviews, with the ability to clearly communicate security controls, compliance posture, and risk management practices to technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment while maintaining structure and process discipline.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with cloud security compliance in AWS or GCP environments.
- Hands-on experience using GRC tools (e.g., Vanta, Drata, Secureframe, Anecdotes).
- Understanding of AI/ML security considerations, data privacy, and model governance.
- Previous experience building and implementing security controls in an early-stage or rapidly growing startup.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISA, CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer).
BENEFITS

THE ROLE
This role sits at the applied end of our post-training research efforts. You will work directly with stakeholders from the world’s fastest-growing AI companies to post-train open-source models that outperform frontier closed models on their specialised tasks. Your day-to-day is finding creative ways to extract signal from complex, domain-specific datasets and building the reward functions, environments, eval harnesses, and training pipelines that turn that signal into better models. The models you train ship to production and reach millions of users.
We are looking for people with hands-on LLM fine-tuning and RL experience. Researchers who are excited by the prospect of shipping models into production, who can translate a customer's domain-specific requirements into an effective training curriculum, and who know when to be rigorous and when to iterate fast.
RECENT RESEARCH
- Dense, on-policy or both? https://www.baseten.co/research/dense-on-policy-or-both/
- Repeated kv cache for long-running agents https://www.baseten.co/research/repeated-kv-cache-for-long-running-agents/
- Distillation without the dark – replicating black-box on-policy distillation on Baseten https://www.baseten.co/research/distillation-without-the-dark/
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and run post-training pipelines: SFT, GRPO, DPO, RLVR, reward function engineering, and synthetic data generation.
- Build task-specific training environments and evals tailored to customer domains like healthcare, code generation, and legal, spanning multi-turn tool use, sandboxed execution, and agentic workflows.
- Work directly with customers to translate production data into training signal, designing reward loops from real usage patterns and handling distribution shift.
- Run and analyze training experiments end-to-end: diagnose reward hacking, importance sampling drift, and advantage estimation instabilities.
- Publish findings at top venues and contribute to Baseten's open-source training libraries.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Hands-on experience training LLMs with reinforcement learning — demonstrated understanding of GRPO or PPO beyond recipe-level reproduction, including group advantage computation, clipped objectives, and KL penalty design
- Strong intuition for reward engineering: the ability to distinguish between a reward that trains effectively and one that will exploit at scale
- Experience building multi-turn agent environments with tool use, not limited to single-turn question-answering setups
- Comfort working across the full pipeline from dataset construction through training, evaluation, and deployment
- Experience with production ML systems. Preference for candidates who have closed a training–inference loop where production data feeds back into model improvement
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with RL training frameworks
- Publications at NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, focused on RL for LLMs, reward modeling, or alignment
BENEFITS
- Competitive compensation, including meaningful equity
- (U.S. only) 100% coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance for employee and dependents
- Flexible PTO policy including company wide Winter Break (our offices are closed from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day!)
- Paid parental leave
- Fertility and family-building stipend through Carrot
- (U.S. only) Company-facilitated 401(k)
- Exposure to a variety of ML startups, offering unparalleled learning and networking opportunities.

We're looking for an Engineering Manager to lead part of our Inference Performance team. This team makes the world's most demanding AI workloads run faster and more efficiently on GPUs. You'll manage and grow a team of inference performance engineers working across the inference engine and runtime: kernels, scheduling, batching, KV-cache management, speculative decoding and prefill/decode disaggregation. This is a hands-on technical leadership role. You'll set direction, unblock hard problems and earn the team's trust by going deep on GPU performance, while also hiring, developing and supporting the people doing the work. Your team's output directly affects how fast our customers' models run and how efficiently we serve them. The team is scaling quickly, so you'll help shape how it is structured as it grows.
EXAMPLE INITIATIVES
Your team will work on these types of projects as part of our Inference Runtime team:
- Agentic inference optimization: 50-90% faster engines https://www.baseten.co/blog/agentic-inference-optimization-faster-than-sota/

