Senior Product Engineer

Responsibilities: — Write and review code while maintaining hands-on engineering involvement. — Coach junior and mid-level engineers, providing actionable feedback and fostering technical judgment. — Take formal people management responsibilities including regular 1:1s, setting development goals, and discussing performance. — Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and other Engineers to deliver pragmatic solutions. — Grow into project leadership by clarifying scope, coordinating implementation, surfacing risks, and helping the team deliver. Requirements: — Senior-level engineering skills with ability to independently build and ship production software, debug systems, and review code thoughtfully. — Flexibility to work across frontend and backend technologies, approximately 50/50 or 80/20 split. — Experience coaching engineers with demonstrated impact beyond occasional onboarding or code reviews. — Willingness to take on full people leadership responsibilities over time, including addressing performance issues. — Fluent written and spoken English. — Comfortable with startup ambiguity and collaborative judgment.
