Wheely is redefining premium transportation across major cities in Europe, the US, and the Middle East. The company is profitable, fast-growing, with $43M raised and over $100M in annual revenue, recently launched in New York City, and expanding rapidly across the US and EMEA.
Responsibilities:
— Work on privacy-focused systems and architecture that keep users' location data inaccessible, even to the company.
— Work across the stack using React, TypeScript, and Node.js or Golang to deliver high-quality solutions.
— Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Software Engineers to shape technical solutions from concept through production.
Requirements:
— 3+ years of experience as a Full-Stack or Frontend Engineer with backend experience.
— Commercial experience with Node.js; Golang is a plus.
— Strong frontend development experience with TypeScript, React, React Query, Redux or alternative state management libraries like MobX.
— Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern browser APIs.
— Familiarity with modern frontend tooling such as Vite/Webpack, ESLint, and package managers like npm or pnpm.
— Experience with automated testing including end-to-end tests (Playwright, Selenium), UI/Component tests (e.g. Jest), or snapshot tests.
— STEM (technical) degree.
Current stack includes Go microservices, Ruby monolith, Node.js, TypeScript, React, React Query, Vite, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, GRPC, Thrift, Redis, AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes.
Conditions:
— Office-based role in West London, four days a week with flexible start and finish times, plus one remote day of your choice.
— Salary £81,000 – £99,000 depending on experience.