- Drive the productionization of inference techniques such as quantization, speculative decoding, KV-cache reuse, chunked prefill and custom scheduling.
- Turn performance wins into measurable outcomes: tokens per GPU-hour, utilization, latency and cost.
- Help the team bring up and tune new model architectures on new hardware quickly, often in the same week they're released.
- Partner with Infrastructure, Inference Platform, Kernels, Model APIs and customer-facing teams to set priorities, coordinate launches and ship wins.
- Set high standards for engineering quality, benchmarking, operational excellence and incident response.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

THE ROLE
We're looking for distributed systems engineers and product-minded generalists to build the distributed runtime that powers large-scale LLM inference on Baseten. Our inference platform empowers customers to deploy and operate cutting-edge models with industry-leading performance, scalability, and reliability. It also powers Model APIs, our hosted endpoints for the latest open-source models. You'll work across the stack, from the developer experience customers use to deploy models, through the libraries behind features like tool calling and reasoning, down to the systems that orchestrate deployments on Kubernetes and route traffic efficiently. Your job is to make sure every model on our platform is fast, reliable, and cost-efficient. You'll join a small, high-impact team at the intersection of distributed systems, model performance, infrastructure, and product, helping define how developers use AI models at scale. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy owning systems in production, solving hard integration problems, and making complex infrastructure simple and reliable for users.
EXAMPLE INITIATIVES
You'll get to work on these types of projects on our Inference Platform:
- The Baseten Inference Stack at NVIDIA Dynamo Day https://www.baseten.co/blog/nvidia-dynamo-day-baseten-inference-stack/
- 2x faster inference with KV cache-aware routing https://www.baseten.co/blog/how-baseten-achieved-2x-faster-inference-with-nvidia-dynamo/

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build the infrastructure and orchestration systems that deploy and run large-scale distributed LLM inference, including routing, autoscaling, scheduling, and runtime management.
- Design, build, and operate Model APIs, with a focus on advanced inference capabilities: structured outputs (JSON mode, grammar-constrained generation), tool/function calling, and multimodal serving.
- Implement platform fundamentals such as API versioning, validation, usage metering, quotas, and authentication.
- Instrument deep observability (metrics, traces, logs) and build repeatable benchmarks for speed, reliability, and quality. Help set best practices for testing, release automation, and operational excellence.
- Debug and harden complex production systems spanning Kubernetes, distributed runtimes, networking, and GPU workloads to improve reliability and scalability.
- Partner with Inference Performance engineers and other teams to make new optimizations broadly available to customers and easy to configure.
- Own projects end to end, from architecture through deployment, monitoring, and iteration on customer feedback. Along the way, make thoughtful tradeoffs between performance, reliability, operational simplicity, and developer experience.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years building and operating distributed systems, backend infrastructure, or large-scale APIs where reliability, latency, and scale are first-class concerns.
- A proven track record of owning low-latency, reliable backend services, including rate limiting, auth, quotas, metering, and migrations.
- Infrastructure instincts with a feel for performance: profiling, tracing, capacity planning, and SLO management.
- Comfort debugging performance and reliability issues across multiple layers of the stack, from application behavior down to runtime and infrastructure internals.

- Eagerness to learn new languages, frameworks, and systems, and a real interest in inference engineering. Prior ML or LLM experience isn't required, though experience with model serving or inference systems is a plus.
- Excellent written communication and collaboration skills, including writing clear design docs and working across functions.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with or contributions to LLM inference engines and frameworks such as vLLM, SGLang, TensorRT-LLM, TGI, or Dynamo.
- Deep Kubernetes experience, including operators and custom resources, plus familiarity with service meshes or API gateways.
- Experience with distributed scheduling, autoscaling, or service orchestration.
- Experience operating GPU workloads in production.
- A background in developer-facing infrastructure or APIs, or contributions to open-source infrastructure or ML systems.
- Familiarity with observability tooling, CI/CD systems, or release automation.
BENEFITS
- Competitive compensation, including meaningful equity
- (U.S. only) 100% coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance for employee and dependents

