What You'll Do:
As a Growth Product Manager on Calm's direct-to-consumer business, you'll help more people discover, adopt, and build daily habits with Calm. You'll own the growth product strategy and roadmap, accountable for driving subscriber growth, activation, revenue per user, and retention. You'll set the priorities, design and run the experiments that test them, and partner with engineering, product design, marketing, data, and research to ship what works. Your goal is to make it effortless for users to form a lasting mindfulness habit while helping Calm reach and sustain its growth goals. You will drive measurable impact across top-of-funnel conversion, trial-to-paid transitions, user activation, and long-term retention. You will design, execute, and analyze product experiments in collaboration with engineering, design, marketing, and data science teams.
Day to day, you will:
— Own growth strategy and roadmap: Develop and own Calm's growth product strategy and roadmap, translating company revenue, subscriber, and DAU goals into a prioritized set of bets across activation, conversion, and retention.
— Run a high-velocity experiment program: Form sharp hypotheses, design and ship A/B tests with engineering and data science, and read results honestly — including the ones that don't win.
— Remove friction from key journeys: Use quantitative and qualitative data to find where users drop off in onboarding, habit-building, and account flows, then test simpler paths through them.
— Ship habit mechanics: Build the features that help users plan, track, and celebrate progress, so a first session becomes a daily practice.
— Write PRDs that make decisions easy: Spell out the job to be done, the opportunity, success metrics, and the plan to ship and iterate — then bring engineers, designers, marketers, and leadership along as the plan changes.
Who You Are:
— A growth PM, or equivalent, with 4+ years in consumer product, owning a growth metric (subscriber growth, conversion, retention) and setting strategy across consumer mobile (iOS and Android) and web.
— A subscription-business operator fluent in economics of consumer subscription (trial and paywall conversion, LTV, churn) and product decision impacts.
— Experienced in fast experiment design and analysis (A/B tests, holdouts, sequential testing) with statistical judgment.
— Data-fluent, adept at sourcing quantitative and qualitative data to prioritize roadmap and make feature calls.
— Knowledgeable in habit formation mechanics (streaks, reminders, progress, celebration).
— AI-native and tooling-fluent, proficient in leveraging AI tools to drive team velocity and workflows.
— Technically agile, comfortable discussing complexity and tradeoffs with engineers, able to prototype ideas.
— Exceptional at documentation and organization, maintaining experiment logs, results archives, and roadmap docs.
— A low-ego, persuasive partner, clear in communication with stakeholders and leadership, improving cross-functional collaboration.
Nice to Haves:
— Experience in subscription-based consumer tech (onboarding, paywalls, retention initiatives).
— Familiarity with product analytics or experimentation tools (e.g., Amplitude).
— Experience or passion for health & wellness domain.
— Experience developing features that drive habit formation and lifestyle change.
Minimum Requirements:
— 4+ years of relevant experience in growth, product management, or equivalent.
Compensation and Benefits:
— Base pay range: $147,800 - $226,700 per year, determined by geographic pay model based on employee location.
— Eligible for equity, comprehensive benefits, 401k, and flexible time off.
Additional Information:
— Calm is committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and providing reasonable accommodations.
— Employment offers contingent on background check; some roles may require drug screening.
