-6-8+ years building full-stack products, including time as the senior person on the work. -Strong relational database skills, Postgres or MySQL: schema design, indexing, query tuning, transactions, and what actually happens under load.
Responsibilities:
— Develop full-stack products with deep expertise in Node.js and TypeScript, maintaining production services you designed.
— Design and optimize relational database schemas, indexing, query tuning, and transactions using Postgres or MySQL.
— Work with non-relational databases such as Redis and MongoDB, including caching and invalidation.
— Handle queues and streaming technologies like Kinesis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS, BullMQ, managing failure modes such as ordering, duplicates, replay, and consumer lag.
— Develop front-end interfaces using Vue, React, or Angular, focusing on component architecture, state management, and progressive web apps.
— Build real-time interfaces using websockets, ideally socket.io.
— Debug complex production failures effectively.
— Work with parts of the platform written in PHP.
— Deploy scalable services that tolerate failures and dynamically adjust capacity.
— Collaborate daily with teams in the United States and Israel, explaining technical decisions.
— Integrate AI tooling throughout the engineering lifecycle for codebase mapping, design pressure testing, and automated PR reviews.
— Engage proactively with large, complex, unfamiliar codebases.
— Ensure maintainability with clear boundaries, readable code, tests, and observability.
— Consider user experience carefully, especially under high-pressure scenarios.
— Take ownership of problems fully, including areas beyond assigned tasks.
Requirements:
— 6 to 8+ years of experience building full-stack products, including senior-level responsibilities.
— Strong expertise in Node.js and TypeScript.
— Proficient with relational databases (Postgres or MySQL) and non-relational stores (Redis, MongoDB).
— Experience with queue and streaming systems (Kinesis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS, BullMQ).
— Front-end skills with Vue, React, or Angular.
— Experience with real-time interfaces using websockets/socket.io.
— Ability to debug complex production issues.
— Familiarity with PHP codebases.
— Experience deploying scalable, fault-tolerant services.
— Comfortable working with AI tools in software engineering.
— Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