We’re looking for a high-performing strategic finance professional to join our growing Product Finance team. Training is one of Baseten's fastest-evolving businesses and it won't be the last new product line we launch. You'll own the economics of Training end to end and be the finance owner for new products as they go from idea to launch to scale, partnering directly with Product, Engineering, Infrastructure, and GTM leadership on the pricing, margin, and capacity decisions that shape each business. This is a builder role: much of what you'll own doesn't exist yet as a model, a dashboard, or a process.
This role is ideal for someone with 5 to 8 years of experience across strategic finance, investing, and/or investment banking who wants broad exposure to company-building inside a fast-scaling AI infrastructure company. Experience at a usage-based company is a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES

- Run the monthly Training business review across bookings, utilization, margin, pipeline, and renewal and expansion trends
- Own the Training forecast and annual plan, including compute needs, unit costs, and multi-year P&L
- Partner with Product on new products from concept onward, building pre-launch business cases, cost-to-serve views, and go/no-go recommendations
- Set launch pricing and packaging for new products
- Define success metrics and scale criteria at launch
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Economics
- 5+ years of experience in strategic finance at a high-growth company, PE/VC investing, and/or investment banking
- Excellent financial modeling and analytical skills, including building unit economics or cost-to-serve models from raw usage and cost data
- Ability to synthesize complex information into clear recommendations for executives
- Comfortable building from scratch and making decisions with incomplete data in a fast-moving environment
- Strong attention to detail with a bias toward ownership and execution
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- High intellectual curiosity and interest in AI / infrastructure / developer tooling
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills; familiarity with SQL or BI tools is a plus

THE ROLE
Baseten is growing fast, and how we hire shapes what we become. As our Recruiting Operations Program Manager, you'll find where the recruiting team is losing time or quality, confirm it with data, and build and run the program that fixes it. Some of that work is quick, like a data pull for leadership or an Ashby answer for a recruiter. Some of it spans months and needs executive buy-in.
You'll identify, build and own programs end to end, from redesigning core recruiting processes to building and shipping AI-powered tools that change how our recruiters work every day. You'll work across Ashby, Notion, Slack, and Claude, and treat AI as a core part of how recruiting runs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Break large, ambiguous problems into clear phases, owners, and deadlines, and drive them through to adoption, not just launch.
- Lead large-scale recruiting programs end to end: secure leadership buy-in, manage timelines across stakeholders, and use data to decide what to change and how to measure it.
- Analyze interview plans, pass-through rates, stage timing, and interviewer load in Ashby, and turn findings into concrete recommendations.
- Own data hygiene and job setup consistency across the pipeline so leadership can trust recruiting reporting, and build the dashboards and reports the team relies on.
- Support operational asks from recruiters and leadership, and turn repeated asks into self-serve tools or documented answers.
- Build, pilot, and iterate on Claude-powered tools and workflows that solve recurring pain points across the recruiting team.
- Keep recruiting documentation – including interview guides, playbooks, SOPs, and training material – current, monitored, and easy to find.
- Propose and roll out process changes that make recruiting faster and more consistent, including the comms and training that make them stick.
REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years in recruiting operations, program management, or a related operations role at a fast-growing company.
- Track record of running cross-functional projects end to end, including getting buy-in from senior leaders.
- Comfort pulling, analyzing, and presenting data, and turning it into clear recommendations.
- Clear, concise writing, including for executive audiences.
- Strong prioritization skills, with the ability to balance long-running programs with day-to-day asks.
NICE TO HAVE
- Hands-on Ashby experience, especially reporting and dashboards, or deep experience with another ATS, including using data and metrics to drive decisions and set priorities.
- Experience building workflows or tools with AI (Claude, ChatGPT, or similar).
BENEFITS
- Competitive compensation, including meaningful equity
- (U.S. only) 100% coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance for employee and dependents
- Flexible PTO policy including company wide Winter Break (our offices are closed from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day!)

