As a Developer Experience Engineer at Ritual, you will architect and build the foundational tools that enable developers to efficiently build on our infrastructure. Design and implement best-in-class development frameworks that do for AI-enabled chains what Foundry did for the EVM.
Responsibilities:
— Architect and build foundational tools enabling developers to efficiently build on Ritual's AI and blockchain infrastructure.
— Design and implement best-in-class development frameworks for AI-enabled chains.
— Identify friction points in the developer journey and develop solutions.
— Build fast local development environments for seamless testing.
— Create elegant CLIs and SDKs for AI and blockchain interactions.
— Develop tooling for deploying and testing AI-enabled smart contracts.
— Design powerful debugging and simulation capabilities.
— Write clear documentation and tutorials.
— Run workshops and hackathons to engage the developer community.
— Build and nurture an active open-source community around development tools.
Requirements:
— Strong experience with at least one of Rust, TypeScript, or Python.
— Past contributions to open-source projects and libraries.
— Proven ability to build developer tools favored by developers.
— Deep understanding of EVM architecture and smart contract development.
— Experience with modern AI development workflows and MLOps tools.
— Strong knowledge of container technologies and deployment patterns.
— Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly in writing and speaking.
— Ability to act quickly under pressure and manage frequent context switching.
— High level of ownership, self-direction, and excellent communication skills.
— Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Nice to have:
— Experience maintaining or contributing to popular blockchain tools (e.g., Foundry, Anvil).
— Experience building compiler toolchains or language infrastructure.
— Background in AI infrastructure and model deployment tooling.
— Experience with build systems and package management.
— Experience growing developer communities through content and evangelism.
— Deep knowledge of distributed systems and consensus mechanisms.
— Experience designing intuitive APIs and developer interfaces.
