About the Client:
A consumer products brand organization working across consumer electronics, wellness, and lifestyle categories is hiring a Packaging Designer to own packaging and visual design across its portfolio. Work runs on launch cycles, with external vendors and production partners involved in most projects.
About the Role:
Day-to-day, the Packaging Designer leads packaging systems from concept through production, extends the brand's visual system across retail displays and campaign assets, and presents concepts to internal stakeholders and clients. Success means retail-ready packaging that holds up at print, and a visual system that stays consistent across packaging, retail, and marketing.
Core Responsibilities:

— Build dielines, artwork, and print-ready files that meet vendor and production specifications.
— Review proofs and press checks to confirm structural, material, and print accuracy.
— Track packaging projects against launch timelines and production deadlines.
Brand & Visual Systems:
— Translate brand strategy into packaging and structural design solutions.
— Maintain visual systems that stay consistent across packaging, retail, and marketing.
— Extend brand identities across new product lines and consumer touchpoints.
Art Direction & Retail Assets:
— Art direct product launches, packaging refreshes, and brand campaigns.
— Design retail displays, point-of-sale materials, and supporting brand assets.
— Keep retail-facing assets aligned with the live packaging system.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Presentation:
— Work with marketing, product development, production, and external vendors on each launch.
— Present concepts and design rationale to internal stakeholders and clients.
— Manage feedback cycles and turn revisions around within project timelines.
Creative Leadership:
— Mentor junior designers on packaging and production standards.
— Review team output against brand and print-quality standards.
— Document design standards and file conventions for reuse across projects.
Requirements:
Must-Have:
— 3+ years in packaging design, brand design, or creative direction with ownership from concept through production.
— Portfolio showing at least 2–3 packaging systems that shipped to retail, covering both structural and graphic work.
— Advanced Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign for dielines, artwork, and print layout.
— Working knowledge of packaging structures, substrates, print processes, and production specifications.
— Experience designing for consumer electronics, wellness, lifestyle, or consumer packaged goods brands.
— Demonstrated development of brand identities extended across packaging, retail, and marketing touchpoints.
— C1+ English (CEFR) for presenting concepts to client-side stakeholders.