ABOUT BASETEN
Baseten powers mission-critical inference for the world's most dynamic AI companies, like Cursor, Notion, OpenEvidence, Abridge, Clay, Gamma, and Writer. By uniting applied AI research, flexible infrastructure, and seamless developer tooling, we enable companies operating at the frontier of AI to bring cutting-edge models into production. We're growing quickly and recently raised our $1.5B Series F https://www.baseten.co/blog/announcing-our-series-f/, led by Altimeter Capital, Conviction Partners, and Spark Capital. Join us and help build the platform engineers turn to ship AI products.
THE ROLE
The AI ecosystem is being built by many companies at once: model labs creating increasingly capable models, hyperscalers providing infrastructure and distribution, developers building new AI products, and a growing ecosystem of tools that agents can use.
Baseten sits at the center of that ecosystem as the inference platform developers use to run AI in production. Partner Engineering is how we connect those worlds.
As one of the first engineers focused on Partner Engineering at Baseten, you'll build the technical foundation behind some of our most strategic relationships. You'll work directly with engineers at leading model labs, hyperscalers, developer platforms, and AI infrastructure companies to turn partnerships into products developers can actually use.
You don't need a previous partner engineering title. We want an engineer who enjoys working directly with another company's technical team and carrying the resulting product decisions into production at Baseten.
WHAT YOU'LL BUILD
- Bring new capabilities into Baseten. Integrate a search or developer-tools provider into Baseten so an agent can call the service during inference, with consistent authentication, execution, failure handling, observability, and usage reporting.
- Take Baseten into new distribution channels. Integrate Baseten with a hyperscaler, cloud marketplace, or developer platform so customers can discover models, provision access, and run inference through a partner's product while Baseten handles the underlying serving infrastructure.
- Launch models with leading model labs. Build the infrastructure that lets developers discover and run a model lab's newest models on Baseten, including access controls, usage attribution, metering, and the systems required to support commercial agreements such as revenue sharing.
- Create the partner platform itself. Identify the primitives common across these integrations and turn them into reusable platform capabilities so we can launch increasingly sophisticated partnerships without reinventing the stack every time.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
- Lead strategic partner integrations from technical discovery and architecture through implementation, launch, and production operation.
- Work directly with partner engineering teams to design APIs, define system boundaries, resolve cross-company dependencies, and make architectural decisions.
- Write substantial production code and own the systems you build.
- Build reusable partner-platform primitives across identity, provisioning, inference, model serving, metering, billing, and other Baseten platform capabilities.
- Own technical delivery across Baseten and partner teams, including milestones, dependencies, risks, and architectural tradeoffs.
- Work closely with Partnerships and Product to understand where the ecosystem is going and translate emerging opportunities into platform investments.
- Raise the bar for integration reliability through strong API contracts, testing, observability, safe rollouts, and thoughtful failure handling.
- Help define what Partner Engineering becomes at Baseten as both the team and our ecosystem grow.
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience designing, shipping, and operating large-scale distributed systems in production. You can explain the architectural choices you made and how they meet customers' needs at scale.
- A record of leading ambiguous engineering projects across teams while contributing substantial production code yourself.
- Sound judgment about API design, service boundaries, and failure handling. You've built systems that uphold API contracts and meet measurable service-level objectives that customers and partners depend on.
- Experience turning requests from customers, partners, or other engineering teams into a defined technical scope. You can explain a constraint, propose an alternative, and document the decision.
- Comfort working across application code and cloud infrastructure, including debugging behavior that crosses service boundaries.
NICE TO HAVE
- Product integrations with cloud providers, developer platforms, or other infrastructure companies.
- Usage metering, marketplace infrastructure, or commerce systems that support relationships among multiple parties.
- Model serving or other artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure used in production.
BENEFITS
- Competitive compensation, including meaningful equity
- (U.S. only) 100% coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance for employee and dependents
- Flexible PTO policy including company wide Winter Break (our offices are closed from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day!)
- Paid parental leave
- Fertility and family-building stipend through Carrot
- (U.S. only) Company-facilitated 401(k)
- Exposure to a variety of ML startups, offering unparalleled learning and networking opportunities.

Like a great EA managing an executive’s calendar, you will constantly look ahead, spot conflicts, and adjust the puzzle.
You’ll be part of a growing, highly collaborative team that works together to raise the bar for how we support Baseten. The team shares context, jumps in to support one another, and continuously looks for ways to improve how we operate. As Baseten grows, you’ll have opportunities to take on new challenges and expand your scope.

- Build enough context on our teams and business to make good judgment calls when space is constrained
- Maintain an exceptionally high bar for the physical office, noticing and addressing details like rooms that need resetting, missing furniture, broken equipment, and low supplies
- Proactively identify ways to make our spaces more functional, organized, and enjoyable
- Build strong relationships across the office to understand and anticipate team needs
- Partner with the Office Manager with physical office operations, vendors, deliveries, supplies, and other workplace needs
- Support in-office events, including setup, logistics, and resetting spaces afterward
- Respond quickly to workplace needs and own issues through resolution
- Manage mail, packages, and shipping with accuracy
REQUIREMENTS
- Exceptionally detail-oriented, with a high quality bar and an instinct for noticing what others miss. Proactive and observant, with a bias toward identifying and solving problems before being asked.
- Highly organized and able to manage changing calendars, constraints, requests, and priorities without dropping details
- Strong judgment and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand context and make thoughtful tradeoffs
- Clear, responsive communicator who reliably keeps people informed and closes loops
- High ownership mentality. When you take something on, others trust that you’ve got it
- Strong relationship builder who gets to know teams and uses that context to anticipate their needs
- Service-oriented and energized by creating an excellent experience for employees and visitors
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where needs change frequently
- Able and excited to work from our New York office five days per week
BENEFITS
- Competitive compensation, including meaningful equity

THE ROLE
We’re looking for a Corporate Accounting Manager to support the general ledger, the close, and our accounting processes and controls as Baseten scales. This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role for someone who wants full ownership of the core accounting function at a company where the entity structure, transaction volume, and reporting requirements are growing quickly.
You’ll join the corporate accounting team and take on the general ledger, vendor contract review, the close calendar, and our internal control environment as the business grows. We are focused on tightening close procedures, strengthening controls, and building reporting rigor to support the scale ahead. You’ll partner closely with FP&A, Data, and cross-functional partners to make sure the books close on time and accurately every cycle.
Baseten is building the infrastructure layer for AI-native companies, and we're scaling quickly - in headcount, entity structure, transaction volume, and contract complexity and volume and vendor size. If you want real ownership over a growing function on a lean team, this role offers real scope.
RESPONSIBILITIES
General Ledger and Financial Reporting
- Own day-to-day execution of general ledger journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly financial statement preparation as the entity structure grows
- Own recurring close areas, including accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and equity compensation
- Lead month-end and year-end close, setting the calendar and holding FP&A, Data, and cross-functional partners so the books close on time every cycle
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements and flux analysis for accounting and finance leadership
- Identify and automate the manual, error-prone steps that slow the close down
Controls and Audit
- Partner directly with cross-functional teams and external auditors to keep internal controls tight and the company audit-ready
- Own audit deliverables, including technical accounting memos, schedules, and sample testing support
Systems and Cross-Functional Partnership
- Support day-to-day administration and maintenance of our accounting systems stack, including NetSuite and our spend management platform, and push for automation over manual workarounds
- Partner with FP&A on reporting, forecasting inputs, and variance analysis
- Support FP&A, Legal, and Procurement on the accounting implications of new entities, contracts, and programs
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years focused specifically on corporate accounting, general ledger, and close management
- Deep working knowledge of US GAAP across core corporate accounting areas, including accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, debt and leases
- Hands-on experience owning account reconciliations and preparing monthly financial statements
- Experience owning the close calendar directly, not just contributing to a close run by someone else
- Public company or audit-ready private company experience (Big 4 or industry, with audit exposure)
- Builder mentality with a bias toward execution; comfortable operating on a lean team relative to company scale
- Experience with NetSuite (or comparable ERP) and a modern spend management platform
- Based in San Francisco or New York, with the ability to work in-person 3+ days per week
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience at a high-growth, venture-backed infrastructure or cloud company
- Experience supporting multi-entity or international consolidations
- Integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact
- CPA
- Exposure to SOX or SOX-readiness controls work
BENEFITS
- Competitive compensation, including meaningful equity
- (U.S. only) 100% coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance for employee and dependents
- Flexible PTO policy including company wide Winter Break (our offices are closed from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day!)

- Exposure to a variety of ML startups, offering unparalleled learning and networking opportunities.
